I'm a naughty person & was a little behind on filing my taxes for a few years. I messed up one year…read morewhen I used Credit Karma to file the previous year & it was filed for the current year. I was told I needed to file an amendment to the IRS & due to my error I never got around to figuring out how to do that so the years of taxes built up. I had seen the advertisement for this business in my neighborhood & finally reached out to Patrick via text. He called me the next day & I explained my situation to him and he was more then happy to help me out. I was able to text him some of my W-2's and he was able to give me an estimate of what was owed & what I was getting back. I soon after dropped off all my W-2 forms along with some other other forms that needed to be filed with each year's taxes. Patrick was impressed that I was very organized. I had a file for each year with the required documents that needed to be filed. So guys it definitely helps the person who's going to help you file your taxes if you have everything that you need to make it easier & quicker for the tax prepare to do your taxes. Patrick had my 6 years of taxes done within a short couple of days. I had stopped by his house (his office/business is there) to go over all the years. Two of them were too old that he wasn't able to file them electronically so we had to sign them & he gave me an envelope so I could mail them to the IRS. He doesn't mail any paper documents to the IRS for you, which is safe because your held responsible to get them out & make sure they go out. I hit up the post office that day & mailed them certified to the IRS so I would know that they got them. The rest of the years he was able to file electronically & I had given him my bank accountant info and he sent the rest with me right there electronically. I only ended up owing a small amt for one year & the rest I was getting a refund back. He was able to take his fee's out of my 2023 when he filed so I didn't have to pay him out of pocket. He does not take cash for filing your taxes. He was so great to work with. He was very friendly, explained everything and organized with my documents & had even given my copies of the filed tax forms & he keeps them on file for a few yrs so if you ever need a copy of one of them down the road you can reach out to him. He works from home & I felt safe & welcomed when I was @ his house. If your behind in your taxes or up to date & are looking for a great, fast, reliable person to do your taxes Patrick is your guy!! I'm so happy to finally be all caught up with my taxes that have been on my "to do list" for way to long!! lol Thank you Patrick for your fast, efficient, friendly service.

We trusted her. It cost us thousands…read more We received two IRS CP162A notices for fiscal years 2023 and 2024 due to failures by A #1 Tax & Bookkeeping Service to file our S-Corp returns on time. Cheryl Ross did not submit the corporate returns until 2025, resulting in penalties totaling $3,340.58. Our business has operated since 2003, and we have never been late filing our corporate taxes. We dropped off our corporate documents and personal tax documents together, each in clearly labeled envelopes. Despite this, the preparer stated she "didn't know" she was supposed to prepare and file the corporate return--something we believe is inconsistent with the facts, given that she had the documents in her possession. Additionally, she is not a CPA, yet there was no required signage at her place of business indicating this. She accepted payment for tax preparation services, and we are now facing more than $3,400 in IRS penalties as a result of the late filing. Based on our experience, taxpayers should be aware that the IRS holds the taxpayer--not the preparer--responsible for penalties, even when the preparer makes an error or oversight. Unfortunately, we learned this the hard way. We recommend choosing a qualified CPA to avoid similar issues and to ensure accountability and proper filing.

Unfortunately, that trust has been lost due to the lack of communication, professionalism, and transparency we have experienced. After our taxes were prepared, we discovered there was a significant difference between the refund amount we were originally told and what was reflected by the IRS. We immediately reached out multiple times by phone and text asking for an explanation and simply requesting communication. We were not asking for anything unreasonable we just wanted answers and an understanding of what happened. Despite multiple attempts to contact her, we still have not received any direct communication, phone call, or explanation. We were later informed through an email that our tax return had been amended, but we were never given a clear explanation of what was changed, why it was changed, or any opportunity to discuss the situation beforehand. This has been extremely disappointing and stressful. When you trust someone with something as important as your taxes, you expect honesty, professionalism, and communication. Unfortunately, that is not the experience we have had. We made every effort to resolve this privately and gave multiple opportunities for communication. We simply wanted answers and transparency, but we continue to be left without an explanation. Future clients deserve a tax professional who values communication, keeps clients informed, and takes their concerns seriously. Based on our experience, we would not recommend using this tax preparer. I truly hope this review encourages her to communication so we can finally resolve this matter. We never wanted it to get to this point. A simple courtesy call or honest explanation could have prevented a lot of frustration. We are still willing to have a professional conversation and understand what happened, but we need communication and transparency.
