Dr. Pathak is a warm, patient doctor who really cares. I called him on Sunday evening for my dad who was experiencing pain from the bandage lens because he slept on the side he wasn't supposed to. Highly recommend Dr. Pathak if you are considering LASIK. I went to a couple of different offices and decided that Dr. Pathak's office was a great fit for my needs: -My vision has been corrected for nearsightedness & astigmatism (it really does look different driving at night without the halos around headlights) -My eyes healed quickly and I was able to see across the room the day of surgery (but keep your eyes closed as much as possible!) -Dr. Pathak is very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions I had with detailedness & accuracy so make sure to ask him any questions to ease your mind -Office followed COVID 19 Protocols -Appreciated that there was hardly ever a wait and only briefly saw other patients because they schedule in a way to reduce office traffic -Dr. Pathak & Cyndi maximized my appointment time and streamlined the entire process so all I had to do was show up. Anything I needed was given to me the day of my appointments (medicated drops, goggles). -Price is very reasonable considering the personalized care you will get from Dr. Pathak and Cyndi -Although some of the bigger places claim to offer lifetime commitment, in reading the fine print I found that it really only applied to very specific situations and felt it was more of a marketing ploy rather than a true benefit to me. For this reason, I felt comfortable with Dr. Pathak's enhacement policy. -The procedure is completed off site and from checking-in to end of procedure took about 30 minutes. The actual LASIK only took about 2-3 minutes total. This office really is a gem. Interestingly, rather than feeling nervous I was very excited the day of my LASIK procedure because I really had confidence that Dr. Pathak and his team were competent at what they do. I was not disappointed and am experiencing clarity that I couldn't achieve with contact lens and glasses. read more

There are not enough words in the English language to describe how great this place is! Bianca is so sweet, and moves you through the entire check-in process effortlessly. I had no wait time, and she got me ready for Dr. Pathak's evaluation very quickly. Dr. Pathak's exam was very thorough. He listened very carefully to my symptoms, then checked everything to make sure he covered all the bases. He answered all of my questions, and I when I left, I was totally reassured that everything was fine and I didn't need any further treatment. Had lasik, did a lot of test to make sure Lasik would be successful on me, the doctor took time to explain in detail the procedure, the risks and answered my questions. The operation took place 1 month after my first consultation and lasted close to 2 minutes on a friday morning. I could see perfectly the day after. Absolutely no pb, I have a couple follow up appointments and my vision is really good. I had had my eyes checked three times before I saw Dr. Pathak. The first time was for my annual eye exam, but the other two were due to discomfort related to my terrible allergies. I was still having issues, so I went to Lucent Vision because I desperately needed a second opinion from another ophthalmologist. When I walked in, the first thought that came to mind was that the place was well-decorated. I got a good vibe from it. Anyway, Dr. Pathak was actually the first person I saw. I immediately felt at ease and the exam hadn't even begun yet. Leslie was very pleasant to deal with too. I'm so glad I went because the problems I'd been having since January (yes, that long!) finally went away. I felt that he really understood my allergy problems more than the prior doctors I saw. The prescribed treatment was effective. Also, I liked the use of technology. It made things very efficient. I highly recommend Lucent Vision. When the time comes I will likely go here for LASIK. FYI The office is located at PCH and Anaheim (near Greenbrier). There's street parking if you're lucky or park in the back of the building. The pictures on Yelp help a lot. read more

I don't know where to even start on how amazing the staff is. First of all being new to California I didn't know where to begin to look for an eye doctor for my lasik surgery. So I went on yelp and came across lucent vision and I'm so glad I did! The staff is nothing but nice and helpful. If you're back and forth debating on where to get your lasik, let me tell you, not a lot of places offer the one on one personal level comfort that Lucent vision offers. This office stands out from the rest because they're not focused on volume so the staff takes their time making sure you're comfortable before and after surgery. Dr. Pathak is amazing. He thoroughly goes over the lasik procedure and any questions that you have. I always go in with a ton of questions and he doesn't hesitate to answer them all and in depth! It makes me really happy and gives me a sense of security that my eyes are in very good hands. My grandmother had her Cataract Surgery at Lucent Vision and has nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Pathek. I have seen Dr. Pathak on a few occasions. Once at his previous location. He has since relocated to Lucent Vision. I needed the Dr to take a look at my eyes due to some irritation. I called his old office and turns out he has moved. Anyways, It is an odd thing to have someone prodding and poking around your eyes of all things but Dr. Pathak was great. He is very thorough and explains everything that he is doing which puts you at ease. Turned out I had very dry eyes which caused my irritation and was able to give me some artificial tears to help. I was good as new after a few days. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Pathak for all your eye care needs. I had a friend visiting from China who wanted Lasik. I contacted about 5 different laser centers and chose Lucent Vision because Dr. Pathak responded personally to my inquiries, both quickly and thoroughly explaining the process. It looked as if she would be a candidate for Lasik, but when we arrived for her appointment and Dr. Pathak did the final check, he said that she was on the border and that although Lasik would probably be okay, he felt PRK was a safer option. He was very patient in explaining the pros/cons, and gave her the option to come back a different day after thinking about it. Since she was here only for a limited time, he did everything he could to accommodate her schedule, even offering to stay late one evening. I recently visited Dr Pathak for an eye infection that seemed to be getting worse. When I called for the appointment he actually answered the phone and helped with scheduling my appointment. He greeted me when I arrived and Leslie helped me get checked in as I was a new patient. Dr Pathak examined my eyes changed my prescription and suggested an over the counter drop that he had me keep in the fridge so when I applied the drops they were cool for my irritated eyes very soothing immediate relief and immediate improvement with new prescription. I received a follow call from his office to make sure I was improving later in the week.
