Told me air filter needed to be replaced there was a nest in there, told him no, tried to sell me oil additive I told him no. The girl comes up for me to pay, then guides me out. she then gives me the receipt, I get home read the bill it says high mileage additive 22.00. Called and told them I will never go back. What a way to do business, It used to be cabin filters now its oil additive. read more

During a rode trip I had to stop for a quick oil change and I stopped in Salinas CA, there I made it to a Jiffy Lube where they left a bottom flap unscrewed and it continued to make noise until I was on the way back from Buellton CA, when I was on the rode driving around Atascadero CA a very generous man named Jaines Colona flagged me down on the freeway and convinced me to go to a body shop he worked at so he could put the screws back on the bottom flap of my car. Everyone was so helpful and they checked that all my cars necessary functions were operational and when I asked for how much it was Jaines said he didn't want to charge me. I brought my 2500 GMC to get an oil change. As I pulled into the bay I was told to stay in my truck because there were new owners and that was their policy. He said he wouldn't take more than 20 min. Very odd start! He asked me my mileage and I told him 225000. He said he needed the exact mileage, so I read to him 225,224. A few minutes later he gave me a sticker that read 300,000. I brought it to his attention and he made me a new one. They finally finished and I proceeded to go gas it up for the week. Something seemed strange, so I popped the hood and checked my power steering fluid as well as my coolant level. They were both extremely low. I checked my paper work to see if they addressed those issues. And it said they had. I drove my truck back and showed the manager. He said he would take care of it. Then he proceeded to tell me the gentleman that took care of me was new. Needless to say to say it could have created a more serious problem if gone unnoticed. I would definitely not recommend them! CUSTOMERS BEWARE: After utilizing this facility for years for our work truck and our family services our daughters car began leaking oil after being serviced here. We brought it back in and was told it was the oil pan. We took our car to the dealership and low and behold it was the oil filter that was not installed correctly. Lube n go refused any responsibility. They are incapable of providing quality services. Our son brought his car here and left with the oil light still on and dirty oil. As others have noted, be prepared for a bunch of upcharges resulting in a crazy expensive oil change. I brought my sedan in for a routine oil change, and was quoted ~$60. They ended up charging me $100 total due to various upcharges for synthetic oil. They weren't up-front about any of this. This is one of those places where you have to be careful with the upsells. I had literally changed my air filter 1 day earlier, TOLD them I changed my air filter, and they still tried to sell me an air filter. I haven't been back since. When I changed my oil myself the next time, they had gone to absolute town on the drain plug. better than too loose I guess, but come on. Are they using an impact to put the drain plug back on? It's not particularly cheap, nor fast. So I guess, if I had to get my oil changed, I wouldn't refuse to go there, but they won't be earning any gold stars from the teacher. read more

My wife took her car in and got the oil changed. The next day there was oil all over the driveway. She called and Bud, who I think is the manager, came and worked on her car from 4ish until 8pm trying to figure out what was up. Turns out it was not their fault. The dipstick holder became unseated and caused oil to leak. It was only when they pulled the dipstick that it became unseated. I came home ready to rain hellfire on these guys but it wasn't their fault. He refilled the oil, fixed the dipstick holder, gave us some extra oil, sprayed degreaser on the driveway and offered to come back Saturday and pressure wash the driveway. Hell of a good guy. I was so happy with these guys! They went above and beyond the call of duty. My car had rodents climbing up into the engine at night time and when I went to get the oil changed the engine compartment was disaster. They made it looks great when they were done at no extra charge. I have used this Lube N Go over the years whenever I need a quick oil change on the weekend and it was always hit or miss on service. But I struck the A-team yesterday when I came back a couple days after an oil change because there was a coolant leak. They quickly found the problem (that was not related to the oil change) got me a quick and competitive quote to replace my radiator and had it done in a couple hours. I have always had great experience with this Lube N Go. The staff treats me like family and has all my records up to date. Since I service 4 vehicles, it's easy to know where to go for honest service. They not only do all fluid changes (much less than the dealers on my newer vehicles) but also smog and brakes. They also have great coffee and a lounge which is quite comfortable, with a big TV, video game and massage chair. There's a Von's grocery store nearby for doing a quick run to the store if needed while having the oil changed. Best reason why I switched to this company from the name brand one down the street is: They are not pushy salesmen.
