Xiaolongbao
Christine T.

Found this place on Yelp and wanted to give it a try when we are in the area. It's a family restaurant, but very organized and clean. It was crowded at lunchtime, but we were seated quickly. We tried xiao long bao, shrimp fried rice, and beef noodles soup. They all came out at the perfect temperature and were nicely presented. Xiaolongbao was juicy and meaty, served with ginger-soy sauce for dipping. Shrimp fried rice was tasty with perfect rice texture. Beef noodle soup was served with a balanced portion of noodles and beef. The meat was tender, noodles' texture was soft chewy, and broth was flavorful. Service was also fast and attentive. Highly recommended.

Friendly family owned staff. Inside is nicely arranged. I love the cute designs on their chopstick holders or sauces. Solid food that was very reasonably priced. Wonton noodle soup: really enjoyed the broth which was very flavorful. Tasty chicken and shrimp pieces. Lots of celery which I'm not a huge fan of but didn't mind it here Pork XLB: solid, tasty, nice and soupy, amazingly priced Black gold molten lava buns: runny egg custard filling, aesthetically looks cool, I think overpriced relative to other items (and able to get elsewhere for probably cheaper) but still enjoyable Beef potstickers: my least favorite just because I felt they weren't as crispy as I wanted. I'll definitely come back in the future. Service was great. Foods solid and for a great price. I want to try the pan fried pork buns in the future but it takes 25 min so plan ahead if you're interested. Always enjoy supporting locally owned restaurants! Service: 5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 5.5

First time here since they replaced Dumpling Village We ordered the XLB and spicy braised beef noodle soup. The XLB were so soupy and my mom really liked it. The noodle soup was bland, the beef was not tender and we didn't like their noodles. Prices were not too bad and the food was fresh. There was only 1 server but he was very quick and efficient

Hidden gem truly, this place seriously had the best beef onion dumplings. it was so juicy and full of soup flavor. I've never had dumplings these good in my life. The xiao long baos were equally as good and had so much soup in it. The meat in both were so juicy and yummy. I couldn't believe it. Also the honey walnut shrimp were crispy and truly so flaky and buttery. It was so much better than anything I've had a panda express. The service was super good as well. They asked us multiple times if the food was good and gave us suggestions. The ambience is nice and it is super clean. They cleaned the tables right away and are kind.

Spicy Beef Noodle Soup

After 3 amazing visits, I had to drop a review. This local gem needs more attention! The food is AMAZING and authentic. From the delicious dumplings, to the fantastic fried rice, to the garlicky crunchy cucumbers, to the house made chili oil (which I would buy in bulk if allowed) this spot is great. I tried the spicy beef noodle soup today because last time I was here, multiple tables had it and it looked great.... It really is! Fresh noodles, flavorful beefy broth, tender beef and u have to add a little black vinegar and as much chili oil as your pallet can handle! You can thank me later! Service was fast and attentive. Food came out hot and full of flavor! Support this local gem and give them a try. I haven't had a miss yet!

Spicy Beef Noodle Soup Beef chowmein Fried cheese wonton

I went with my sister and the food was no joke the best we've ever had. The beef chowmein was perfect, as was the spicy beef noodle soup, fried cheese wontons, and spicy pork xiao long bao. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive our entire stay! This is definitely going to be our go-to from now on. We do wish there were a bit more soft drink options though! Maybe in the future? Lovely restaurant, very clean and calm vibes. Absolute 10/10

We came in craving jiajiang mian and left so happy with everything we ordered! The pork xiao long bao were perfectly cooked -- and you can see a woman in the kitchen making them fresh. It instantly reminded me of watching my mom make them when I was little. The sautéed green beans were super fresh with great flavor. The beef roll is one of my favorites -- so good. Fried rice was solid and satisfying. And the jiajiang mian? Loved that they add cucumber -- it gives it that refreshing crunch, just like my mom used to make. We love supporting small businesses, and this one definitely did not disappoint. We'll absolutely be back!

Vegetable Chow Mein

I really wanted to like this place based on all the really good reviews and the packed dining room as I entered, but my to-go order just didn't fit my expectations. I placed a to-go order online and arrived in 20 minutes as stated when it would be ready. I did like that the prices are reasonable and they are not price gouging you like some other unmentioned restaurants in RC. At the counter, the very nice female cashier took my payment and packaged my order with the sauces, napkins, and utensils. One thing I did notice on walking into the restaurant was that it was very stuffy and hot, so not sure if their a/c was working, but it was very uncomfortable. I didn't want to delay my enjoyment of these 3 dishes that I ordered, so I stopped in a parking lot to taste the food while it was still fresh. Orange Chicken: I read so many reviews on how this was the most amazing orange chicken, but this was the least liked dish that I ordered. First of all, it was nicely packaged in a plastic to-go container, but it didn't have any way for the steam to escape, so what I received after a 5 minute drive from the restaurant was a soggy, lumpy mess of battered chicken. The chicken is made with the white/breast meat so it's very dry and the batter may have been good when first cooked, but by this time it was very soggy. The orange sauce was practically nonexistent at this point due to the batter steaming inside the container and soaking up all the sauce. I ate two bites and was done. I probably could have managed to eat it but the chicken was so dry. I'm sure it's much better when eaten in person. Green Beans: I really liked the green beans. I asked to add garlic since the menu description didn't specify if there was any, but they must have understood it as asking for extra garlic cuz there was a lot, but I was not mad about it. I love garlic. The green beans were slightly crunchy, maybe not as much as I would have liked but they were flavorful and delicious and I could eat them all day long. Vegetable Chow Mein: The chow mein was also really good. I wasn't expecting the Pad Thai/linguini shaped noodles, but there's something about them that just works better, in my opinion, than spaghetti noodles. There were a few vegetables, not as many as I would have liked as this was a vegetarian dish without meat. There were some broccoli, carrots, cabbage, and water chestnuts. The sauce was flavorful and the noodles were covered in sauce, no dry noodles here. I will update my review soon, because I think maybe ordering to-go is not the best way for this type of restaurant. Everything is made fresh and to order and is best consumed on premises. My next visit I will be dining in to experience what others have joyously experienced and update my review then.

We had Friday dinner here and it was worthy. No wait and seated right away . Their food was good. The price was reasonable. The ambiance was very simple. The attendant was nice.

Bad service

We got skip and they are not comunitive . I would not come to eat here again . They act like robots

Pork steamed dumplings. sorry we forgot to take a photo of the Xiao Long Bao, it was so delicious we finished it fast.

We ate here a couple weeks ago, I got so busy before posting and I read really good reviews that I said they didn't need my review. They deserve to be praised. Real authentic good food, I was tempted to keep coming back to find out what else is good here, it seems everything in the menu is good. I so love this place. Great service, one thing people always come back for, service, not just food. Comfortably compact seating. Definitely my go-to dumpling place.

Many of the dishes are meant to be shared, making it a good spot to order a few plates for the table. The cucumber salad is a solid starter. It is something refreshing to snack on while you wait for the rest of your food. I ordered the Cheese and Chicken Rolls along with the Golden Prime Beef Soup. The rolls were rather greasy and indulgent, and I would probably skip them next time. If you must try them, I'd recommend limiting yourself to one or two pieces. The Golden Prime Beef Soup, on the other hand, packs a serious kick. If you can't handle much spice, definitely let the staff know. Those bright red chilies aren't just for show; their heat permeates the entire broth. My conclusion is about the same as my introduction: the fare is inoffensive, but it's consistent and good. It's a dependable option when you're looking for a casual Chinese meal without much fuss.

Just the right amount of salt and garlic, and what a crunch. The hot and sour soup, authentic and better than Chinatown. It's salty, spicy, vinegary, bamboo shoots was crushy too. The roasted duck was spectacular, crunchy skin and flavorful meat. Perfect seasoning. The orange chicken is a must. Crunchy and so so tasty. Every chicken pieces were crunchy and no bad pieces in this batch. This is not your panda Express orange chicken or Panda Inn, this is your Mr Chows Beverly hills orange chicken. The quality is un-matched. I don't know what these noodles are but they are crunch and delicious. I am so satisfied, and I also love the prices too, very good for this quality. Chicken dumplings had a good filling to wrapper ratio, but the filling needed way more seasoning. It just tasted like wet, mushy stuff inside, and drowning the dumpling in chili oil barely helped. And the two fried dishes weren't flavorful either--they weren't dredged very well, so they just tasted like oil. This was especially disappointing for the scallion pancake, since it looked nice...but didn't taste of scallions at all. Overall, really disappointing. They could have been busy with online orders, but I still felt like it was slow service for being nearly empty inside. They have a self serve sauce bar. It just has soy, soy mixed sauce, chili oil, and black vinegar. I ordered the Wide Hand Pulled Noodles, Green and Onion Pot Stickers, and the Beef Rolls. Wide Hand Pulled noodles were ok. Honestly not much to brag about. I thought the noodles were cooked well but the flavor didn't really stand out to me. I believe it's served with chili oil, a mound of minced garlic and some vegetables. Outside of those ingredients I thought it needed more flavor or substance. The beef rolls were ok to me as well. I liked how crispy the roll was and size. Good portions of sliced beef served with cilantro. It was refreshing but the meat was generally cold with some warmness provided by the roll. But that quickly faded. Would prefer it to be warmer. The highlight was the pot stickers. Beef and onion were good. Really enjoyed the presentation of the dish. The edges of the pot sticker were really thick. Almost chip like. I enjoyed it as much as the dish itself. Would get it again. Overall I thought the food was ok. I'm sure there are better highlight dishes than what I ordered but they weren't selected this go around. Also the prices are a little higher than most dumpling spots so I just expected more.

Unfortunately, our family's experience was a huge disappointment. The restaurant was nearly empty, with plenty of open tables, yet we were asked to wait 25 minutes. It was already close to 8 PM! After finally being seated, we found that the dishes and bowls were not even ready because the staff was still washing them. We paid nearly $46 per person for the premium dining option, expecting fresh seafood and good-quality food. However, the seafood didn't seem fresh, and the shrimp and squid appeared to be in poor condition. The promotional video showed a variety of seafood, including oysters and mussels, but I didn't see those items being served during our visit. The Wagyu beef took far too long to arrive every time we ordered it, and the soup broth tasted like plain water with almost no flavor. Even the kids' food was disappointing. The French fries were so underwhelming that I could make better ones at home! For $46 per person, I expected much better food quality and service. Between the long wait, unprepared dishes, slow service, disappointing food, and questionable seafood freshness, this experience was absolutely not worth the money. The promotional video created high expectations, but the actual experience was the complete opposite. Our family will not be returning, and I would not recommend this restaurant at this price.
