I only had two weeks left until my taxes had to be done. I called A#1 and luckily they were able to squeeze me in. No appointment was needed, I just had to drop off my documents and they would contact me if they had any questions. Later on that week Cheryl emailed me with plenty of questions as expected since I just recently moved out of state and bought and sold a house. Anytime Cheryl had any questions she would email which was great for me due to traveling for work. Taxes were completed in time and I did not have any problems, thank you A#1. read more

UPDATE: I have no choice, but to edit my review of this business. My God, what a disappointment it turned out to be. Just before this year's taxes, we received a notice from the IRS, that the taxes this woman filed for us last year were not correct, in the amount of $5,000! I called and called, no call backs. After at least 6 messages, some guy answered and said he'd have Cheryl call me. She didn't. I called about 3 more times, then she sends me an email, asking for a good review??? I don't think so. I highly regret using this awful business and cannot recommend them to anyone! read more

I've been using A1 documents aka Cheryl to do my taxes for years now. She's efficient and easy! I recommend her to everyone I know.

My experience was as follows for a virtual notarization of 4 documents: Upon completing the identification process, I was connected with A#1. The microphone on Notary's laptop was inoperable, a frequent occurrence, according to the notary, Carl Ross. We continued via cell phone and video. Before beginning the process, I specifically asked him if the format he used would be accepted by the Clark County Recorder. After consulting with a colleague, he confirmed, without qualification, that it would be. Although I sent four documents, as we continued with the call, it was clear that he only looked at the first page. When I told him there were four documents, he reformatted to notarize all four documents. That was the problem. The formatting caused sequential page numbers to be attached to the documents which made them ineligible for recording, contrary to his prior advice. It is common knowledge that strict formatting rules are required to record documents. When I called to have the documents renotarized individually, Carl denied making the unqualified statement and insisted on charging the full fee again to renotarize the documents. I understand mistakes, But I don't believe I was treated fairly and that neither Carl nor his office equipment is up to the professional standards that I would expect. read more

Let me start by saying Cheryl is a nice lady, if you want the ability to communicate with your tax preparer, choose someone else. Her pricing was extremely fair, now the bad, she made a mistake I found unilaterally that worked to my detriment in the amount of $2000. She entered a value on the wrong line. Every time you call to talk to her the husband runs interference and tells you she will call you back. Well, that is debatable. Cheryl bites off more than she can chew and overextends herself with an overload of tax preparation that makes individual contact nearly impossible. I called the next year just to see what the charge would be as my tax return is considerably less detailed as the year I used her I retired and sold two properties and bought one in Nevada. Of course once again no way to speak to her and was told she will call you. NEVER DID. I just bought the H&R Block software and did it myself and I use to do yearly. read more

No value add, look elsewhere. Called for in-home title service involving private party transfer. Carl (owner) came to our home. After allowing title to be signed incorrectly, Carl said that notary isn't required for private party in Nevada. He charged $30 for a service we didn't need and left us with in improperly signed tile. We asked for half (not all) of our money back. He refused saying he doesn't understand the forms, he arrived not knowing what we needed (blamed his office for this), that all a notary does is "witness", and that we should resolve any prob with title through DMV. In other words, A1 isn't accountable for anything and customers are on their own. Completely worthless. read more

RE: 2020 IRS TAX RETURN: Extremely disappointed with Cheryl Ross' service. She rarely returns calls, is indignant when trying to explain what she did, and because of her laziness we are having to hire another tax accountant to go over her work and submit an amended return. We cannot rely on her "experience" since some errors were found and she does not return correspondence (texts). Tried several times to no avail. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE. read more

I had to have a 1040 and a 1041 for estate taxes done. Cheryl said she could do both. After doing the 1040 she kept putting me off on the 1041. I would call every so often and would here "I am busy, we'll do it after April 15", then, "I am busy with business/corporate tax clients". After the tax filing is now late, I finally went to Block. They corrected the 1040 Cheryl had done and that was $99. Then they happily took care of the estate taxes. If you can't do the work, don't string-along the customer! Very unprofessional. read more

I am VERY disappointed using this service for the first time. She didn't file my taxes immediately upon completion causing a delay in receiving my refund and she "CHOSE", without my knowledge or communication, to have my taxes mailed via "snail-mail" rather than my usual direct deposit causing an even longer delay in receiving my refund. I will not be using her services next year nor recommend her due to her carelessness. read more

At first I was spectacle, because I am all about reading reviews from other peoples experiences, but there weren't on here, so I took a chance. As I went to Cheryl I admit I was very much impressed with her knowledge, respect for all my questions and concerns, her patience, and most of all her integrity. A #1 Document Services has provided my tax services for two years. The service was very good and nothing was missed. I was happy to have my taxes done. This year was another good service, but definitely lacking in communication. Yes, I owed. I wanted to make payments but this was never asked and that needs to take place with A #1 letting the IRS know this. Well this did not happen and the IRS took my entire amount owed without warning!
