Oh my gosh, another fabulous Scotties run when I was down in Visalia. My friends took me to the one that's on the east side of town. When I was hunting for the address because I didn't exactly know where it was, I found this one which was right around the corner from the friend I was visiting. Awesome! It too is when one of those funky old 1950s drive-through's, which you have to be really sharp about figuring out how to drive through so that your windows on the right side. Thankfully, I just parked on the street, which gave me time to gaze at the trays upon trays of delicious donuts. The amazing thing about Scotty 's is they have the best raised donuts I've ever had in my life. So I bought a raised doughnut plain with glaze, a raised donut with a delicious cinnamon nut topping, and also a chocolate covered raised bar. Supreme. My friends introduced me to Scotty's and said every time they come to Visalia they go by Scotty's. Well... I think I'm committing to the same factor. Visalia visit equals a Scotties run. It's right off of the road, but the need to find another way to have people come through drive through b/c it can be dangerous if someone isn't paying attention. Ambiance: +1 Scotty's gives the "corner store" vibe. They sell more than Donuts. Chips, Coffee, even Boba. Price: +1 Affordable. I have no regrets. I'm going to be honest, I've been a frequent customer for this donut shop for 12+ years and I've seen many workers come and go there. They have always had good customer service. The food was always consistent, but recently I noticed that the prices increased twice this year(inflation and payroll most definitely was a factor) but the quality has decreased significantly. I was surprised I paid 5.25 for a jalapeño cheese and ham croissant. Quite frankly k wouldn't mind d spending the money if the quality was there. But 5.25 for a non flaky generic unflavored croissant with one slice of Costco ham with an exact tablespoon of cream cheese and 3 slices of jalapeño can not justify that price point. To be completely honest I know that it's something that you treat yourself to every now and then. But I feel like I'd rather drive to the Mary's vineyard shopping center for their croissants. It's about the same price but it's no where near the same quality. Besides that point all the older Mexican dudes are happy chillen and drinking their 3.50 coffees outside on the bench. Its parking is not bad (off the street/ to the side) they do have a really good Vietnamese coffee. Always get the XL but anything else I'll probably have to pass. read more

I typically go to Doughboy's which is across the street, but I wanted to give Scotty's a try. You have the option to park and walk up to the window to order or go through the drive thru. They have a bench where you can sit and enjoy your donut, but it's outdoors with no overhead covering. PARKING: Free in the lot it's located. DRIVE-THRU: They have a drive through window to the right of the building if you're looking it on Houston. Only two cars can wait in line or else you're blocking the main road. Service is pretty quick. BLUEBERRY OLD FASHION: One of my go to orders at every donut shop and really sad to say I didn't like Scotty's version. It tasted like it's been old, like a few days old. I have been eating donuts for over 60 years. These donuts are well made. I recommend the Boston cream and Old Fashion.

Between the wife and I we have been craving donuts a couple weekends in a row. Yelp don't judge. This location has a drive up and walk up window. Really good donuts. We really like their old fashioned buttermilk ones. They have a blueberry one that's good. This is our go to location so I can't vouch for their other ones but this one has good donuts and friendly staff. read more

This incident happened months ago. I ordered a jalapeño cheese croissant and was surprised they had it available that early since they usually don't , The guy handed me the bag with the croissant inside and it was almost solid, they sold me an old croissant by the time I realized it I was too lazy to come back and I didn't want to come back when they clearly did me dirty. I felt if came back they would have disregarded my observation and claimed I was trying to score some free donuts or my money back. I won't be back , I hope everyone has good experience nonetheless but be weary of the lengths these people will to make a buck or two read more

Horrible! Do not go there! My hubby loves the other Scotty's Donuts, so we were on that side of town when we saw Scotty's Donuts. We had the whole family showing up to work in the gardens. Ordered a dozen donuts to take to everyone. The box looked like it had been beat the "f" up. They slice their donuts in half and put their filling in the middle. Then they put all of them in the box sideways. So all the lemon filling, apple filling, custard filling all slid off the donuts and all over the bottom of the box and all over the koi other donuts. I think they were old they way they all fell apart and crumbled apart on the 2 mile drive home. We called them when we got home and opened the box it looked like someone had puked donuts. The girl at the counter was sweet and polite, She thought replacing the order would be fair and said she had to ok it with her manager. The manager got on the phone , She was rude and indignant. Said that's how we always do our donuts and refused to fix it. My husband told her he would dispute the charge with his bank if she wouldn't replace the order. She basically said "f" off. So that is what he did. We will never go back to that store. The poor sweet girl at the counter has to work in that hostile environment.
