Mr. Sherman's office completed my aunt's final tax return, calculated and mailed out all 24 1099 forms for the beneficiaries and provided copies of everything to me. He provided an audit representation guarantee that I did not need - but was good to have as an assurance. Depending on your needs, another qualified tax professional or bookkeeper may be able to assist, particularly if accounting or tax software has become too complicated. For those specifically looking for a CPA, I recommend checking the Nevada Society of CPAs' Find-a-CPA directory. One clarification regarding registered agents: a Nevada LLC or corporation must maintain a registered agent in Nevada even if you personally live in the state. However, if you meet Nevada's requirements, you may be able to serve as your own registered agent rather than paying for a commercial registered-agent service. In my case, I also had serious concerns about Katherine's conduct while she was serving as my registered agent. Based on my experience, I believe her actions unnecessarily put my interests at risk. I have retained documentation relating to what occurred and, if necessary, am prepared to address the matter through the appropriate legal process.
