Went in with my friends on Sunday. It was around 5 pm. A great location, very tasty food, no complaints. A little bit of a wait, but in a nice looking spot that basically teleports you to the good, old times it is not a problem at all. read more

Lucky Boy is located on Arroyo Pkwy right across Trader Joe's. Been hearing about their double patty melt so I decided to try it out. It was pretty good, though I wish I'd have tried a triple. The grilled onions on the toasted buttery rye bread gave it a very flavorful profile. Cheese on the patties were melted perfectly. Parking is plentiful in the back and lots of tables available inside and outside. Service was fast and the guys are nice and helpful. I'll be back to try a triple. read more

Worst cheeseburger I've ever had. The meat patty was sad. Full of lettuce. I got the avocado bacon cheeseburger and it was just not it. Clumps of avocado and a shit ton of bacon that I think they forgot it was supposed to be a cheeseburger. Threw the whole thing away. One star for the chocolate shake that fulfilled me or else it would be zero. read more

I've been coming to this humble stand-alone for years for one item: the breakfast burrito. The huge flour tortilla is stuffed evenly with all the breakfast goods: eggs, potatoes, cheese and bacon! The eggs are quasi-scrambled and fried to perfection and ingredients are evenly distributed across the tortilla, so you taste everything in each bite. But the best part is the salsa they serve on the side. It's spicy, tangy, chef's kiss good! You can order at the window or go inside. It's pretty small inside. There might be a little wait for your food and that's because they're cooking it up fresh. The wait is never terrible. The food is always good. Great spot for fast enough food. read more

One of the greatest bacon breakfast burritos around. This place stands ten toes down on these burritos! If you get here early your able to get in and get out. But if your here after 8 be prepared to wait, It gets packed fast. Order at outside windows only a lot of people stand around inside but they only take orders at outside windows. If your going to Pasadena try this Pasadena staple. read more

Lucky Boy - Sauce and a pile of bacon is what I love to see. - Burgers Near Me - Pasadena, California

The breakfast burrito is solid. I like how the potatoes were cooked to perfection it melts in your mouth with every bite. They load it up with bacon too. The salsa is delicious not too spicy just enough of kick. I thought there was going to be avocado on it from the pictures on yelp so if you want avocados order it. The breakfast burrito definitely needs it. What was a kill joy was they barely put any ice in my orange bang so it was warm and kind of made it undrinkable. They have interior seating and outdoor seating. I really appreciate how clean it was despite it being really busy. There's lots of free parking they have their own lot. read more

Ordered small fries and BLT. Fries were underwhelming and the bread used for BLT was of poor quality, so the whole sandwich fell apart and was quite messy . Will have 2nd thoughts before returning there. Disappointed! read more

Heard this was a good place for a breakfast burrito but was underwhelmed. You order outside through window and picked up inside. Good amount of seating inside and some tables outside. Quick service. Ordered the carne asada breakfast burrito. Came out very hot but burrito was very bland. The carne asada had no seasoning and tasted like just beef flavor. Tender and good portion but would like some spices on it. The potatoes were soft very few pieces that were crisp. Fluffy egg and melted cheese. The salsa did not have much flavor and was watery. Pastrami chili cheese fries were good. Chili was meaty and lots of melted cheese. Would have to try out other breakfast burrito places first before coming back here. Interested in the chorizo but it is only available before 10:30am. read more

This morning, I tried the breakfast burrito from Lucky Boy, and it is all that and a FAT SACK OF CHIPS!! The burrito itself was massive. The ratios were perfect. Not too much of any one thing. While the flavor of the ingredients was definitely there, I was a little disappointed in the lack of seasoning. A little salt and pepper at home made it pop. It came with a side of salsa, which complimented the burrito nicely. Salsa wasn't spicy, but that's what Cholula is for! Also got a side of hash browns, which were perfectly cooked but again, under seasoned (just my opinion). Service was super fast and friendly. Restaurant was clean. Will definitely be back!! Best breakfast burrito I've had so far. Really wanted to give five big stars, but the seasoning just wasn't there. Go to Lucky Boy, get the breakfast burrito and thank me later!! read more

Lucky Boy - The massive, delicious breakfast burrito from Lucky Boy. - Burgers Near Me - Pasadena, California

My favorite spot for a burger when I'm in the area. Always add zucchini sticks and an orange bang or cherry soda

Hands-down, the best bacon cheeseburger in town!! thank you lucky boy... can't wait to be back.

Stopped by this small Mexican spot for breakfast burritos and it hit the spot. I got the bacon and the sausage burrito -- both were huge, packed with lots of eggs and potatoes, which I love. The meat really brings the flavor and the red salsa is a great addition for a little spicy kick. The eggs and potatoes themselves could use a bit more salt, pepper, or seasoning -- they're pretty bland on their own -- but honestly, for the sheer size and the fact that the salsa and meat add so much, I don't mind adding a little extra salt and pepper myself. They make the burritos pretty fast and the staff were really friendly. The place is on the smaller side with booths inside and there's a small parking lot behind the building. Definitely planning to come back -- breakfast burritos all day is always a win for me, and I'd love to try some of their other menu items next time too. Great spot if you're craving a big, hearty breakfast any time of day! read more

I absolutely love breakfast burritos and I came across this video on Facebook highlighting what was claimed to be "Pasadena's Best Breakfast Burrito" for $11.00... I finally talked my sister to go with me and when we got there, the restaurant is small (so is their parking lot) with almost the same number of tables outside as there was inside... they were very busy around noon which seemed to be a positive and they do make breakfast burritos all day, which again, seemed to be a positive... We both ordered bacon and sausage burritos with extra crispy hash browns and two (2) medium Sprites... my sister wanted her burrito cut in half but I didn't and that's what we told them because they do ask when you're ordering... Here's where the problems started and why I gave them a low rating!!! Both burritos were cut in half and neither burrito had crispy hash browns!!! The hash browns were actually mushy!!! My sister was given a bacon and ham burrito and although they add a lot of bacon to their burritos and they chop it so it's mixed throughout the burritos, the sausages were left as whole links and placed together so when the burrito is rolled, all of the sausage is on one side and not mixed through!!! Each bite should be a mix of ingredients and not just bad sausage links!!! The scrambled eggs were over cooked and their salsa is extremely bland and if it's not going to have any spice, then just make it as a pico for more flavor and textural contrast!!! Lastly, the video on Facebook must've been very old because the two (2) burritos and two (2) drinks were more than $35.00!!! Just a complete waste of time, money and the gas it took to drive there!!! If this is "Pasadena's Best Breakfast Burrito" then that's just sad!!! These were clearly not great burritos!!! Looks like "Lucky Boy" has let their standards slip which is also sad because they were busy so customers should demand better quality food and by the way, Pasadena can keep them... we won't be going back!!! read more

Breakfast burritos are available all day and the portion size can easily be shared between 2-3ppl/burrito. I opted for a no meat, avocado substitution breakfast burrito. I didn't realize how much potatoes they put in the burrito..no wonder it's so filling! -1star for the sheer amount of potatoes. The flavor isn't anything worth raving about. -2 stars for the service. They weren't too busy on a Wednesday morning, but I felt the older gentleman that served me was dismissive and quick to assume--didn't let me finish my sentences and cut me off multiple times. He definitely made a lasting impression as I immediately checked Yelp to see if there were any other complains about the service. read more

OMG!!! I ordered a Double Bacon Cheeseburger and my face was in the burger while eating it! It was that huge and delicious

Lucky Boy is a classic Pasadena establishment. This is my go to for breakfast burritos, but everything else I've tried has been good as well. If you come here you better bring your appetite because the portions are huge. The burritos are the size of my forearm filled with eggs, potatoes and choice of meat( ham, chorizo, sausage, pastrami or bacon). The chili cheese fries are really good too. Flavorful chili with loads of melted cheese. Their prices have definitely gone up but the quantity to price ratio cannot be beat. There's plenty of parking and good amount of indoor/outdoor seating.. The service has been fine during every visit so far. Good food that is quick and convenient read more

I was re-introduced to Lucky Boy this year. I came here years ago for breakfast, but hadn't been back since. And wow what I was missing. The portions are huge. No picture can do it justice. A single order of fries is easily enough for a family of four. My go to order, the classic BLT, has a massive stack of bacon. Probably 6-8 slices on it. My kids wanted cheese fries and I ordered the cheese on the side, and they gave us like half a block of cheese. We air-fried the leftover fries at night with the cheese and it was amazing. Service is always great. The restaurant was under construction, so things were a bit chaotic last time I went. But they are always pleasant and fast. I would definitely check it out. So much to choose from for lunch, and the epic size breakfast burritos that will fill you up until dinner! read more

Everyone said Lucky Boy has the best breakfast burrito of all in LA. We ordered the breakfast burrito to see what the hype was about. The best part of the burrito was the tortilla. Grilled perfectly and so chewy. But, that was the highlight of the burrito. The inside was good, but the eggs aren't seasoned so it's a little bland. I do love how crispy the bacon is though. It's a good burrito, but it's not the best in LA. read more

This place is a good breakfast burrito spot but not great. Not sure if I buy the hype given its local legend status. Indoor seating is limited and they definitely aren't trading on ambiance. I think this is more of a "to go" play but you can certainly eat there. I got the works and added avocado but honestly would take the breakfast burrito at Farmer Boys over this place. Worth stopping if you're in the area but wouldn't go out of my way. read more

Being honest good was not fresh fresh. Flavors didn't hit the spot the location is at a good place good views. Service was fast and easy. But not worth the hype just because I felt like everything was made earlier and just not fresh hot and ready on the spot. NOT WORHT THE HYPE. a lot of people talk about this spot. read more

We decided to have breakfast burritos at the office one day. I suggested we order our burritos from Lucky boy here at the Arroyo Parkway location. It was so easy to order online the day before and schedule my pick up the following morning. I arrived and my burritos were ready to go. Everyone at the office enjoyed the bacon and egg burrito and also the sausage and egg burritos. These burritos are stuffed with , what seems to be like half a pound of meat. We shared one burrito between two people. I ordered eight burritos which fed at least 12 of us. The red salsa that comes with the burritos is really good and not at all hot as in spice level. The staff is really efficient and quick and the online scheduled order for pick up seems to be reliable. Lucky boy breakfast burritos is one of the best! read more

So happy I found this gem on yelp while in the area. The breakfast burritos were so delicious and so reasonably priced compared to other establishments. The restaurant was clean and they had a great playlist going on the outside patio. Highly recommend! read more

On a recent trip to SoCal I revisited some of the places I used to take my kids on the 60s and 70s for burgers, onion rings, etc. My sister was by my side during this visit and we shared an enormous and very delicious pastrami sandwich and the craveable onion rings. The taste has not changed despite the decades that have passed. No wonder you're still here! Thanks for allowing me to relive my memory and to have it be as I remembered! read more

Best breakfast burritos ever! Lucky Boy's Breakfast Burritos are huge and guaranteed to make you addicted! It had been a good number of years since I was here last and burgers sounded really good. We used to come here quite a bit, back in the day. There was a long line so it looked promising. Unfortunately, it wasn't the same and the family and I were disappointed. Fries were a bit stale, burgers were just meh, and the club sandwich was probably something I just shouldn't order. The bacon was overcooked and stale, will not be ordering again. I think we will wait a bit to come back. read more

I'm gonna say it.... The best burger in Pasadena! BACON AVOCADO CHEESE BURGER AND MAKE THAT A DOUBLE PLEASE, also 2 sides of ranch. Yeah you can get fries, I prefer a chili cheese dog w/ extra onions next to my burger. Like the perfect combo. Burger and dog what can go wrong??? This is honestly the best burger in town, so much going on between two buns. Juicy, chargrilled, fresh ingredients, and SUPER BOMB! Bacons so crispy! The ranch is one of the best! Oh! Can't forget the breakfast burrito. TOP TEIR, it's like 12 smackaroos for a burrito now, with your pick of bacon, sausage or ham! Wanna be bold get all three! It's heavier than a new born baby! Ha! And don't forget their salsa and chilis! That burrito can feed two people, then again there's me. One burrito please, with fries! Been coming here just over 20 years and nothing has changed. Service is decent, food is perfect. They got indoor/outdoor seating. Old school booths that give you that retro diner feel, and to top it off they got some cool decor and one of the dopest hats with their logo on it. Had to get me one. Really a treat! read more

Came for the highly touted breakfast burrito. I shared the sausage breakfast burrito with my partner and it was definitely enough for us (although we did eat a little bit beforehand). Burrito was honestly okay. It felt like a majority potatoes and I don't think I'm fond of whole sausage links just cut up and put inside. I guess I thought it'd be crumbled sausage. There wasn't a whole lot of flavor even with the salsa you get on the side. Maybe I needed to get the bacon and add avocado for it to be more interestig read more

Not sure why I haven't come here sooner, but better late than never! I got their bacon breakfast burrito and boy was she hefty! Like it's one of those things where you know that after consuming, you'll be good to go for the rest of the day. I ordered a side of pancakes obviously not thinking the burrito would be so big! But I guess I'll save those for the next day because there's no way! I like how they're generous with their salsa cup portion because if you're a saucy girl like me, you'll need quite a bit to get through the entire thing! They did forget to pack the chicken sandwich my sister ordered and we didn't realize it until we got home. However, they were very apologetic about their mistake and made it immediately upon her going back and getting it. read more

We have always enjoy the food but the afternoon young staff is extremely rude and dismissive. These guys are slow and even have time to lean on the counter and chat away. This being said while the place is packed with customers waiting on food. I counted three customers that asked for things and the staff just ignored and made it seem like they were being bothered with questions. Management needs to look and address the lack of customer service skills. No simple hello or thank you was ever heard at any point. read more

What I Ordered: -Breakfast Burrito w/Bacon $10.88 -Small Chili Cheese Fries $6.60 -Zucchini Fries $9 This place apparently has a Top 5 Breakfast burrito in LA. I gotta say that it's pretty spot on. I wouldn't say it's my #1 spot, but Top 5 for sure. The Zucchini Fries were okay. I would order them again. I would recommend skipping them. The portion size for the Zucchini Fries were great, but I rather get a smaller order. Unfortunately, I only saw one size for the order of the Zucchini Fries. I wish they had an option for a small. The Chili Cheese Fries were pretty good. The breakfast burrito was great. I wish It was more mixed together. When I bit into it, I only got the hash browns or the bacon or the eggs depending where I bit into the burrito. I only ate half and the wife ate the other half. She doesn't like this kind of food normally, but she liked the burrito. That's how I know it's good when my picky wife enjoys it. I definitely recommend the bacon breakfast burrito. I really want to try the chorizo next time. read more
