They're known for their breakfast burritos, so that's the best thing to get here. I've tried the Famous Breakfast Burrito with Sausage ($10.88), and I've also had their Fish Burrito ($10.95). They served both with their red sauce, and I wasn't really a fan of it. I've heard that their green sauce is better, but they didn't give us a choice when they handed us our orders. We ordered at the windows, and then there's tables either on the inside or outside. Then you just wait for them to call your number, and they you would pick up your order at the counter on the inside. The breakfast burrito has hash browns, egg, cheese, and your choice of protein. It's definitely a dense burrito, but that means that you get a lot on the inside. Personally I preferred topping it off with some ketchup over the red sauce that they gave with it. The fish burrito wasn't the best; I wouldn't order it again. I'm sure they just took frozen fish sticks, fried them, and then stuck them into the burrito. There wasn't any sauce on the inside, it only came with the side of red sauce. There wasn't much flavor aside from the fish, since it only also had lettuce and tomatoes inside. The breakfast burrito is definitely the best thing they have, but I'd be open to trying some other items on the menu. I have been going here since I was small. Since I moved to Vegas 4yrs ago haven't been back and was craving a pastrami sandwich and there zucchini fries. Couldn't wait to take my wife and show her the same food I would rave about when I was down here. Let me just say it did not disappoint. Burrito is massive in size, and as someone with a sensitive stomach, I've been able to hold it down so the quality is better than most. I'll break down what I've tried and whether I'd other it again or recommend to others... *Chili Cheese Fries - No. Disappointing. Nothing terrible, but they are definitely not worth the calories. Good amount of cheese, chili is lacking in flavor, fries aren't anything special. *Grilled Cheese - Yes. It's nice and crispy and perfect size when you're not wanting to extend your stomach size with a massive burger or something. I suggest adding bacon to it, however, that is of course an extra charge and they pack the crap out of it, so avoid if trying to eat a smaller meal. *Fried Zucchini - Yes. I've had better, but the portion is enormous and they're pretty solid. 7/10. *Bacon Breakfast Burrito - Yes. 100%. Absolutely stacked with bacon, probably worth around 3 full sized pigs. Pretty tasty and the only thing that would make it better is some spice - like jalapeno pico de gallo or something but that is just my preference. Price is moderate - probably $15-20 per person, but I don't find it overpriced - the quality & quantity matches. Service is OK - cashier at the window is never rude or overly polite. Just takes your order. Seating is ample, indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is OK - they have their own parking structure with maybe 15 spots. I used to come here all the time when I was a kid and I remembered it being so good. I was in the area and wanted to see if it tasted as good as I remembered. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and side order of French fries. I wish that the French fries had some type of seasoning on them, but I did like that they served a lot. The original Lucky Boy definitely has been a staple here in Pasadena for a long time. I do love this place but I love the other location a whole lot more. The food is good here, mostly very comparable to the other location. I don't love their zucchini, the other location has way better and thicker zucchini. The breakfast burritos by far are best here. I ordered a double bacon avocado cheeseburger and it was bet good. It had lots and lots of bacon on it. The place is very small, but there is outside seating. The service is fast, but it's always crazy busy. Parking lot is small but can accommodate many cars. The parking lot is tiny for this location and there's often a lot of spillage from trader Joe's and other businesses, so be prepared to circle the area. Picked up my order after a short wait. Cleaned off my own table and sat down. Burger looked decent, fries looked amazing and can never say anything bad about a classic coke. First bite of the burger was a little disappointing. Burger was thin and seemed overcooked to me. I thought it was dry. Roll, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo were ok. Not bad overall but for some reason I expected a better burger experience. Let's talk about the fries. Truly classic French fried potatoes. Perfectly cooked. Light golden color. My friend was craving some chili cheese fries and I was looking around the neighborhood and stumbled on this local favorite. I'm so shocked it isn't busier than it should be! Everything is under 10 dollars and for the portions you get it's crazy. The chili cheese fries fed the both of us and we were full. I love the thin breading on the zucchini fries and the ranch is probably the best ranch I've had with the Zucchini fries. It's thick and salty. The patty meal was also only around 7 dollars such a steal for a double patty burger/sandwich. I even had left overs for lunch the next day. I would say the food is super greasy but it was so so good. I wouldn't be able to eat it daily but if you're looking for some good American food this is the place and I love that I'm supporting a local neighborhood business that's been opened since the 1980s in Pasadena. I used to come here weekly when I worked in old town. I was in Pasadena during the morning and remembered how good the breakfast burritos were back in the 90's. Drove into the parking lot around 8AM and it was empty....um it used to be packed . Parked and walked up to the ordering area and there were a couple of people waiting for their food. Ok - give me 2 breakfast burritos with bacon and sausage (there's an extra charge for 2 meats).- each burrito was $11.55 before tax. It took a couple of minutes to get them ready. When they call your number, you have to walk inside to get your order. The breakfast burritos were just as I remembered them to be. I have been craving Lucky Boy for a while now and I am so glad we finally made the trip out to get it. We used to come here many years ago and remembered that the breakfast burrito was very delicious. We ended up ordering the three meat burrito with avocado and chili cheese fries. The burrito was definitely a very large portion and could feed two people. It was filled with bacon, ham, and sausage along with a lot of avocado. Have you ever had an experience where you bite into a burrito and it was all tortilla and little meat? That is not the case here! Every bite into the burrito was filled with flavor and lots of meat and ingredients. Don't forget to use the red and green salsa that comes with the burrito. The avocado was a little overwhelming and I think we will skip the avocado next time. Regardless, I will definitely be getting the three meat burrito again in the future. The chili cheese fries were also very good. my wife enjoyed the cheese that was on top of the fries and again, the portion size was very big (in a good way). They also had peppers in the condiment section. I like to take a bite of the pepper before every bite of the burrito or the fries. They can be spicy, so try at your own risk! I usually get it with either bacon or sausage, sometimes I feel fancy and add avocado. It comes in a large portion, which i always share and that alone fills me up. It's super satisfying. The burrito is stuffed with fluffy scrambled eggs and potatoes. The protein is seasoned lightly but they do provide hot sauces or salsas. As well as hot yellow peppers, salt/pepper if you need it (located inside the store). The burrito doesn't feel overly greasy. Lines easily form but food comes out pretty quick. Parking lot is a bit tight but you might get lucky. They have a variety of food items, I really need to come back again to try more.
