When the firm's designated tax expert became unavailable during tax season, there was no notification to clients. We only found it out by calling the office as we became concerned not hearing anything from the accountant for more than a month. We received only verbal assurances from support staff that our filing would be completed on time. Despite multiple follow-ups into April, there was no written communication from the firm or any of its partners regarding our filing status. Just one week before the April 15 deadline, the assistant informed us that an extension would be filed, despite previously assuring us that it wouldn't be necessary. Given the lack of clear communication and reliance solely on verbal reassurances from non-professional staff, we made the decision to file our own taxes on April 13. We are relieved that we did so, as it turned out we owed taxes much more than last year. This experience reflects a troubling lack of professionalism, transparency, and reliability. We won't trust this firm for our investment. If they don't support their own tax accountant when he needs them the most, how can we trust them? read more

I'm not sure how we ended up on this list but I RSVP'd bc I was interested in tax strategies, which were mentioned on the invitation. Specifically charitable giving and deductions. Neither was mentioned in the discussion. We were the first of 8 couples to arrive and I have NO IDEA what the man greeting us thought, but he was shaking my hand as he started sharing his displeasure about gun laws three states over. I felt like a hypocrite enjoying a free meal after that. It was hard to process the information being shared since we were still trying to figure out the gun conversation. There was a tone to the event. We text our actual financial counselor who warned us against some pending actions involving two of the people listed on the invitation. I can't speak to how well they manage money bc I wouldn't feel comfortable working with anyone I met that evening. The dinner was amazing. read more

Today I came with a reservation for a talk with Anthony Napolitano, would not have booked if I saw cornerstone anywhere on the invitation, wasted my time. Well it created a date nite so we are dining at Flemings.. ha But a wealth manager who treats potential clients like this, I would say BEWARE. We have been with Cornerstone for a year now after attending one of their seminar dinners that was fantastic. We were able to meet a lot of the staff members and all have been very helpful and always respond when we need them. We have had other financial planning firms that claim to do full service and never perform. Cornerstone actually is a full service company from legal, taxes, social security benefit management, insurance and offer a myriad of investment options. They actually listen to your needs and offer a variety of plans tailored to you and your lifestyle and consider your total needs, not just stocks. All we ever have to do is just call and they take care of the matter with the appropriate staff member. Anthony is always available. Our first financial plan produced a 15% return. We have been with them a number of years. Initially I talked to two other firms that had a big staff (lawyer, CPA, etc. on staff) but I wasn't "comfortable" with their commissions and didn't like everything tied to the stock mkt. We are in quite a few different products that are long term (which we are ok with) and some have paid out quite nicely. We have also done some bank notes and annuities.They understand that we will initiate our purchases but they will also offer us alternative products. We also have a Fidelity account for when we play the mkt. I will never understand people that are not active in their finances. read more

For decades, my husband and I have been saving and investing for our retirement. In the past, we have worked with a number of Financial Management Teams in different well-known, large companies. Their investment products are relatively limited, focused mostly on common stocks, funds, and annuities. My wife and I have been clients for about six months. There was never any pressure applied to become clients. We had three meetings before deciding these guys were the ones for us. They are all very knowledgable, professional, respectful, and kind. They allow you to speak and they actually listen to you! Based on what we said, they developed investments to meet our needs. They are also very responsive if you need to reach them. I understand they offer monthly functions to attend, but now because of Covid 19, they are delaying functions until things with Covid 19 improve. They have all the necessary licenses for all investments. They own their own building, and will be around long after us older people are gone!
