Art from Irina Anikouchine the owner of the restaurant.

One of the best restaurants Houston has to offer. The restaurant is ran by a husband and wife duo that are simply amazing. The food is always delicious and wonderful. You can bring your own wine as well. As a foodie I highly recommend. Also the wife is an amazing artist and her work is on display.

Lucio's offers a high-end yet fun dining experience. We were warmly greeted by the owner, who not only manages the front of the house but also contributes to the dessert menu. It's BYOB with a $10 corkage fee. The complimentary bread was outstandingly pesto-flavored and freshly made in-house. Our meal included beef carpaccio, crab cake, goat cheese salad, short rib, butternut squash, duck, and apple pie. The carpaccio sparked debate--too salty for my husband, not enough for me, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. The butternut squash was simply prepared and perfect for our baby. The short rib and duck were exceptionally cooked--textbook perfection, paired with creamy, subtly flavored risotto that balanced the boldness of the meats. The highlight was the apple pie, topped with mascarpone whipped cream, soft and perfectly sweet apple filling, and an amazing caramel sauce with a hint of acidity. If available, don't miss it!

Been holding out for this spot (idk why!!) and it was well worth the wait. Standouts were the steamed clams and chorizo, goat cheese Apple salad, and the no corkage fee on Wednesday nights. It's truly a "refined and relaxed" atmosphere. No silly fluff and I appreciate that. They have a great wine selection if you don't have time to swing by a store beforehand!

If you're looking for the best scallops in all of Houston then you've found the right place. Everything on the menu is spectacular, but this is always the first thing I order. The scallops are seared perfectly and served on a bed of creamy and fluffy Parmesan risotto. Pro tip; if you go with another couple, ask for an extra scallop that way everybody gets one. The scallop melts in your mouth. I could probably eat two entrees worth of these little golden beauties, but there's so many other delicious options on the menu. I like to pair with the crispy calamari. The seafood is fresh and bought from a Japanese store where they fly in their seafood and only sell to restaurants. I especially love the dipping sauce. It's tart and has a perfect little tang. For the entree you really can't go wrong with anything you choose, but my favorites would be the ribeye or the hanger steak. I love my steak mooing, so it comes out a perfect rare every time. They'll cook it however you like. I also failed to mention, this place is BYOB (bring your own booze) for a small cork fee. As if you didn't need more motivation to come. Lastly, the service is amazing. I read some reviews from almost a decade ago, so I want to say for the record our waitress is amazing. I won't mention her name, but she is passionate and super friendly. You'll find her artwork hanging on the walls. This place definitely has a cool hipster vibe. I highly recommend this place. If I could, I'd give it 10 stars!

Fresh made apple pie, and crème brûlée for the anniversary

25th wedding anniversary dinner was incredible! Found this gem online, and it was beyond expectations! Ambiance was fresh and romantic, gentle buzz of others enhanced the ambiance. Service was informed, owner and wife created a family feel the immediately wanted a second visit, and so knowledgeable of all items (definitely include the cheese board). We both had the "special" ribeye and halibut (fish of the day), and both were incredible. Dessert was apple pie baked 3 hours this morning. Porchini mushroom soup (from the movie "the rundown") is not to be skipped. Bring your own wine and tecorking fee excluded on Wednesdays makes for an exceptional anniversary date. We absolutely loved everything about our meal, service, and celebration (including a surprise celebratory dessert, candle included). All the stars, all the vibes, all the

This is a great place if you want a more intimate dinner with friends or a great date night too. The service was great from the valet to everyone on the inside of the restaurant. I believe our servers name was Irina, she was amazing! Truly related to each table. Offered us suggestions, had us laughing with her personable stories, and is such a nice surprise, she truly was a highlight of our dinner. As for the food, did not disappoint from what I've heard. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors were great. We had the calamari for appetizer and then I had the soup du jour and then the yellow fin tuna as an entree. My boyfriend had the lamb chops which were seasoned very well and were very good. I'd definitely recommend this place if you haven't been.

A hidden gem! Loved my night here spent with my husband and two other couples. Intimate, quiet & so classy. The server, ambiance & all of the food we ordered were fantastic. The beef carpaccio, fish special entree & the crème brûlée were my favorites of the night but not a single dish was bad. A lot of the menu is gluten free as well which is impressive considering how good everything was. The guys all loved the brownie & bread pudding! Loved the byob option! Can't wait to go back soon!

When my friend made the reservation, she received an email encouraging customers to visit the tasting room before or after dinner. We showed up an hour early to visit the tasting room, however the host had no idea what we were talking about. Turns out they weren't doing tastings. Luckily, we didn't have to wait to be seated. We initially had a table that was not near a heat lamp, however an employee came over and let us know that we could switch to a table near the heat lamp which was appreciated because it was chilly. Our server was Laura. She was nice and funny. They had $25 flight specials. I went with the Sayanara Flight which had white wines. I really enjoyed them and they weren't too sweet. My friend had an NA wine which she enjoyed. We ordered the Truffle Fries and Meatballs. Both dishes were tasty. I enjoyed the aioli that came with the fries. They had discounted wines for purchase. Not all bottles were 50% off, however the gentleman that we spoke to went ahead and gave me a 50% discount on both the rosé and pinot grigio that I purchased which was so appreciated! It seems like there are quite a few businesses around town that are closing. I'm sad to see Mutiny go, but I'm glad my friend and I got to dine in on their final night.

"Closing time, you don't have to go home But you can't stay…read morehere." - Semisonic I have lived in the loop for 5 years now, and I'm sad to say that I finally tried Mutiny on their last day. I often pass by it going through a shortcut to I-45 and sometimes going home around the area. It's literally a 5-minute drive. I booked reservations Friday since I saw they opened up the 31st on Resy. It wasn't earlier in the week, but I knew it was the last day, and my friend and I really wanted to try. I'm glad we made reservations because they were at capacity (150 person capacity) and weren't taking any walk ins. We got there early cause Resy suggested checking out the Tasting Room before or after the reservation time. We got there about an hour earlier, and the host said he didn't know anything about that except that the Tasting Room area was used for events. Interesting. We were seated earlier on the patio on this freezing evening. At first, we were at a table that didn't have a heat lamp, but when one freed up, they were so nice to suggest that we move closer to the heat lamp since they saw us shivering. Lol. We were thankful for that. I wore fleece lined jeans and brought gloves and a beanie anyway having been in the below freezing winter in London. Laura was our server and was kind and funny. So was this other guy who checked in every now and then. He made light of their last day situation. The dining area is so beautiful inside. I love the limestone-looking interior and chandeliers. Reminds me of Fredericksburg or something. They had many large groups and a few small groups of friends or couples dining on this last day. Way to go out with a bang. A lot of the wines were selling out or already sold out around 7-8 pm. We tried the truffle fries and Sicilian meatballs with focaccia bread. I like the thick cut of the fries and the black garlic aioli. It reminded me of yuca fries. The Sicilian meatballs were a bit small, peppery and salty. I wish the marinara was a little more tart. The focaccia helped cut through the saltiness. I had 2 glasses of the NA Sauvignon blanc which was light and a little tart. They ran out of the NA red blend. My friend ordered Sayonara, one of their farewell flights which were aptly named for "goodbye". It was a great night on the patio but chilly. My friend purchased a rosé and a Pinot Grigio as part of their Last Sail wines. Actually, the Pinot Grigio wasn't part of the sale, and he was going to take off 20%, but he also made it 50% off. So nice!! I'm glad we got to try them on their last day. Bon voyage, Mutiny.

The bread was very buttery and nicely toasted. The frank itself was very juicy and I loved how the pico and mustard help cut through the fat. The thing that made this hotdog stand out was the cheese sauce. The cheese sauce was delicious and I could probably have just eaten that alone. One thing though, the hotdogs were a bit on the smaller size, you probably would have to order something else or a second hotdog if you were hungry. Would come back again just for this hotdog! Parking/Service: There was a small lot on the side of the building, but other than that you might have to street park in the neighborhood right next to it. The ordering system was a bit of a surprise for me. You have to walk in to the bar and order there.

I liked that there was a NA option for that, and you can choose either red or white. We ordered a pitcher since we were sharing. It was delicious and refreshing. I think I had about 3 wine glasses of it. Our group shared the red fish à la plancha, patatas bravas, spinach frittata, olive oil pancakes and bacon-wrapped dates. Some of the dishes were bigger than others. Tapas is meant to be small plates, and they were, but it's a little overpriced. For example, the red fish was $15.50 for maybe 2 oz of fish. The stack of olive oil pancakes were small and thin for $8.50. If you're sharing, it's not that much food. I was going to order another personal stack of olive oil pancakes because that cinnamon butter was so good! I decided not to after I let all of what we ordered and drank settle for a bit after. The valdeon whipped blue cheese under the bacon-wrapped dates didn't taste very good and seemed grainy to me. It was my least favorite. The standouts for me were the olive oil pancakes, spinach frittata that was actually loaded with more veggies and bell peppers and the patatas bravas which was piled with potatoes topped with mayo that melted down and looked almost like melted cheese on top. It's a fun place for friends to gather or a cute date spot. You may or may not be hungry after depending what you order. There are larger plates/entrees like paella and branzino to share.
