This is a solid neighborhood diner spot. Early AM lots of tradesmen headed through her for a solid breakfast. Sat/Sun mornings can be slammed because they have good biscuits, staff that can properly prepare an egg, and the menu is good and easy to execute come here enough and the staff will know your name. Lots of first names being thrown around as people walked out. I like that in today's heads down world. Good southern cookin' done right.

It's an old school diner with southern charm. The service was top notch and the food amazing. Classic breakfast options. The wait staff were friendly with their southern charm.

Don't bother. Food is good and basic if you can get seated but that is not going to happen

I've been here several of times and it you come in an off time you might even get served. Today was typical. We walked in and they were busy. We had the odd party of five which is always difficult. Told a 5 minutes wait. 15 minutes later we left. They only have three set up for a party of five, all of which were taken. Two of the three were occupied. At the same time, there were several tables for four which over time became vacant. My wife asked it we could not add a table at the end and told no. End of story. End of story. After 15 minutes, we left and drove 5 minutes to Westlake. They did not have a table for party of 5 either but had the same table of 4 which they could put a chair at the end and have lunch. We did , no inconvenience and we enjoyed the company of our friends Can not cope with the ebb and flow of customers and would suggest that there are options

Pretty mediocre food, but good service. The place always seems to be packed for breakfast though. The parking lot is a big potholed mess.

Never had eaten here. Stopped driving by one day. Expect country cooking. Servings were large. Will be back.

A few weeks ago, my wife and I gave The Foundry a try. It's located inside a 55-and-up community,…read moreso you do have to drive through a small guard check to get there, but that was no big deal. I will say, my wife and I were definitely the youngest diners in the restaurant. Overall, it was a very lovely experience, and we will 100% be back. The only slight negative was that we found the hostess to be a little unfriendly. We arrived at 4:30 without a reservation, and at that time there were only about four tables with diners. She asked us how long it was going to take us to eat because they had reservations at 6:00. I thought that was an odd question to ask, because how fast we eat really depends more on how quickly the meal is served than anything else. Other than that, everything was great. The ceilings are high, the atmosphere is airy and bright, the windows are tall, and the whole space felt clean, fresh, and modern. My wife enjoyed their sweet tea, and we started with the whipped ricotta dip, which was absolutely out of this world. My wife ordered the steak frites, which she thoroughly enjoyed, and I had the fish and chips, which were perfectly cooked. Our server told us it was her first day, but she did an excellent job and was very friendly. We will absolutely be back to try more items from the menu. And as it turned out, the hostess had nothing to worry about--we were in and out in an hour. To those about to nosh, we salute you!

All of it was delicious. For dinner there were 3 orders of the pot roast ( I know we all should have ordered different things), 2 orders of the southwest bowl, and I had the special which was smoked salmon with fettuccini. I can't say enough about how good the food was and the portions were generous. Even the kids pizza that my grandson had was big enough for an adult. I highly recommend this place! And our server was also great!

They were adorable. I promise I'm gonna order me some. I was seated and then my friend joined me. I haven't been to first watch in a few years. I see that the menu has grown some. I kept it classy and went with the triathlete. I also had a purple haze as my drink. The food was good it's never too salty or under seasoned. The customer service was awesome and Natalie was just a butterfly. I wanted to take her away with me.

We decided to wait it out, but we ended up waiting longer than 40mins. I know that the employees can't control when customers get done with their food, but for a good 15 minutes about 5 tables sat vacant while dirty, as they could have cleaned those tables and got the waiting parties seated. Me and my grandmother both love the lemon ricotta pancakes. No matter what day or time it is, they always hit the spot. You can tell that they are made from scratch, as they are not rubbery. The thought of ricotta in a pancake can turn some people away, but all it really does is adds delicacy (makes the pancake tender (if that makes sense)). They usually have soft scrambled eggs, but today they were a bit more of a hard scramble and had trouble cutting a bite with a fork. The bacon this time was so hard that it wouldn't really bend like normal bacon would. I would have rather waited a couple more minutes for some better bacon. They do have a drink called the "Pineapple Express" that is always good. I can't really describe the flavor, but I recommend you try it. You'll have to taste for yourself! As a summary, this First Watch is usually great, but this time it was a miss. I wish that they would be more consistent with the quality of the food AND the service, as some servers act like they don't want to be there while others are great.
