The food is great! We had trouble getting our order right, sent it back twice and still couldn't get it right. Gave up and ate it. They weren't even busy.

First off, great atmosphere! Second, the food we got was delicious, hot, and ready. Third... loved the music selection! Ok for the not so great stuff: Service was exceptionally slow, (sorry gotta be honest) took 37 minutes to place our order. I think they may have been short staffed or unprepared for the crowd. Our server was very nice and courteous. Women's bathroom has water by the toilets on the floor and the faucet has a large amount of corrosion on it. No biggie, although you want people to be able to wash their hands with warm water for sanitation purposes. This one may sound petty... I get it, but it's worth mentioning if you have southern messy foods and delicious desserts. You've GOT to give people napkins. The small paper towel that barely covers the utensils is not enough. As busy as you are, getting extras to the table makes the servers run much more than needed. Overall, fantastic spot, will definitely come back. Give a lady a huge napkin and we will get appetizers and dessert!

Always a Favorite! My husband and I have been coming to Lucy's on the Square for over 3 years now, and it's been consistently good every single time. This place truly feels like a hometown favorite with a cozy atmosphere and staff who are always kind, attentive, and welcoming. The burgers are pretty tasty, the patty melt sandwich, and chicken salad sandwich is perfection, and I'm a huge fan of their crispy tater tots and ranch! The quesadilla appetizer is also a winner, big enough to share or enjoy as a full meal. And don't sleep on dessert, the coconut cream pie is insanely good and clearly loved for a reason! Whether it's a relaxing weekend brunch or a casual dinner, Lucy's never lets us down. It's a solid, reliable go-to that always hits the spot.

Cheese Curds are the best appetizer (we have tried all of them).

The food is excellent and the customer service is usually excellent. It's a family oriented restaurant with a country feel. We have been a customer for over 5 years. We recommend Lucy's On the Square.

We took a day trip to Celina, Texas, desperately needing a little R&R. Our adventure led us to "Lucys on the Square." We were so lucky to find this lovely restaurant. It's located inside a tiny downtown area that supports the Celina Courthouse. It's so easy to park and walk. Bonus: There's a generous amount of handicap parking. If you love that quaint hometown feeling (you only see in movies) .. you'll find it here!! The restraunt was cozy, nostalgic, laid back, and full of Christmas spirit. It's a family owned business (my favorite!), and their vibe was comfort food, including homemade pies. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, which led to us eating wayyyy more than we should have, lol. We all ordered a variety of traditional breakfast items like eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, as well as biscuits with gravy. Fresh food, made to order, cooked perfectly - delicious!!! TIP: Well worth the trip if you live anywhere within driving distance. Just outside the door, we enjoyed taking pictures with a beautiful Christmas tree and holiday decorations provided by Celina. Families were gathered to enjoy this space, pets are welcomed, and kiosk interactive games are provided (free) for children. We will certainly go back. Meanwhile, I wanted to give them a well-deserved FIVE STAR review.

Came here on a Sunday and it was very busy so we had to wait about 15min. No biggie though! I would rate the bathrooms an 7/10. They were clean, dimly lit (which I appreciate in a bathroom) and 2 stalls in the ladies bathroom. 2 stalls was enough for the size of the restaurant. TP and soap were stocked up. They even had a little funny sign about not flushing feminine products. I bet you could use the restroom if you weren't a paying customer because they wouldn't really know. Especially when people stand outside waiting to be seated. Chicken fried chicken with chorizo gravy was excellent! The chicken was freshly battered in house and still hot when it came to the table. The Mac n cheese and homestyle potatoes were not tasty so skip those. But the rolls were soft and delightful. My friend got the BLT and she always orders that so I know that is good here.

I wouldn't return. The service was incredibly slow and there wasn't a feeling of warmth at this establishment but rather an eerie, unwelcoming feeling. The food was also subpar- lacking flavor. Though the chicken and waffles were decent.

Food was 11/10! Great price for the portions you get! Service was great! Definitely want to go back to try more of their comfort foods.

Lucy's is a casual, family oriented diner with great American food. This is a perfect spot for a family dinner or a casual lunch. The appetizers are all great, and the sandwiches and burgers are solid. The big country burger is absolutely massive and could easily feed two people. Definitely worth checking this place out on the square if you've never been.

Amazing people and amazing food. App: we got the fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms! Both were VERY good. Only suggestion would be to have mozzarella or another sauce with the friend tomatoes vs ranch. My chicken friend steak and fries were very very good! We for sure will be back

Oh, and don't worry about the shortcuts -- when they're done disappointing your taste buds, they'll hit you with a credit card fee for the privilege. Nothing says "we care about your experience" like charging you extra to leave poorer and hungrier than when you arrived. Save your money, your dignity, and your stomach. Go somewhere else to eat. Since we came in the middle of the week on a late afternoon we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Our waitress came over who was really sweet and had that southern Texas charm. I ordered the elote with homemade tortilla chips, gluten free Mac n cheese and my mom got a flatbread. Hands down that mac n cheese was the best I ever had, it was so creamy but not over powering with that bold cheese flavor and it was made with gf penne pasta (I know a little weird.. but it was the only gf noodle choice I had). If you don't have an allergy I'm sure the regular noodles are just as good! So if you want that comfort food that Texas is known for, this is the place to check out if you're in Celina.

There's plenty of seating inside, and the space feels open and comfortable. They also have tons of patio seating, which would be perfect on a nice evening. The interior has a rustic-industrial vibe, with a warm accent wall and touches like the decorative bureau that make the space feel thoughtfully designed. For dinner, we ordered the lime-marinated steak with rice and the citrus-grilled salmon. We subbed the sides for the broccoli salad and roasted vegetables, and everything came out quickly and piping hot. The flavors were fresh, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. We had to ask multiple times to speak to a manager as one was not sent over after the third ask. When a manager finally did arrive at the table he divulged that he had worked there for six years and they use Windex to clean the tables instead of sanitizing them ( which they apparently do at the end of the evening...). He also stated that they don't use degreaser on the tables, cause it leaves streaks... not sure that has anything to do with being up to code and actually disinfecting a table so patrons do not get sick. Being in the restaurant industry for as long as my husband and I have been we're questioning their serve safe certification and if they understand specific codes and policy, that you abide by working in the restaurant industry. Shame on the owner of this restaurant and all of the staff that are supposedly health code knowledgeable and certified. Please do better. My wife and I came in on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch slash early dinner and overall the experience just left us asking, do we not get it? The vibe is cool and the space itself is nice. We didn't do the golf bays, but they look like the main draw and I can see how that would be fun with the right group. From an atmosphere standpoint, no real complaints. Food is where things fell apart a bit. We both ordered the Local Burger and it was mid at best. The bun completely fell apart and the fries were soggy, which is always disappointing when you're paying for something that's clearly trying to present itself as elevated bar food. It is weird that the menu is so limited. Usually fine with that cause it makes the food that is there much better, but that didn't happen this time. Service didn't help much either. The servers were all in their early 20s and spent a good amount of time texting and loudly talking at the end of the bar. I honestly don't care about that as long as service is still attentive, but that part was missed. Drinks sat empty longer than they should have and it just felt disengaged. Overall, it feels like a place that's trying to be fancier than it actually is. The food doesn't justify the hype and I'm guessing the golf bays are what really make this place worth it. I might come back if a friend wanted to go, but it wouldn't be my pick.
