Nice outdoor patio area- that's the 2 stars. Service was slow (they weren't that busy) and not overly friendly. We had to ask for everything- water refills, etc. Food was ok, margarita was not good. read more

Expensive , poor service, no flavor. Guacamole was chunks of avocado with lime juices. Chips were greasy. Tacos were small and the kids meals were expensive for what they actually got. We had high hopes but were disappointed read more

I soo wanted to give this place a good review, but after trying it not one, but two times - I left totally disappointed. Their guacamole is seriously lacking flavor - it's not fresh and has a brown tinge to it like it's been sitting in the fridge for hours on end. The queso is super runny and lacks flavor/texture. Salsa (pico) had a good consistency but it tasted SWEET?! In fact, just about everything we tried tasted sweet. Thinking they must use a sweet marinade for their meats. This time I ordered two tacos (the shredded beef and ground beef) and it's clear that presentation is *not* key at this place, they throw them both haphazardly into a plastic basket and voila. Oh, and you have to pay extra for chips. Service was okay but I had to ask twice for water refills. Both experiences here were completely underwhelming. read more

good taco selection, good flavored tacos, decent outdoor seating. decent selection for drinks. chill vibe.

Went here with an out of state customer for a work dinner and drinks. I got the Johnny hopkins, the only thing I wasn't feeling was the slaw. Other than that everything tasted good. I definitely will be back to try some more tacos. read more

Pretty good but not outstanding - however, I will be back. The taco's, I had brisket, fell apart. I find this annoying. The taste and texture of the meat was spot on. The bartender was not super familiar with the beer selection, but...... we got to a good one eventually. Price was OK. It is so darn busy in the area, it was nice to find a local and friendly place. read more

Bad start from the beginning. This place is extremely noisy. We barely spoke two words to each other it was that loud . I ordered a mojito because I just absolutely love them. Unfortunately, it was the worst mojito I ever had. I even told the server. No way was I drinking it. There weren't even any mint leaves in. Sever said they strain the mint leaves. Why? That's what a mojito is !! Told her I didn't want another one but apparently the bartender didn't hear her and she brought me another one with the mint leaves. This one didn't taste anything like the first one. Instead it tasted like a cup of lime juice....ugh! We tried four different tacos. Can't even remember which ones now. But we both got the soft flour tacos. They were sitting in a puddle of liquid. Disgusting. By the time I got to the second taco, the shell was sticking to my hand like raw dough. The contents of shells were ok. Nothing great. Decor is nice. Won't be going back. read more

See all

I came here on a date and must say that the selection was fairly limited. I wanted to keep eating because the tacos were less than filling. I know I shouldn't expect miracles but for a place that is famous for its surname, I thought the tacos would be out of this world. I can assure you the tacos are mediocre at best. If you are going on a date and not trying to eat a lot, then this would be a good fit. I think if you want to drink while eating this could be appealing too. read more

We were excited to try this new taco joint in Robinson with some friends. We used the app to get a table ahead. The atmosphere is really cool and fun with all of the unique murals on the wall-that's my favorite part of the restaurant! They have a really good happy hour until 6:30 and a great selection of drinks on their drink menu. They have a nice outdoor area too. It was also nice that the drink menu listed prices of everything which most drink menus do not. Our waitress was pretty slow with all of our orders and we had to tell her when we were ready to order. Since it is a newly opened restaurant, we figured we would let it go. A lot of our drinks were forgotten as well. We ordered the queso as an app and I'm sorry to say, but it's the most watered down queso I have ever had. Needs to be thicker. I was disappointed. We ordered tacos and all enjoyed the tacos we ordered. I would probably only come back for happy hour with friends in the future. I think they still need to work out a few kinks which is understandable since they just opened. read more

Lowkey Taco - Tacos Near Me - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

DELICIOUS! We got the street corn app and it was simply amazing, so much flavor! I also got the Mixed Berry Marg and Cluck Norris Tacos... I can't wait to come back! read more

Big disappointment !!!! Tacos are like mini tacos ,. I would only return on a Taco Tuesday when they offer $2.00 beef & chicken tacos . Cool spot for a drink ,, My guess is this place won't last 9 months read more

Not my first time here but this time I was greeted by Josh the GM! What a great guy, he gave a sample of mead when I asked what their house wine was and If it was part of their HH special. He was pleasant to talk to and I ordered my first drink and it was quick. If this is the level of service I'd get I am coming here more often!!!! read more

It's a good thing that Grist House has a few beers on tap in this place. The service was very good and the wait staff very nice. However, the tacos were subpar at best. The music was club-ish. I'd assume the Justin Bieber channel. Get live music and a top chef and the place will be packed. read more

This place was very interesting. It was a decent size with. Decent menu. The service was a little slow and parking lot was packed but still not bad. read more

Sorry, but NO!! The wife and I decided to try this place out. Ordered a pitcher of regular margaritas which were pretty good. Then we ordered a trilogy of chips and dips. This is where things went south quick. The mild was good, the salsa verde was way to salty, and the queso was horrible. That's 2 out three thing that were not up to par. We decided to cut our losses and go elsewhere. Never even bothered to order tacos. read more

10/10 great food, great margs, and great atmosphere! Music is always on point as well!!

The atmosphere is neet but not worth the price for the food 4 dollars for a single taco that is more filler than meat. For lunch u pick 2 tacos and comes with rice and beans, but u get a 3oz plastic souffle cup with half beans and half rice not worth it to me. Rather go to Azteca. The guac was bland looked like just avocado and tomato no lime, salt, or cilantro read more

Went in yesterday after work for dinner. Patrick was our server and he was phenomenal! They were very busy but Patrick paid so much attention to our table .., the drinks were perfect and the food was so yummy! They were following all social distancing and the outside seating was so nice!! Patrick was amazing, the tacos are delicious and the margaritas are perfect read more

The house margarita was so bad and the service so sloooowwww that we left without trying the food. Save your money. read more

First off as soon as you walk in the decor is so cool. This place is definitely for those who enjoy tacos with a twist. I visited this new restaurant the first week it opened. I ordered the Johnny Hopkins taco and a sword fight taco. Both were very tasty. The Hopkins is made with brisket that is very flavorful. The Swordfight is made with swordfish also vary good. The tortilla chips are served crispy and warm...love that. We had three different dips with our chips. The Guaq, Pico and Queso. All were very good. I found myself craving the unique tacos, so we returned this past week. We were pleased to find our meals to be very good again. I love the outdoor patio area that is adjacent to the bar, so the bar is accessible from the patio. I will be back and I recommend this new jewel in Robinson. read more

Exactly what Robinson needed! Their guacamole was fresh and tasted great and their salsa verde was different than I've ever had. It wasn't runny and had a nice garlicy taste. I had a flour tortilla taco and a corn tortilla taco both of which were amazing but I love how they double their corn tortillas with some melted cheese in between. Usually corn tortillas fall apart pretty quickly but the doubling kept it together. The staff is attentive and understanding of willful children (thank goodness). Great outdoor area that's open, looking forward to many margaritas out there this summer! read more

Tacos were not good at all. They had some double decker style and I was hoping it would be like Condado downtown but not even in the same ball park. Nachos were not good either. Few good beers on tap. Service pretty good too at the bar. Just hard to give more than 2 stars given the food quality. Would come here for some beers and the vibe but not to eat. read more

This place is such a gem. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and Patrick took such good care of us. The margaritas are fire, the watermelon frozen white claws are fantastic. Guac is to die for. Queso is amazing. The music is great. The vibe was right. Definitely a place to check out in Robinson. read more

was literally discussing. the taco did not even taste like a taco. very disappointed. also the service was horrible it was like only focusing on favorites knowing who has more money. the time waiting for the food also was ridiculous. read more

Do yourself a favor and check this spot out! Our server recommended starting with the nasty neils nachos (definitely big enough to share) and their white claw slushees. Both were awesome! My friend got the Taco of the Day and I stuck to the regular taco menu. Everything was great but my favorite was the Cluck Norris with perfectly fried chicken. We will definitely be back! read more

A great addition to Robinson, this area needs more unique places like this. Definitely an upgrade from the prior business here. Went here last night. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, it was just warm enough last night to sit on the patio and we were able to have our dog with us which was an added bonus. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We made it for happy hour which included 1/2 price apps and $5 margaritas. Their frozen margarita is fantastic. The menu itself was a little confusing, the build-your-own portion of it could use some clarification. As an appetizer we had "The Trinity" which included 3 dips from each category, we picked the salsa verde (my favorite), guacamole and a queso with chicken in it which would probably be better as a soup than a dip. We went through three baskets of chips, the third of which we had to pay extra for. The chips were good but the baskets were small and we felt like we were pulling teeth trying to get more. If you order three dips, one basket of chips is definitely not enough. The tacos were very good and reasonably priced. Would definitely visit this place again. read more

Lowkey Taco - The Erlich Bachman and Johnny Hopkins - Tacos Near Me - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Very happy with the quality of the food. Lots of yummy options and cool combinations. My partner and I were able to order online and have a delivery to our door, left right outside with no direct interaction which was a huge plus. Lowkey Taco for sure cares about the customer by not risking delivery contact while the country is in quarantine. I'm thankful for the people going to work each day to serve us with quality food options and still managing to safely deliver. I hope you all at the restaurant are staying safe! Thank you for a fantastic dinner, I can't wait to visit the restaurant one day soon! read more

Delicious tacos, amazing guacamole and fantastic signature margaritas. The ambiance is fun and unique. I would have given 5 stars however, we were told upon arriving that they had $5 signature margaritas and again before we paid. That was not the case. Instead of management realizing and compensating the mistake, we were charged full price. Granted it was our waitresses second day, so we didn't argue, management should have fixed it. Also, there is no shame in writing down customers orders. We were given the spicy guacamole when we asked for the regular. It was still delicious though read more

Had a great time sitting outside at Lowkey on a sunny Saturday! They have a great beer list, good food, great margs with a broad selection of flavors/fruits, and fun atmosphere. Bartenders have been very friendly and provided great service every time we've been here. Chips and dip are great, good portions! Plus- dog friendly outside! read more

Tacos are great and so are the drinks. Prompt service and personable staff. Quite the gem.

Amazing! This place is connected to what I guess is it's sister restaurant "The Yard". The wife and I came in after shopping. We ordered the street corn app. and a couple taco platters. Everything was wonderful. The best Tacos I've had in Pittsburgh area. read more

Friday I picked my wife and daughter up at the airport and they were hungry so we stopped @ Lowkey Taco. They wanted to sit outside. Their outdoor seating looked nice so we sat out there. The old H H Gregg building had some kind of annoying generator running that we had to talk over the whole time we were there. Not sure what was up with that but its not Lowkeys fault. They said its normally quiet. We ordered the homemade nacho chips and salsa and it was very good. I ordered the $8.00 lunch special. 2 tacos and a side of rice and beans. The Johnny Hopkins and Young Cheezy were very good. The beans and rice were pretty good too. The only change I would make is to offer street corn as a side also. Everything was tasty and reasonably priced. We'll be back when we're in the area. read more

I don't know how to not sound like a jerk writing this review, so I'm going to say We tried the food but the only one that liked it was the Trash can. We are very upset and we won't be coming back. read more

Cool atmosphere and I enjoyed the outdoor seating but the food just wasn't good at all. I had several different tacos and couldn't even eat the chicken ones they were so burned and crisp and couldn't even tell if it was meat. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and I would go back strictly to have a drink or two but again would not eat food here unless they made some big changes. read more

Such a cool spot! It seems like a hidden jewel. Not only is the food amazing with lots of veg options, but the interior is so cool. You can tell the managers and owners really take pride in what they're doing here. Nice job, Lowkey! read more

My wife and I love this place. The vibe is cool, the bartenders are friendly and make great drinks. The taco combinations are creative and tasty. Definitely worth a try if you are a taco fan. read more

I used to love this place, but things have really gone downhill. Ordered my go to tacos, Cluck Norris, and my wife also got tacos with fried chicken. I don't know what waste scraps they threw in the fryer, but both orders were inedible. Chicken skin, fat, and gristle on a taco. I'm actually sad. Covid wrecks everything. read more

The restraint is great . Friendly atmosphere and friendly people. The tacos are great and so is the service. The caso is off the chain and the beer is cold . And the street art on the walls is pretty cool . read more

Go for the drinks, you won't be disappointed, as their food can only be enjoyed as drunken bar food. Everything seemed frozen and reheated. Simply awful, considering the high price. read more

The margaritas are so good here and I love that their menu has clearly marked vegan items!
