Nice view! We sat inside although we should've sat outside. Server was nice, ordered Truffle fries, reasonable priced . Waygu tacos that comes with 2, you can add extra taco for $7. Churro spiced fries seemed maybe they sat under the warmer while waiting to be taking out but tasted good still, raspberry lemon drop was good, again $19 for a cocktail is a bit steep but again.. it's expected at a rooftop/hotel . Over all I thought it was nice! read more

My first visit to this restaurant back in March of 2024 was totally different experience. It was a 10/10!!! The waitress was wonderful. Now my visit tonight was a 2/10! Jayvon was not inviting, I was there to celebrate my Birthday. I flew in all the way from Chicago. Firstly, I believe he needs some additional training. He didn't ask why were we there. I put that on my reservations.Once we got our food he didn't come out until we were almost done eating. Secondly, I won't return to your establishment, your food options for individuals who don't eat meat is very limited. Thirdly, thank you for ruining my dinner experience! N.H read more

This place has the coziest and cutest atmosphere - I felt transported outside of Tempe. When you enter the hotel, immediately you can tell it's an elevated experience. When you make it to the top floor, there's an inside dining and vibey bar. The bartender was kind and thoughtful with us. Unfortunately I didn't have any of the food, but I'm definitely coming back for a date night. read more

The ambiance was great! We made our reservation for sunset and it did not disappoint. We sat on the patio by the fire pit ... it was perfect. We got a small plate to split and enjoyed some Old Fashions. We will be back! read more

This is my new go to spot that's always at the top of my list for rooftop bars in Tempe. I'm always recommending it to my friends as a fun place to stop or a great date night. I get a raspberry and lemon drop martini every time it is so yummy. I've sat outside on the patio and the view was just glorious. As well as the bar is very comfortable and has a super cool telescope. The whole place lights up at night with the lights and the view of the city. It is just gorgeous here. The truffle fries are amazing and I'm due back to enjoy an entire meal. Everyone is always more than accommodating and helpful. You are bound to have a great time here. read more

This place has so much potential, but they need a lot of work on creating a more extensive menu, food that is amazing (everything we ordered was meh and sub par), and service that is attentive. I think they were short-staffed the evening we went. Lucero missed a lot of key points. We will not be coming back...unless they get a new chef and a trainer for the staff (wait staff & bussers). read more

The views and the ambiance on the patio and live music inside were great! Cocktails are strong and have good presentation. I was a little disappointed in the food. The portions were small and the flavor wasn't amazing. The wagu sliders were dry, the chicken dumplings lacked flavor. The smoked tuna dip could use more chips, there wasn't enough chips for the amount of dip on the plate. Service was okay but not outstanding. Not sure if I'd recommend as a dinner spot since the food wasn't outstanding and valet is expensive. But definitely a good drinks and apps rooftop bar. read more

definitely a recommendation worth considering , fantastic staff , adored the many breathtaking views , the entrees were very delicious , servers were being very professional throughout the night , extremely impressed . read more

I don't do reviews without pictures but unfortunately in this case I have to. I was SO looking forward to trying Lucero after watching all of their media sneak peaks. They treated the media and influencers like kings. Free food and drinks that looked INSANELY good. It did it's job and it got us to go. We made a reservation, and last night my girlfriends and I went for the first time. We were seated by a hostess who seemed like we were a bother at a table set for two (we were a party of four and there were many larger tables still available) who promised to come back with extra table settings and water. About 15 minutes later our waitress came by to take our drink order. She didn't apologize for the wait or bring more water or table settings. Another 15 or so minutes went by before our drinks came (people were being served constantly around us but everyone getting served all seemed to know the staff). During this time the manager begrudgingly and kind of rudely gave us extra table settings and water (truly treated us like we were an inconvenience). We finally got to order and luckily the appetizer came out quickly). Unfortunately, after empty drinks and still no apologies for wait plus 45 minutes later... we had to cancel our food order because we had tickets for entertainment that cannot be changed. We spent almost an hour and a half here and we're treated like an inconvenience. When we had yo cancel our order the waitress got upset and visibly talked about us to another waitress (she kept pointing at us). The manager never came to apologize and in fact, joined in the obviously negative conversation with the waitress. I'm so disappointed as I was STOKED to try this restaurant. Omni is one of my favorite places and I talked up this location to my girlfriends only for us all to be severely disappointed. We left hungry and upset. I don't know that I would ever go back despite the fact that the drinks and truffle fries (the only thing we got to try) were great. read more

Atmosphere was great for a date night! Food was pleasantly plated as well. Would def go again!

Great service, food and drinks were great. Recommend you reserve a fire pit, did so for my wife's birthday and she loved it! 10/10 would come back. read more

Lucero is a fine edition to Tempe. The ambiance is great. As a rooftop bar it offers a great view of the Valley in the comfort of an air conditioned area during the summer. Right now, the weather is cool enough at night to enjoy the outdoor area they offer. The food still needs some work. I've been twice within the past 30 days. Once on Friday night and once on Saturday before an ASU game. The shrimp tacos are good; however, there are only two street size tacos that are not filling. The lamb plate was similar to calzones and was mediocre. The wagyu beef burger was a couple of sliders that were average. The beer and wine are good. However, my wine glass had water stains and should have been cleaned prior to using. The menu is limited as is the quality of the food. However, the view alone is worth the visit. read more

Wow the food was so delightful and delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves the Spanish flavor mix. This is in my top list for rooftop in town. It's a fun place to stop or a great date night. I've sat outside on the patio and the view was just glorious. As well as the bar is very comfortable and has a super cool telescope. The whole place lights up at night with the lights and the view of the city. It is just gorgeous here. The truffle fries and lam empanadas are amazing and I'm due back to enjoy an entire meal. Where do i start. We had reservations at 8:30 on a Friday night. For party of 4 we had family come in from out of town so we wanted a nice dinner. We arrived and got seated. We had our waiter come over and take drink orders. We ordered chips and avocado, they came out quickly. We then placed our food order, it took over an hour to come out. Some of the guests that got seated after us got their good and finished it before we got our entrees the entrees came out all random not all at once. I ordered the charred prime strip steak. It came out COLD. Not like warm actually. Cold. They waiter asked me if i wanted a new steak. Uummm yes. I asked how long it would take they said 10 minutes. Well 25 minutes later. They actually brought the dessert we ordered out before my steak. My husband asked the waiter how are you bringing out my wife's dessert before her entree??? My steak finally came out, after everyone else was done with there entrees and dessert. The manager came over and gave a half hearted apology. The whole experience was terrible. The good was over salty and no one enjoyed themselves if i could give negative stars i would read more

Lucero - Kale salad - New American Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

The view was sublime and the service was excellent. However, there is a $15 charge to valet the car that isn't waived with dinner. I've never had that before and didn't appreciate that. read more

Horrible service. $19 drinks and the drinks are NOT filled to the rim. Waste of time and $. I would give negative 5 if I could.

Very pretty venue. Staff are quite nice. I wish the hostess looked a bit more professional (loved her outfit, but it looked like her purposefully had a short sweater over a skinny tank top, way off her shoulder to expose more skin). Midway through our meal it was clear that it was fairly noisy and hard to hear each other speak. The bar chairs have essentially no back to rest against. And the bar counter is just slightly too low, enough that makes you have to slouch if you wanna rest your elbows or forearms on it. It's no comfortable. The bar also doesn't allow you to tuck your knees far enough under it before you hit the tiled wall of the bar, so you feel like you're slightly too far from your food or that you need to lean in. They do have purse hooks and even chargers between some of the seats though. We sat at the bar on a Thursday night. Moderately busy, but the bar was almost empty. We ordered the cucumber salad, the salmon X2, and the chicken and dumplings. For drinks, an iced tea, a bottled beee, and a raspberry lemon drop. When the server brought our two entrees, she didn't know which was for which of us. I've worked at a low key restaurant before that had an easy system for food runners to know exactly who gets what. So idk why a nicer (or any) restaurant would be asking us what food is for each of us. I think they ought to know. The cuke salad was actually mostly spaghetti squash. Attractive presentation. Took about 15-20min to get this first course. There was no real discernible dressing. So it was crumbed goat cheese, soft sun dried tomatoes, paper thin cuke slices, and spaghetti squash. It was extremely average. We ate it but I could've easily made a better version at home. No idea how this made the menu. My spaghetti squash that I grow is actually yellow. This was sorta pale, almost translucent. Not the best color. The salmon was great, through the portion was maybe 4-5oz. Wish it was 6 or so. Very good texture, crisped skin, quite large pearl couscous and large orbs tzatziki foam--very flavorful and lime-forward. Delish. Very pretty. The chicken and dumplings was homey, as one might expect. Good flavors, but unfortunately salty. The gnocchi were lovely. The peas and pea shoots also great. The carrots were very lightly cooked, and crunchy enough that they were out of place in this type of dish. This isn't a soup, btw. It has very little liquid at all. The biscuit crumbs and pieces did not elevate the dish. In fact, the biscuit pieces were crumbly like they were cooked two days ago (I make biscuits often, so I know) and biscuits don't belong in chicken and dumplings anyway. The chicken pieces were tender and had good flavor. Not more than just an ounce or two of meat though. The raspberry lemon drop was fine, though probably only a 4oz drink. The large martini glass made the drink look undersized. It was tasty, but in no way worth $19. It was garnished with a wedge of lemon, which looked surprisingly clunky and inelegant against a pretty pink martini drink. A wheel of lemon or a more delicate garnish would've made it look more worth the price (wheel of lemon dusted in freeze dried raspberry powder?). The iced tea was made to our order, as they don't keep an urn of it premade unless it's ordered I guess. It was very nice, and nice that they made it for us even though they'd likely not sell much later in the shift. They did offer that we could order a different drink instead of waiting, which was nice. read more

Located on the top floor of the new Omni hotel, the views did not disappoint. Went there for late night drinks and the staff were friendly, service was good. They had a good selection of wines , cocktails and spirits. Reservations are recommended given that it's a nice place especially at sunset. We didn't have food ordered but will try next time. read more

Food took hours & the menu is overpriced with few options, beautiful atmosphere though

I generally love trying out new rooftop bars in the valley and initially I loved the ambiance at Lucero's, but service tanked my experience. Around 9pm, about 5 other couples at the bar and drinks took 20+ minutes as well as chips. I could only imagine if this place was busy on a weekend. If you are going to charge 16$ per drink, I would hope great service comes with it right? Manager was just walking around, zero interaction with tables. Very disappointed with overall experience, beautiful restaurant in a 5 star hotel but would not recommend drinks/food here. In todays world, service and speed is what a customer is paying for, the ambiance is just an extra additive. read more
