This was our first time here and it is quite nice. It is a converted home with an eclectic vibe and soft music playing overhead. The owners are wonderful people who will offer recommendations if needed. We also had the opportunity to witness interactions between the owners and a regular, which was really cool. It's nice to see good people running a business with good food and drink. We had the everything bagel with hummus was toasted perfectly. We also ordered the banana strawberry crepe which totally exceeded our expectations. It was large and full, not overly sweet, with a dollop of ice cream on top. Both the iced vanilla latte and the hot mocha we ordered half-sweet (since everything in this state is over sweetened). They both were well-balanced and exactly as ordered. The only drawback was the ordering system is all touch-screen interface. This was easy to navigate, but we feel like it takes away from the quaint local coffee shop experience people look for when they come to a place like this. I will hand it to the barista who came out to clarify one of our orders since it was not clear on the screen. read more

If you're going east on Commonwealth, look for La Aguila Market and make a left into the alley and there are a few parking spots there. Use La Aguila as your landmark because it's literally an old Kraftsman style house and it blends in with the neighborhood. I've driven by LuLu and I'd see the banner that said there was a coffee shop and paid no mind to it because I thought someone was serving coffee out of their house and wasn't interested. Downtown Fullerton has SO MANY coffee shops to choose from and I already had a few staples that I'd go to. I finally visited and it's a vibe. I could not recommend this place more if you need to regroup or recharge and slow down. There is another coffee place, very similar concept, literally up the street on Commonwealth, but something about the smaller space here, with the decor, the plants and the outside seating, makes it feel like I'm at a house in the south or something. I haven't worked from here, but I know they hold the space for co-working or it's a great place to have silent sustained reading with friends or by yourself. This past weekend I wanted a bagel sandwich and coffee to start my day and considered going to Panera but after a quick search on Yelp, LuLu Coffee Bar appeared. I ordered via their website a Lox sandwich and decided to try the Korean coffee and got a phone call five minutes later. I believe it was LuLu herself? She said I forgot to choose my bagel type and called to ask me which one I'd like and offered my options over the phone. I went with the everything bagel and stopped by 10 minutes later to pick-up. I'd never been there before and she knew who I was and what I ordered and left it out for me to pick-up on the table. I've never had Korean coffee before and the description said it was similar to VIetnamese coffee, but Korean is much better in my opinion. It's the right amount of sweetness, not as bitter and easier on my stomach. I'm actually hooked on it now. With the bagel sandwich, they don't skimp on anything and use fresh red onion and a great amount of cream cheese. I ate the Lox bagel sandwich before a long drive to Riverside and was full and not really hungry the rest of the day. I tried the pepperoni bagel sandwich yesterday for a late lunch and it filled me up for the entire evening. SUSTENANCE! The owners are super polite and I can tell they care about presentation and taste and the space is always very clean. I don't want to share this place with people because it will get popular and be crowded, but it's worth your mental health to visit here, especially if you need to get away from the norm, enjoy great coffee and have a hearty snack served with love. read more

Such a Gem! My husband, my sister in laws, and I checked out Lulu Coffee Shop randomly on a Thursday, and I'm so glad we did! The moment you walk in, the place is super cute. lots of cozy areas to sit, relax, and chill with friends. The whole vibe is very calm and peaceful. Our drinks were made from scratch, and I could actually see the gentleman behind the counter taking his time with each one to make it perfect. And they were perfect! I brought my two doggies with me, and the owners/employees were incredibly kind and welcoming to all of us. They even gave my dogs water and treats! One of my pups had a little accident, and I was honestly so embarrassed, but they were so sweet about it and made me feel completely at ease, assuring me it was okay. The customer service here is AMAZING, and the DRINKS ARE WONDERFUL. I'll definitely be coming back every week and I hope you all check it out too read more

Decided to come and try a new coffee place today and I had this one bookmarked so we came to check it out. You can easily miss this place as it nestled in between houses . It's a cute craftsman house, the entrance is on the side of the house .There is a few parking spots on the side of the house or else you have to park in the neighboring streets. You walk in ana see some cute seating areas and lots of cool art work and some ceramic works. You have to order using a tablet ,it's pretty easy to use.Since it was our first time here the gentleman making the drinks came out and explained it to us.I ordered a hot Spanish latte and an everything bagel with artichoke cream cheese and my daughter ordered a iced matcha latte. Both drinks were very good . I also enjoyed my bagel. The place was very cute and it has some seating outside on the front of the house .It also has a lot of plants and trees . Definitely worth checking it out . read more

Found a new favorite hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the business felt so cozy and comforting. My boyfriend and I found this spot through Yelp, and we were greeted by a gentleman who was so incredibly kind and welcoming. When we asked about the menu, specifically the drinks, he explained the ingredients with a level of passion and genuineness that proved he's clearly a master of his craft. The Order: - Madagascar Vanilla (for him) He loved it, and said it was the perfect amount of sweetness. - Spiced Chai Latte (for me) Out of all the ones I've tried(this type), this is my favorite. It feels like fall, gives off the vibe of it! *Got A little bit of a kick(hence the spiced! Which I really enjoy) The reviews were right, this is a must-visit! He even brought us adorable cookies to pair with our drinks. I honestly understand the urge to keep a spot like this "on the low," aka gatekeep but they are so amazing they deserve all the love. It didn't feel like a business transaction, it felt like being hosted at a friend's house! read more

What a perfect little hidden Gem. The staff was helpful, even though the ordering system is self serve. Service was incredibly fast and the food and coffee are exceptional. The space itself is an older historic home that's been renovated into this cute coffee shop. The patio is so sweet and welcoming with plenty of seats. I got the Korean Coffee and the Everything bagel with Lox and cream cheese. Korean coffee is similar to Vietnamese coffee, I asked for mine half sweet and it was perfect. The bagel had a very generous amount of lox and cream cheese on it. It came with capers and crisp red onion rings. 10/10 will be here again. read more

So glad we found the little hidden gem. Not a lot of lot parking but plenty of street parking in the neighborhood behind. An absolutely beautiful home converted into a coffee shop. Such a pretty courtyard in the front and back with plenty of seating and quiet making for a nice work space. Menu was pretty simple but did offer some interesting specialties. I opted for a simple vanilla latte and my husband a matcha latte. While it took about 10-15 minutes for them to be ready, absolutely worth the wait. My latte was delicious, not too sweet and very strong (we love strong lol), and my husband said his matcha latte was also wonderful. The owners were very sweet. Will definitely be back! read more

I finally got the chance to check this place out after knowing it's been open for over a year. It definitely has a cozy home like vibe to it. Almost like you're visiting your friend's or your older relative's place for a morning coffee. I came here on a Sunday morning and it was such a comforting vibe. I got their hojicha latte with a shot of espresso and the jalapeno artichoke bagel. Ordering is done at the kiosk in the front and then they bring out your food and drinks to your table. Seating is kind of limited on the inside, but there's plenty of space it seems like! There also seems to be some seating outside too. We grabbed our drinks and decided to sit on their front porch. The workers there were the sweetest people ever. Parking can get a little tricky. They have some designated spots on the side, or you could opt for street parking. I frequented Veronese Gallery Cafe, now replaced with The Classic Cafe long ago and I always enjoyed the vibe. After finding out that the old owners of Veronese opened up Lu Lu Coffee Bar, I was excited to try them out! Sure, it's not a huge space like Veronese was but this place is just as cozy and more compact. The tables inside have the same old notes as the old place, which is a nice genuine touch to add to the nice ambiance. I was greeted right away and was prompted to use the touch screen kiosk to place my order! Here's what I ordered: **Madagascar Latte (Iced): I got this half sweet with oat milk. I was informed that their house vanilla syrup is 25% less sweet than your average but I went with the half sweet for my first time anyways. It was the perfect amount of sweetness for me. The drink overall was very refreshing and delicious so keep that in mind! (5/5) **Croffle: I went with their OG, best selling buttered croffle and it was amazing! Very crispy and flavorful. The only thing I would've done different was to just order the 4-pack! So delicious! (5/5) I 100% recommend this new, revamped spot! Welcome to Fullerton, Lu Lu Coffee Bar! read more

I was in the area for work today. I quickly searched "coffee near me" on Google Maps. Lulu's came up with great Google reviews and decided this was my pick. The place appears to be a converted house, very unique set up. Felt very "homey" and comfortable. I ordered a drink out of their popular menu. The two employees behind the counter were lovely. They may have been the owners. I felt very welcomed and like my business mattered! I couldn't have chosen a better coffee shop! Thank you Lulu's coffee shop! read more

My friends and I came here for coffee and bagels. On Yelp, the place looked so cute like someone's cozy little house. Ordering was a breeze on the kiosk, and the staff were super sweet. Coffee and bagels were both great, and service was fast and easy. The only downside was the parking. There are only three spots on the side of the building, and my friend had to park on the street... which earned her a parking ticket. There were hardly any signs, so that "coffee run" turned into a very expensive latte. Oh well! Lesson learned! Hopefully next time we'll find a spot without the surprise fee. read more

Very private and intimate little coffee shop. I was told that these are the old owners of Veronese in Fullerton ( now Classic cafe). I am really on the fence, I can't back with my wife and we both had the Korean coffee. Wife said it was decent but not crave worthy, and I have to agree. I really think they need to come up with some more variety of drinks and some creativity. The ordering is interesting through a touchscreen which is ok but really kind of cold and non personal... Very inconspicuous but the coffee/ bagels/ croffles/plant based energy drinks were all an A ++++++. The owners a very attentive and super friendly. I wasn't sure what to order and they had the best recommendations for us. I wish I'd taken pics, but trust me everything was perfect.
