Sometimes you just get spoiled and take things for granted. I've been buying these donuts for years. 1st day of school, last day of school, birthdays, random days, etc. This is just the donut place down the street. Its good and its cheap. But then every now and again you get reminded that you really have something great in your backyard. I was responsible for bringing in donuts for my office down in Tulare and of course I went with what was just down the street from my house on the way to work. Man let me tell you, the amount of compliments I got and people trying to guess where they were from based of the box or the look of them. I got so many "is that the one place in Visalia that's famous?", that it was crazy. Like, no, I don't think its famous, its just down the street from me. It really makes me appreciate something I've relied on for years, but never fully appreciated. Thank you guys for your years of service and being a part of my family's memories. read more

Stopped by looking for a late late breakfast after staying at the Hampton Inn across the street. Ordered egg and cheese bagel and got a few doughnut too. The sandwiches were hot, fresh and really yummy. The doughnuts were fresh and not at all greasy. Next time I'm in the area I will stop by. read more

So donuts! Am I right? These are everything you want in a local donut shop. I've gone to their location on Linwood and Noble, alongside the freeway now for awhile. And this morning did not disappoint. OMG they are fresh flavorful and fun. Service is professional and friendly. Ya gotta try the fritlers and the crumb donuts! Well really all of'em are great. I believe they've been under new ownership for some time now and man what a difference. It's clean now, no I mean CLEAN y'all. The un donut.... I am a big fan of the eclair donut or some people just called them custard donuts I love them probably too much but this is the worst one in Visalia their custard has a good flavor but you get One bite of custard in the entire donut so that means about eight Or so other bites of that donut are just chocolate doughnut. And I really don't like having my donuts just put in a typical paper bag it seems like there should be a proper way to send donuts home than in probably dirty paper bag that when I got home was all greasy and oily from the donut residue it from the inside out it was yucky bad experience. read more

Great donuts and a very delicious Ham & Cheese croissant . I ordered the Tri-tip and it was good. It was basically meat and bread. It needs grilled onions or peppers. I'm glad I tried it tho. The donuts are bomb here as well. read more

I stopped by quite unexpectedly and surprised myself that I did so. I chose a couple of donuts and noticed a larger menu than usual of sandwiches, etc. The woman behind the counter was very sweet, helpful and happy. The last time I was there was way before Covid. I say that because the last time I WAS there, a different individual was behind the counter and her demeanor was grumpy as in my past encounters. I add that because that's the reason I was reluctant to ever stop again. Well, as I was going to purchase my wares, a gentleman sitting at a table spoke to the lady behind the counter in his native tongue. What he did, was tell her to give me free of charge, one of his apple fritters! I declined but he would not take no for an answer. He was genuinely kind! We spoke briefly then home I came. But........not without taking a couple of nibbles on the fritter before I reached destination. Dee-lish-ous! Crispy on the outside, creamy apples and small chunky apples on the inside. Went here for the fist time today after peak hours. Service was fast and friendly. I was delivering these donuts to my friends at work , so I didn't taste them but my coworkers seemed pleased enough. They have a smoker out front. They have ham and cheese croissants and wrapped hot dogs. Service was fast and friendly which I appreciated. Prices seemed reasonable. read more

Tried the Donuts over the weekend. We arrived about 7:00am. Large selection. For the most part nothing to write home about. Very mediocre. The worst part was the lady behind the counter. Donuts were fresh & delicious! I got a cherry donut for the first time ever & it was wonderful! Very moist & the cherries were fresh. Cinnamon rolls, glazed, & every other donut we ate was very good. My husband would have gotten a breakfast burrito but they were all sold out, even though it was so early in the morning. Guess they were that good! These donuts made my visit to seeing the sequoias start perfectly! P.S. I also got a wonderful vanilla cappuccino from there, too!! read more

Woman who I am pretty sure is the owner was quite rude. Every polite "please" or "thank you" was spoken by us. Not one by her :-/ My friend asked for a lid for the coffee he ordered and all she did was point to where they were behind him. Also, we came at about 10:30AM on a Sunday and while I know that is not early it is certainly not late by weekend standards. They hardly had any donuts at all!! I ended up getting more of a strawberry pastry than a donut anyway. Verdict: Go to Scotty's or another donut shop. read more

Terrible rude service!!! I've tried it a few times and thE lady behind the counter apparently goes out of her way to be rude and unhelpful. These donuts are okay. There wasn't a large selection when I arrived at almost 11:00 a.m. This seems to be the case for all donut shops in the region. Hailing from a big city, I am used to donuts shops making donuts all day long. I gave three stars because of the small selection. I came here by myself with my three small children. I was distracted and left my wallet. It took me about 30 minutes before I realized where I probably left my wallet. When I called the donut shop and asked them if they had my wallet, they said yes. When I showed up to pick it up, they verified I was the same person as my drivers license. I grabbed a wad of cash and asked where their tip jar was, but she said they don't have a tip jar. I tried to give her some cash and she said don't worry about it. I just left this place and I'm kind of in shock. It's the second time I've been there. Both times service was terrible, and options were slim by 10:30 in the morning. I ordered 2 of their chocolate bars shaped like feet, a cinnamon roll, and a tri tip sandwich, plus drinks. We sit down and my 5-year-old tells me her milk tastes bad. I taste it and it's spoiled. Nasty. I bring it back to the counter and ask her for another but that particular one is gone. She offers my daughter a chocolate milk instead. My daughter doesn't like chocolate milk. She then offers her an orange juice. She doesn't want that either. I can see that there are other milks in the case but they are pint size instead of the smaller size that I had ordered. So I say can I just have one of those other white milks instead? And she tells me, "But those ones are .65 cents more." To which I say, "you just sold me a spoiled milk and now you are going to haggle with me over .65 cents!?" And she repeats, "well yeah because that one costs more." So I told her to keep her money and I picked up my stuff and we ate in the car. I won't be going back. This business owner lost a customer over .65 cents. Unbelievable. read more

I went back the next day and found that they had the exact same donuts from the day before, only the rest of the good ones were gone. They hadn't even made new donuts! Well, I've always eaten these donuts but, only because I've always eaten them. I was a customer back when the original building was built where the freeway now is. They moved it North some 200 yards, and left the customer service and concern for the art of donut making behind. Over the years the girls that sell the donuts and run the shop during the day have become more and more rude, and distasteful to customers of particular ethnicities. They are certainly(at least one of them) worse than they have ever been. I had not purchased from "Donuts To Go" in a very long time, and recently thought that I would try it again. Bad decision, on my part. The donuts no longer look as if someone cares how they make them. I know people who swear by the coffee however, I tried it, and it's just ok. Farmer Bros. restaurant style coffee; it is what it is. When the donuts are less than average, it's hard to make up for that with horrible customer service and just plain bitchyness. read more
