Plain cake and a strawberry glaze with rainbow sprinkles. Not bad!
    Frank G.

So much for "best donuts EVER" lol. I normally trust recent reviews because they haven't steered me wrong.. until now. To start on a good note: the woman to help us pick our donuts was very sweet and was patient with us while we chose our dozen. Now this is where things start to go from "good" to "not so good." To start it's $10.00 for a dozen, not bad but you can find other donut locations in town for cheaper, plus the quality is better "I'll get to that next". Quality: if I had to rate it on a number scale it would be a "3 out of 5", just like the star rating lol. The plain cake is actually "good" going into "very good", it's soft, moist, and has a very good flavor. We also got a glaze "soft but falls flat" metaphorically speaking as well as literally speaking. The donut goes flat after biting into it, unlike other glaze donuts I've had. The chocolate cake donuts with chocolate glaze had an awkward flavor to it, just like the strawberry glaze. The blueberry cake donuts were good but after a few bites my wife found that you couldn't taste the blueberry anymore. Overall: I would stick to Scotty's Donuts on Walnut, that's our usual go-to spot for donuts but today we wanted to try something new like any Yelper seeking fun and great reviewed spots! Unfortunately this spot was a miss instead of the always "hit" you get from fellow Yelpers. For $10.00 a dozen I'd definitely choose another establishment that has better quality for your buck. I'm thankful for the service but other than that.. I don't feel like I'll be returning anytime soon.

Breakfast croissant was basic and tasty. Donuts were really fluffy but the glazing was average. Overall I would give it a good review because it did satisfy our breakfast and donuts cravings!

    Bacon topped Maple Bar
    Wednesday M.

Stopped by to pick up a donut and hot cocoa and ended up getting a BLT combo for lunch. Everything I ordered was delicious! I recommend not only trying the donuts here but picking up a combo sometime. The maple bar with bacon was salty & sweet, soft and pillowy very good.. however they are a hit or miss. Glazed old fashioned has the slightest citrus taste to it that was very delightful! Croissants are large & fluffy, these pair perfectly with a cup of their hot chocolate on cold mornings. The people are friendly and customer service was on point! I highly recommend checking out this donut shop! 10/10

Looking for the perfect fluffy donut ..look no where else...I have been to this place years ago...& my friend was raving of how good they were ....idk if it's diffrent owners from the last time we were there.. They have so much selection for people who don't care for donuts..everything is great... The owner is the sweetest lady ever...coffee is strong like I like it...clean place

Delicious and cheap with great customer service. They also have really good sandwiches for breakfast, and a variety of donuts as well.

This place is so good. Just behind 7/11. The donuts tastes exactly how I remember when I'd get some with my grandparents so many years ago.

Great donuts, good selection and fresh. Wish they would make cronuts, but what they have will satisfy your sweet tooth.

I've definitely been coming here since the beginning, thanks to my mom! It's stood out from the very beginning & I love how much they have expanded. There's something for everyone on their men. I think they have some of the best matcha's around (but if you drink your matcha with LOTS of sweetener.. you probably won't like a real matcha from here) -- I say this bc people complain that it taste like GRASS... and well, it damn near is (green tea leaves) lol -- all jokes aside, their drinks and food are all hand crafted and all made and / or roasted in house! I have not once ever had a complaint about this place. I love the ambience inside and out. Plenty of spaces to work from (one of my fav spots) Service is always ask expected for hand crafted drinks and food! The workers are always very knowledgeable about their menu items & products, love that! Their pop tarts... if you can get them when they have them.. TRY THEM OUT!! Actually, all their pastry's and breakfast items are delicious! (I just always forget to take pictures) haha I will always come here for food/homemade pastries , a drink or to work!

You find it because someone told you about it, or because you were looking for a place that feels a little more city than Central Valley. Brick walls, hanging art, a patio out front call it rustic, call it urban, call it hipster. Whatever the word is, it fits. Inside, the place hums. Not the quiet hum of a sleepy café, but the full‑volume buzz of people who treat coffee shops like co‑working spaces. The whole back section was a sea of laptops when I walked in, a slow tide of remote workers drifting out as the hour passed. Young folks, older folks, groups talking over each other a mix that tells you this spot has become a kind of community hub, even if the noise makes it hard to read without noise‑canceling buds. I came for a simple moment, a London Fog and a book. The tea was good, made with Rishi, a brand I'd never heard of but wouldn't mind trying again. I sipped it slowly, trying to sink into the page, but the chatter kept pulling me back to the room. Not a bad thing, just not the right place for quiet reflection. Some cafés are built for solitude; this one is built for motion. The staff was friendly, your standard modern barista crew, casual, quick, and easygoing. They run a tight operation, even offering mobile orders, something you usually see in bigger industrial coffee spots. Pastries, sandwiches, teas, espresso, the menu covers all the bases. Finding the entrance was its own adventure. Two doors, a divider in the middle, and a moment of "Wait... which side do I go through?" Not a dealbreaker, just one of those quirks that makes you laugh once you figure it out. Lighting is interesting here, low lamps mixed with a flood of natural light pouring in from the center of the shop. It gives the place a warm‑meets‑industrial feel, like a café that grew out of a warehouse and decided to keep the personality. Will I come back? Maybe. It's a great spot for people‑watching, conversation, or getting work done. But for reading, for sinking into a book with a drink, it's a place that demands either silence from the world or silence from your earbuds. Component Coffee Lab is loud, lively, and loved, just not quiet. And maybe that's the point.

Thankfully, I just parked on the street, which gave me time to gaze at the trays upon trays of delicious donuts. The amazing thing about Scotty 's is they have the best raised donuts I've ever had in my life. So I bought a raised doughnut plain with glaze, a raised donut with a delicious cinnamon nut topping, and also a chocolate covered raised bar. Supreme. My friends introduced me to Scotty's and said every time they come to Visalia they go by Scotty's. Well... I think I'm committing to the same factor. Visalia visit equals a Scotties run. Hope others will join in!
