The other project was a leaning redwood fence and decay along portions of the fence because when it was put in the they didn't put treated wood along the bottom where it met the soil. I would have given ZERO stars. Don't trust their overall YELP rating. I made that mistake. I feel…read morethe finished work (driveway, pathways, and wall) are reasonably acceptable. This is ONLY because we checked daily work and instructed them to fix mistakes and sloppy work. They spent a lot of their time redoing what should have been completed right the first time. Daily progress (or lack there of) showed us that the owner/project manager (Tevita/Mata) is not a good project manager nor that he gave his crew clear direction on this project. The process after contract signing was horrible...not at all professional. The project took much longer than Tevita initially quoted (over 2 months vs the 2 weeks he originally told us). This resulted in change orders and cost overruns. He also tried to charge me to fix their breakage/mistakes/errors (e.g., fixing the sidewalk his workers broke). His crew was not respectful of our property (we had to live with their mess...it's not a vacant lot). They did not regularly clean up the work site nor organize equipment and materials left onsite. Seeing their lunch garbage (cans, bottles, wrappers, etc.) at the end of their workday was common. This continued even after repeated complaints to Tevita and to his crew. No one on site could to provide straight answers as to that day's work or when specific project goals would be completed. Whenever I would spoke with him, Tevita made excuses, provided misinformation, denied deliverables he previously promised, and deflected from answering direct questions. He has a habit of talking over the customer when asked questions he doesn't like. On at least one occasion, he raised his voice and started yelling to avoid answering questions. If it was not in writing, he'd say it wasn't what we discussed. I have never had such issues when working with professional/reputable companies. Tevita and his crew failed to meet every single deliverable date he set. I found him very difficult to work with. I feel that he does not show proper respect to the customer. Instead he appears to think that the customer, the person paying him, should accept subpar work. I suspect that he may also not fully understand the processes involved with the work being performed. I feel that Tevita and Lamata Concrete are not professional. They didn't use professional equipment and they didn't manage the job site or their onsite work time professionally. Their workers typically started late morning and were gone by early afternoon. Lamata Concrete has major logistical problems. They couldn't get an adequately-sized crew or required materials to the job site at the start of any given day, typically interrupting workflow for hours to go fetch supplies. Had they staged materials and tools at the worksite (where there was ample area to store all materials needed for the entire project) and had his crew worked a full 8 hours per day at the job site, I believe they could have finished weeks ago. They are SLOW...3 weeks for a stamped concrete driveway and pathways. I definitely CANNOT recommend them for a cinder block wall. It took way too long (over 2 months) to complete. I feel like they have never built this type of wall. I regret hiring Lamata Concrete. I CANNOT recommend Lamata Concrete nor would I use them again. They were such a hassle to work with compared to the many other professional/reputable companies I have hired. My opinion...take their negative YELP reviews seriously and ask for references and talk to those references. Tevita's response is a great example of how he makes excuses, provides misinformation, denies promised deliverables, and deflects from addressing the real issue. I find it a bit childish and very unprofessional.

It ended up being a decent size job, with a fair amount of digging for the drains and demo of the old stairs, took a couple weeks to complete the job. Nate was a pleasure to work with, responsive, had great ideas about how to tackle the job, and his pricing was totally fair. Most importantly, as you can see from the pictures, they did excellent work. Finally, they stood behind their work, a few cracks showed up maybe 6 months after the job (100% not their fault, we deal with a driveway that shifts a ton from the weight of a steep slope we are on) and they repaired the cracks no questions asked and free of charge. I know he does jobs much larger than this but he never made our job feel insignificant or unimportant, and followed through like a true pro. I'd use him or recommend him again, no question.

We hired Precision Finish Remodeling to redo both our backyard patio and front entrance, and…read moreoverall it was a really good experience! The first project - the backyard patio was done with tile, and the results turned out great. The space feels much more polished and functional now, and you can tell the work was thought through. They handled the grading really well. There is a slight slope that you don't notice when walking, but it allows water to drain off efficiently without any pooling. The tile work itself is clean, with consistent spacing and neat edges. They also installed the railing properly, and it feels sturdy and well aligned, giving a great a finished look to the area. Overall, it just feels like a well-executed upgrade that will hold up over time. The second project - for the front entrance, they installed pavers and took their time working through the details. There were existing irrigation lines in that area, and instead of rushing through it, they carefully located and capped the sprinklers so everything remained intact and neat. We also had some drainage issues before the remodel, and they addressed that by installing two drains, which has already made a noticeable difference. We wanted to keep our Magnolia tree untouched, and they were mindful of that while prepping and laying the pavers. They also worked with us on adding turf along the edges, and the final result looks natural and well integrated with the rest of the space. Pedro Leme, the project manager, was easy to communicate with and responsive when we had questions or small changes. One thing that stood out was how carefully materials were managed. Everything was used thoughtfully with very little waste. We did end up with some extra materials, and Pedro even helped return them to the store as a favor, which we really appreciated. Windson and the crew were professional, showed up on time, and kept the work area reasonably clean throughout the project. Windson in particular was very friendly, accommodating, and clearly pays attention to the small details, which made a difference in how smoothly everything came together. There were a couple of minor adjustments along the way (as with most projects), but they were addressed without much hassle. Pricing felt fair for the scope of work, especially considering the level of detail they paid attention to. Overall, we're really happy with how everything turned out! We would definitely consider using them again for other projects.

All I said was I received a quote for $14/sqft from a person that actually saw the job site. He goes to berate and be condescending to others because their price is low so he assumes it's not possible to offer quality, when he has no idea about the other company. He's greedy because he thinks he's the only paver guy in the game. Hah! His tactic takes advantage of unaware home owners but if you're informed and have already gotten 3 quotes with a wide range and know exactly what I'm wanting, I and others must not know and what we're doing, only he does. If anyone is interested, message me and I'll give you the breakdown of how I was able to get $14 and the exact contract structure with Belgrade pavers + speciality large format Belgrade stones. For him to just quote $18/sqft, never seeing the condition that may require so much less work, and be defensive about my response just goes to show you the attitude you'll receive if you work with him. Response: It may not make sense to you but it makes sense to me to leave a response because of your condescending comment and feedback. Many people start off at $18 and then somehow dropped to $11 after looking at the project. Hhhmmm A professional response could have been: "That's lower than I can do. Thank you for reaching out though." It's the condescension that I'd like to warn readers about.
