He told me that it would take 1 to 2 business days and that I would have my plates by that Friday. Don't deal with the DMV! Not only is it difficult to make an appointment, but it also is difficult to get the website to work correctly. I'd rather deal with the person who cares about your business, versus a governmental agency that does not care about people's time and energy that it takes to make an appointment. I first tried to register a car and boat trailer on the DMV website. Upon checking, there was a 6 week wait before an appointment can be scheduled. Since I wasn't able to wait the 6 weeks, I figured I would just go in person... only to find out that they only have "walk-ins" on Wednesdays. Wow, what a fantastic service. Having called the DMV with no answer all week, I with a new hip, drove all the way down there only to find out you have to make an online appointment. I waited 2 hours just to try to get a temporary registration and was still waiting when I finally heard about Mobile DMV services and called them.
