I went to get an oil change here some time ago. I watched as this big guy with dark hair was working on my truck, when he was done he slammed my hood, it didn't close because he left a tool on the plastic cover of my motor. He lifted the hood and removed the tool. I saw this. When I got home I opened the hood to see the plastic cover over the motor was broken off and no one at lube n go, told me, nor offered to fix it. Great service, detail oriented and much lower price than jiffy lube and all other oil change services in Paso Robles. I would recommend this oil change service to anyone. Jiffy Lube had no one at their store during the entire time I was there. Lube n go has a constant stream of customers but short wait time. Jiffy lube would not let me drive vehicle in with my dogs, I would have to get out and have them drive it in and stay out of it during service. Manager was one that said this was their policy. I was not happy given I can drive in at most any other oil change service as long as I stay in card. They must think customers are idiots. Not the case at lube n go in Paso. I had a oil change done on my car this morning and Ben & Rick were very knowledgeable and helpful! They explained some issues that were going on with my car and turned out that where I took it before they did not put a gasket on my oil drain plug and I was losing oil Ben & Rick put a gasket on and made sure everything was tight and in working order! Had the oil changed yesterday for a trip leaving early this morning. Upon backing the car out, it's now leaking oil. We had to wait until they open to go back have them tighten whatever is now loose and clean up the oil all over the cross member. Update-Sun 10/2/22- I went back on Sunday morning when the shop opened. In the front of their building they have a sign with the prices of all general services posted on it. At the very bottom of it, in very small print there is a note indicating possible upcharges. MAKE SURE THAT YOU CLEARLY GET THE FINAL POSSIBLE PRICE BEFOREHAND. They do the usual up-selling which is annoying but I'm used to. But I've never heard of not including the oil filter in the general oil change? I mean how do you change the oil without changing the filter????? Too many hidden costs!! And they act indignant when asking, pointing out the small print at the bottom of their sign! You expect a service that is supposed to be something "quick" & convenient & pick from the list of prices listed on the sign. It's not rocket science. You expect a higher price, if you choose a different grade of oil not included in the price you listed, (IF they even mention it!) but If you stick with everything listed, not sure how it ends up being almost $20 over the price of the service you requested. Ridiculous! My daughter went to get her 2012 Hyundai's oil changed and it was a standard oil change, nothing extra. They charged her $99.00 plus taxes. I think that is a rip off and they have done this in the past to me as well. read more

SERVICE OVER AND ABOVE........my SUV was having problems with the battery so I drove it to my Lube N Go in Paso Robles, I've been using them for oil changes for the last several years. At the same time I told them to change the oil as well as check the battery. After several minutes the manager informed me that the oil was fine and was not scheduled to be changed for a couple thousand miles but did informed me that the battery was in need of changing.....he gave me an estimate, and I told him to proceed....after several minutes he informed me that the battery was still under warranty and the manufacturer would replace it FREE, ...WOW...I was dumbfounded when he told me he would take it out, drive it to where I bought it, get a new one, bring it back and install it at NO CHARGE ....NOW THATS SERVICE.... I've been going here for years and have always had a good experience, until now. Staff is super friendly and I'm usually in and out when I have my oil changed. A few months ago I had my oil changed normally as usual. A short time later my oil light came on, and I noticed puddles and puddles of oil underneath my car in my driveway. Took it to my mechanic because I assumed it had a leak. He had explained to me that they didn't screw something on all the way, which caused my oil to leak. I was told my engine could've been destroyed. Spent over $100 for an oil change just for it not to be changed correctly, which could've potentially destroyed my car. I came to get my oil changed this morning. The place was very unprofessional. The 3 employees were cussing at each other the entire time. Saying Fuck you, fucking bullshit, God damn him, way the fuck off. It was crazy to me how a business can put up with this type of behavior from employees. They were openly talking about prier customers and how they were annoying and saying fuck them. There was a total of 4 employees in the shop and not one was acting professional. A year ago I paid $186.00 which is already too high. The guys there did a great job and were kind enough to offer me a discount after I complained so in the end I paid $203.00. My wife came into your Paso Robles shop on Spring Street about a month ago. She was simply looking for an oil change. I can't believe the way she was treated. She came in to the shop on 8/4/19 for a simple routine oil change. She had in hand a coupon that we received in the mail from your company for a $29.99 oil change. TWICE she was told to present the coupon inside at the time of payment. So .. the oil change is done. She is told that the total is $89.04. She tells the cashier, "but I have a coupon for a $29.99 oil change", she is told "well we used synthetic oil so all we can do is give you $5.00 off with your coupon." She was NEVER TOLD that they were going to use synthetic oil. She presented the coupon to to TWO DIFFERENT employees who both told here to present the coupon later. Not ONCE was she told that her car was to receive synthetic oil. NOT ONCE was she told that her oil change might cost a bit more than $29.99. Talk about bait and switch!! They obviously figured, "this is a woman. We're going to take advantage of her". This is BS guys!! Is this the way you do business??? And they pride themselves on being "LOCAL"!?? AND .. you haven't even heard the worst part. At the time of this oil change, the staff told her "we checked all your fluids and everything is fine". Fast-forward three weeks. My wife, Joyce McPherson, drove to San Jose with our daughter, thinking all was OK because, after all, your shop told her that "all the fluids were fine." Well ... they weren't fine. Her car overheated on the way there, the coolant in her car had been leaking, according to the REAL mechanic who ended up replacing her water pump: this car had been leaking radiator coolant for "quite some time". My wife was stranded without a car for 2 days. Luckily the mechanic put in extra effort and worked even on the weekend to repair it. If your boys had done their job and caught it we could have had it repaired locally by our trusted shop. How did your boys not catch it? Are they so badly trained, or is it it just a complacency issue? You need to seriously re-evaluate your staff. After years of being loyal customers, we are not planning on returning to your shops, and telling anyone who will listen to go elsewhere. read more

You have a skid plate that takes us 30 seconds to remove, $5. Your car needs 5w20 like every other Ford for the last 10 years, yeah that's a premium oil, $5. The first person you see is always dirty and unprofessional looking. There aggressiveness is also a turn off. Sorry man I did your job in college for 2 years I know how it works. It said they had completed the vacuum interior and my car was still the same when I got it back. Then my 'change oil' signal was still on and if it wasn't for my dad, it would have still been there. I've been using Lube N Go for a number of years and have generally been satisfied with their service. They are not pushy like Jiffy Lube and up-selling is not their main focus. So when my 16 year old son needed an oil change I sent him there. I asked him in the evening how it went and he informed me it was fine, except they made him wait 40 minutes after the oil was changed in order to pay his bill! He kept trying but they had other priorities, including a new customer. My son is very polite, and still young, so it was no doubt pretty easy to ignore him. When I called and registered my complaint the following day it was pretty obvious they weren't that concerned. However, I cannot stand rude people. The upshot is I have no reason to return, and probably won't. read more
