The technicians have been helpful in taking photos and explaining things with my eye. The machines they use for the eye exams and photos are high quality. It has been a positive experience for me and I am thankful to have found a doctor that is professional and cares about patients. He was gentle when wiping the tears/fluid off of our daughter's face. Dr. Roh is the best! He was very professional and compassionate, and his calm demeanor and reassuring voice helped our daughter feel comfortable. Dr. Roh explained every step and procedure, which helped our daughter completely trust Dr. Roh and his treatment plan. We walked out with our daughter feeling better. I was referred to him as an emergency case by my general ophthalmologist due to my sudden visual lost/ retinal detachment. I've been going to several ophthalmologists for the past couple days but none of them was able to help:( He was the one doctor who was on call that weekend luckily(apparently Retina Vitreous Group is the most reputable and biggest retina group in LA county and there are 11 doctors total in their huge group!!) He returned my ophthalmologist's call immediately, took over my case and saw me right away in his downtown office. He did surgery and got my vision back! It is horrifying that so many eye surgeons were not able to figure out my issue until I was referred to him. When she moved, she was a patient at a different ophthalmologist office in Lakewood. South Coast Retina Center is superior from caring, kind and efficient staff on the phone and assistants taking care of tests and retinal photography. Mom is back in the South Bay and scheduled to see Dr. Nguyen in 6 months. Location is in an office building in the Rolling Hills Plaza near the movie theater. Disability parking only has a few spots in front but was managed to get a space. 5 stars!

After filling out the paperwork, A few techs did some vision tests. Than Steven (Dr. Taban assistant) did some more tests and explained the results of the tests. Dr Taban arrived and looked into my eyes with a instrument. He had Steven record what he found in my eyes. Dr Taban said that I had some holes on my retina that need to be lasered. I need to schedule sessions to do this. Than he was finished and left the room. His visit went quick, less than 10 minutes but he was thorough. Steven explained what needed to be done. I went to the front desk and scheduled my appointments. Hopefully my insurance would pay for some of this. The entire Staff were friendly and professional. I felt that everything went pretty quick and efficient. I hope that after my 2 repair sessions, that my eyes will be good.

She was very kind and supportive. Dr. Hans D. Hertzog performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes, 2 1/2 weeks apart. He is very attentive and explains every detail of the process clearly. The surgeries were quick, and my recovery time was great. After surgery, I experienced some inflammation in my right eye . I called the office and was told to come in right away -- no waiting for a callback. That level of care and responsiveness meant so much to me.
