Don't be tricked by the simple appearance of this place or the salsa which what's lighter than I'm used to. This restaurant is now one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh. My chimichanga was one of the most creative and tasty takes on the dish that I have ever had. Also very affordable

Tried the craziest burrito in my life- the NEW "Super Steelers" burrito Absolutely wild. This thing will put you into a food coma and give you meat sweats. I wasn't even able to finish half because I saved room for Tres Leches cake. Great combination of flavors. The fries and shrimp threw me off a little but everything else worked together in harmony. The sauce on top was pretty good but was even better with tapatio hot sauce! the guys both got the shredded chicken burritos which they said were awesome as well. Really large portions and a huge menu. Lots of Pittsburgh type of burritos with crazy fillings that almost always include fries! Liked this place a lot and would definitely eat here again! Check them out and try the Steelers Burrito ‍ I dare ya!!

A neighborhood staple that often gets overlooked or taken for granted. Really good home style Mexican fare made with love and care. Ingredients are always fresh.

This small restaurant seems sort of sketchy from outside but is pretty cozy inside! I don't think they are very busy for indoor dining so I went without issues with a reservation at 7pm on Saturday. I ordered the chicken burrito and I think as a large guy it could fill me for a FEW meals! The portions are larger than anticipated. LIFE HACK: after 7pm Friday, after 7pm sat, and all day Sunday you get up to 3 FREE MARGS!! They claim to be 16oz but they are more like 8-10, but you will actually enjoy them and they are pretty strong. Worth going at any point, staff are super friendly and accommodative as well, Dont take a 4 star as bad - the only downside is number of tables available if it gets busy and it kinda looks like a pizzaria

The BEST fish tacos in PGH, and the servers were very sweet. The food is great, especially for the price. Definitely our to-go place for mexican food.

I am a huge fan of authentic Mexican food, and Los Cabos did not disappoint!! The service was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. The portions were very generous. I felt like I was in my grandmothers kitchen, but a different cuisine! If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I absolutely would.

Cheap and filling food at very reasonable prices! The quality isn't as high as some other local Mexican restaurants, but it's a great deal. I ordered the teas leches, churros, bean with cheese burrito, and shredded beef burrito. The portions are excellent for the burritos! They are much heavier than they look and they are filled to the brim. The meat in the shredded beef burrito was pretty flavorful and didn't have too much fat. It came with a good amount of different vegetables inside as well. There were onions, tomatoes, peppers, and more for no extra charge. There is also a lot rice in the burrito. It was creamy and delicious! The tortilla is on the thicker side, though. The bean and cheese burrito was pretty good, too. The beans tasted earthy, but creamy as well. Plenty of cheese inside. My order came with a feta-like white cheese called cojita in a small container (it was for the meat burrito, but I used it for both). Large portion of spicy tomatoey sauce. Both desserts were fine. I wasn't blown away, but they were both cheap and tasty. Tres leches came with a strawberry and it was cream. There was also whipped cream on top. Churros are large. There's not a lot of sauce on them, though, but the texture is on point. Overall, I was more than satisfied with this visit. Awesome portions and prices! Flavor is there, too. I'd recommend if you want a cheap and filling Tex-Mex dinner.

Would have given 3 & 1/2 stars if I could, the food was very good. Would definitely recommend the Enchiladas Verdes! The atmosphere and service was so so.

Here from out of town and saw reviews! Got an order of chips and salsa...ok...(refill of salsa is extra) and good food....plates enough to be full but not stuffed. Draft beer...place was busy...sat at the bar, bartenders busy but not super friendly. Worth a try

Shrimp burrito, love the garlic shrimp, but lacked lettuce and tomato.

We came in because the menu confused me online. The Pittsburgh meets Mexican was very strange to me so I needed to see for myself. For example, fries in certain burritos?! The spot is BYOB and there are a few tables outside if you want to people watch on Penn Ave. It was hot so we opted for an indoor seat. You order at the counter and take your seat. I got the shrimp burrito (no special sauce as it's sour cream based) and Hubs got the chicken enchilada. We sat down and noticed each table had Heniz ketchup, but not all tables had hot sauce. Yes, Pittsburgh meets Mexican. We are given chips and salsa and warned the chips were hot. Definitely made fresh, so nice touch. I enjoyed the salsa as it had a good hint of spice. Our food arrives within a reasonable timeframe. The burrito was very much there, no tin foil, making me wonder how to eat it. Bite in and find good garlic flavor with the shrimp. There's nothing more than shrimp and rice. No lettuce or tomato dices. I should have read the menu more clearly as all is as described. Don't assume. There was a lot of shrimp and each bite included a taste of shrimp, so positive. On the chicken enchilada, Hubs thought it was average. The flavors were good, but a generic sense overall. It's a good neighborhood spot and the service is great. Definitely not an authentic place and the blend with the city's food culture isn't for me. I'll probably be back as the occasion warrants as the service is friendly and food is average.

Probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in the burgh. It is unassuming from the outside but trust me when I say that the food will not disappoint! When I first came it was late lunch time and the restaurant was empty. I ordered the CHIMICHANGA BURRITO and it was my first time having that, it was good! It was very filling but pretty heavy since it's a deep fried burrito. The next couple times I came it was Sunday lunch and the restaurant had a couple of patrons. I ordered the FISH TACO, SURF & TURF TACO, and AL PASTOR TACO. My absolute favorites are the fish and surf & turf ones--they just hit the spot every single time. I'm always craving their tacos and looking for the next time to go back for more! Also, they have FREE UNLIMITED CHIPS & SALSA as you wait for your meal. But beware because you want to save your stomach for your meal! They also have many flavors of Mexican sodas and margaritas! Their service is very friendly and helpful. The service can be a bit slow, but it's understandable since it's a smaller business. tldr; Food 5/5 Service 4.5/5 Interior 4.5/5

2 bags of chips; guac enough for about 1/3 of bag of chips.
    Andres H.

Extremely disappointing. 1.5 hours to deliver less than a mile - but ok that happens, no stress. 2 bags of chips for order of guac and chips. But the guac is really only enough for about a third of a bag of chips - why even bother with the second bag? The guac even tasted spoiled. I threw it away. The seafood cocktail soup thing was just shrimp and octopus in some bloody Mary type liquid - seems very cheap and was not tasty. It's a travesty to charge $12 for that. The chicken and guac taco tasted mostly of the tortilla that the taco was in - tasteless. The only saving grace was the shrimp taco, which was actually pretty good. Won't order from here again

    Juliana D.

This is a taco, supposedly. Beware, their menu on UberEats says tacos are beef or chicken but they leave out that it comes with toppings that include peppers. I don't like peppers and wasn't expecting it in my tacos, so that was a bummer. All the tacos came torn in half like the photo shows. They also forgot my tres leches

While flavor is fine, it's the same size you can buy at Chipotle for $3. Then, the queso fundido is bad. The queso isn't really melted, the flavor is missing, and they don't give tortillas to eat it with, just tortilla chips. For $14, this is really bad. The chips and salsa is again bad. The chips are so stale which is disappointing. Don't get the fajitas. I got the "mix 3" and ordered chicken and shrimp. There were 5 pieces of shrimp and a few measly, dry pieces of chicken. At $22, fajitas should also come with tortillas. But again, no tortillas are provided. Quite disappointing. Churros are decent and the chocolate ice cream is actually tasty (definitely store bought).
