Very kind and helpful. Efficient with my time. I will be coming back for my next smog check.

Price was reasonable but communication is a bit of a problem. It failed the first time because a recent battery replacement. I was able to understand that so we drive it a few weeks and it passed. read more

Thank you Toan for the great service! I was in and out within 15 minutes! I called to make sure he was able to take me in since it was last minute and he helped me right away read more

I needed a smog check and my mom recommended I go here! It's right on gas station property, so if you need gas right after, it's the perfect place! the man in charge is really nice and efficient. I will most definitely be coming back for my next smog check! read more

Needed smog for pre2000 truck This smog takes longer than a newer car but trung was efficient and got me out quickly. Friendly and clean

Always take all my family cars here for smog checks. The owner's friendly and service is fast. It's next to a gas station.

They made this kind of annoying chore easy, simple, straightforward. I didn't have issues with my car but the person in front of me didn't pass and they took the time to explain really thoroughly what he would need to do to pass next time. read more

Big shout out to the guy who runs this place. He really knows his stuff. My sons car needed a smog check, after have some work done at another location. We went here for the smog. While I didn't know the car needed to be driving for 100miles before we got the smog. So we failed. The guy was really nice, said to drive the cars for 100miles and come back. So my kid did that. And when we came back, he check it, and it wasn't ready. So he said drive it again for another 40mins on the free way and then come back. Came back he checked it and it still wasn't ready. He said go drive if for two days straight, for 40mins and then come back. Well we did that, he check the car again. And it was ready. So we smog the car again, and we passed. If you're looking for someone to be honest and up front. Go here! read more

Took my mom's car for a smog test. No lines, no other cars. Part of an Ampm, I think. Very clean and had space for a waiting area. Shop owner was very nice. Worked on the test quickly. In and out of there in 30 mins. read more

Great place to get a smog check! Service was quick, very friendly, and reasonably priced.

The Lucky Smog workshop is spotless. I didn't get the name of the technician who did the work, but I suspect he's the owner. He was very careful to use a seat protector when he got in my vehicle and generally treated the vehicle with care. He was efficient, took his time, and made sure the work was done properly. Highly recommended. read more

Inexpensive only 50.00 fast and mechanic Toan was nice and friendly highly recommended

My husband and I have both been coming here since our cars have gotten older and we need smog checks every other year. It is attached to an Arco station (not affiliated) so just pull on in. There is ample parking behind the gas station in case you have to wait. Tom the owner has always been very nice. He explains everything and the certificate is automatically sent to the DMV. I also like the added touch of his kid's diplomas on the wall. This is a no frills place but there is a clean waiting area with chairs and some reading material. The price is right on par with others and they offer free retests. I've never had to wait long and we've always passed. read more

If the smog check tech from this shop tells you that your car failed the smog test, you need to see your auto mechanic to find out why and ONLY LISTEN to your auto mechanic. No one knows your car better than you and/or your longtime mechanic whom you have entrusted to provide the best service for your car. There are people out there who claimed to be "mechanic" but in reality they do not know what they're doing. Remember, there are hundreds of reasons to why the car's engine is on RED esp. cars of older models. Do NOT listen to anyone telling you to REPLACE any parts to your cars without consulting w/ your mechanic because you will unknowingly do further damage to the cars. My mechanic said, "Only LESS THAN 1% of cars that failed smog check were due to Catalytic Converter!" Replacing 1 or 2 parts of this part will cost you thousands of dollars! TALK TO YOUR MECHANIC TO DIAGNOSE AND TREAT THE RIGHT DISEASE! Good luck and STAY AWAY from this shop. read more

He's a nice guy, gave me great advice about how to get my sticker faster and most importantly, only 50.00 for my Honda Civic.

Having an old car, I go to Lucky Smog Check every year. The mechanic/owner is so exceptionally helpful, efficient, thorough and courteous, I thought I should share this with others. Perhaps cost for the smog check varies by car (I have a small 4 door), but including the receipt which is sent to the DMV, I give him $60.00 and get change back. Seems reasonable to me. I remember others who have a $29.99 sign outside, but by the time you're finished, it's about the same. Exceptional service is rare, and you get it at Lucky Smog Check. read more

Great service, very fast work. It's a small place but gets the job done. I called around my neighborhood and they offered the best price. They were about $10 cheaper than Easy Smog off Artesia, and $20 cheaper than Protek Auto. So for about $50 we were able to get our Smog Check and DMV Certificate. I will definitely go back here for my other cars. read more

Great service. Toan is friendly and knowledgable. Quick! Really confident too, next to a gas station. read more

Lucky Smog Check - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Long Beach, California

Great place for a smog check. Best price compared to other places in the North Long Beach area. Will be bringing my cars here.

The technician is blatantly racist and reckless with providing a professional service. My vehicle had some issues and I needed to get them fixed and I was guaranteed a free retest upon getting the things fixed. I had very expensive work done on my vehicle and bought it back for the retest. The technician asked me questions about the work that was done and stated that he wasn't sure if it would pass at this point. I tried to understand his concern but he just said if you trust your mechanic then II take your word for it. He wasn't willing to explain what his cryptic statement meant. I expressed that I was nervous to go forward if there is a concern and and he gave me no additional feedback. I know that the mechanic did the work so the problem is that the smog technician knew that coming straight from the mechanic would require that the car be driven to get a proper read. He knew that it would fail again and he did a smog test anyway. I know he knew because after failing the car again he mentioned that 100 miles would need to be driven on the car after getting work done and insisted that it was the mechanics responsibility to tell me that and not him. I'm confident that if I wasn't a female minority, I would have been treated differently. read more

The price is fair. $50 for the smog check. The work is fast. I was in and out. I'll keep going to this spot for smog checks

this is the second time I have been to this smog station and both times the guy that worked there has been friendly and nice. He doesn't charge a lot and the service was quick. not a long wait at all. would recommend this place to anyone read more

This man hooked my wife's car up and started to run a smog on her Jeep when I had already had it smogged and it past with flying colors. I know for a fact as I have seen it with my own eyes and have several mechanic friends who have run machines in the past. When they start the run it brings up the vehicles entire smog history so he was informed by the "state connected" machine right away that it had already passed smog. But it did not stop there, he tried to tell her she did not have the right type of gas cap and he could not legally let her leave unless she...you guessed it BOUGHT A NEW ONE FROM HIM. He just happened to have the very kind that her older model jeep needed. I feel this man saw an inexperience women and tried to take advantage of her to the fullest. I hope the $51 was worth it LUCKY SMOG! read more
