I wish there was a negative rating on Yelp. This is the absolute worst Lowe's store. I can't believe how consistently bad this store is. Unfortunately had to make multiple visits to this store because of several home renovation orders placed in store and the store managers are clueless and rude... it is impossible to get in touch with anyone over the phone and every visit to the store has been painful. We ordered a toilet from Lowe's - which was fine - but we made the mistake of booking the installation and the removal of the old toilet through Lowe's which has been an ongoing disaster. The pro they scheduled - through I guess Angi which used to be Angie's List / Home Advisor - took two weeks and multiple cancelled appointments to come and then when they did charged us an additional $400 for the installation - and left the old toilet in the middle of our driveway. When we contacted him about it he refused to pick it up - and as our town does not do this sort of disposal we reached out again to Lowe's Angi for multiple calls and again are in a seemingly endless spiral of cancelled appointments and lack of service. It's incredibly frustrating - and because Lowe's has outsourced this service - which would be great - they claim they are not responsible for any of it. So be very careful about booking services through them. I will update this if they actually do remove the old toilet after a month of back and forth! read more

Had a terrible experience, the guys in molding and doors are extremely rude. I was nothing but polite and patient. I waited 45 minutes for someone to simply take a door off the top shelf. I went to customer service twice to ask if somebody can just take it down for me and i'll take it to check out. Next time i'm just operating the lift myself. read more

I purchased a Teak Oil 3-Tier Wood Stand for pick up on 4/13. One of the poles was chipped, so I returned the item on 4/14. I repacked the item as it is heavy and I did not want any item falling out. I put one piece of tape across to secure it. I went to the Ridge Hill Store in Yonkers. I go into the store, approach the counter, hand over my return barcode. The lady at the counter kept repeating Tiki oil, and not to me. Two associates kept repeating Tiki Oil to each other. So, I said its a 'Teak' wood stand that you put in the bathroom. The other associate said I'm going to look it up. They look it up, confirm what I'm saying is true. Then the one of them said this doesn't look like you even opened it. I said, yes because at the time I'm thinking she meant I didn't assemble it. Then she is like, well how can you say it's defective? She opened the package. I said, I opened it, I repacked it again. I marked a pole with green wasi tape where it's chipped you can take a look. Then she said, I don't need to. She performs the return, I took one step back from the register to try and read the receipt in better light. Then she proceeds to say very loud, YOU ARE WELCOME. I have my head down, still reading my receipt, I'm still by the register, there was no need for her to say you are welcome embarrassing me in front of other customers. I said, this to her, I'm reading my receipt, you don't need to say you are welcome before I have a chance to say thank you. She starts speaking back, I stop her, ask to speak to a Manager. Then she starts telling me I'm negative. I hardly interacted with her, I'm shopping, there is nothing to be negative about for me. I'm being portrayed as something Im not in front of other customers. She goes in the corner walkies the Manager that Im being crazy, and they are laughing over the walkie like I can't hear them. He comes over and brushes me off rudely. This store used to be a pleasure to shop at, now its one of the worst places to be avoided. read more

The website says they cut and thread steel plumbing pipe. I went to the store and there is a big sign next to the pipe that says they cut and thread steel plumbing pipe. I find Kenneth in plumbing who tells me he can't cut and thread 1-1/4" steel plumbing pipe because it's too big. I say, the whole reason I came here is because you cut and thread steel pipe. Kenneth says: "I don't know, go to Home Depot." So, I went to Home Depot, where it happened to be cheaper. read more

I ordered a range for delivery. There were 4 days of mistakes, between Lowe's, and their delivery service, XPO. Upon delivery, my new fridge was damaged. Gouges down the front door. This has been ongoing since September. It took 2 months to be offered a $100 gift card. I turned that down. The fridge was $700. Maytag and Lowe's say it is XPO's responsibilty. Carmen from Kitchen Cabinets was one of the most unhelpful staff members at this location. I can't believe that she won "Designer of the year" as she had that plaque on her desk. Her mask was down her chin (with her nose and mouth exposed) speaking to me. She acted like she was doing me a tremendous favor by answering any question I asked her. Completely unhelpful and unfriendly. Did her designer of the year trophy go to her head or something? I originally was planning on buying kitchen cabinets from Lowes. I'm taking my business elsewhere where they care about service and don't make you feel like shit for asking a question. btw, the Asian guy who was working in the floors section and the woman working at the cash register at the garden center on during the afternoon of Sunday October 4, 2020 were as nice as can be. This place is a joke. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Faulty appliances and horrible service. I purchased a washing machine and the first time I tried to use it, it malfunctioned. They refuse to return my money because it happened after 48hrs of purchase. They continue to send technicians to service and change parts on this supposedly new appliance, and no resolution. They tell me that the tech has to deem it unrepairable in order for "next steps" to be taken. However, the tech tells me that he isn't allowed to deem it unrepairable, they will simply continue to send a tech to "repair" it. I've asked after how many attempts at repairing can something else be done, and no one was able to give an answer. I asked the customer service rep for a phone number for corporate or someone higher who is able to either give me an answer or a resolution-- the response was that there isn't anyone else for me to contact and that there is nothing else that can be done. This store is going down fast!!! We've had 2 online orders go missing when we went to the store for pick-up. On the first occasion they were able to find the bathtub (yes, they lost a giant tub) after waiting over an hour. The second time around, I waited over 30 minutes on 2 separate occasions and both times told to come back or call the store the next day. As I write this review, I've been on hold for 15 minutes waiting for the receiving manager to take my call. We are renovating a house so we visit home improvement stores on a regular basis. We've had no issues with Home Depot up the road or the other Lowe's. It's worth driving out of the way 20 minutes to deal with more competent stores. read more

I made a Yelp account just to give a review for Lowe's. I've truly never experienced service this slow, poor and horrible but LOWE'S takes the cake. It's been a nightmare working with LOWE'S on a roofing project and now my family is at the point where they no longer want the new roof and simply want to end the working relationship with LOWE'S. We've been calling and going to the store since November trying to get someone who can help with the refund and communicate with the credit card company to stop billing. But ever so conveniently the people in charge are always on break. The territorial manager who is the one to decide if we get the refund and contact the bank has either been avoiding my mother or doesn't report to work. I wish I could give this Lowe's a higher rating. I've been here a few times and have purposefully not written a review, hoping that things would improve, but the store is just disappointing. The selection of certain products is lacking and many items appear as though they've been purchased, returned to the store, and then thrown back on the shelves; the original packaging of too many items are damaged. Not sure what that's about Inventory is too limited and very disappointing. I've had to say, too frequently, to myself 'I should have just gone to Home Depot!' that I just skip both places and patronize local small businesses instead. read more

Worst experience of my Life. I have been sitting in a car in the back of the Lowe's where you pick up large orders because they refused to deliver it to our home three times after ordering it online it's speaking to people for over three hours on the telephone. My husband has been inside now for over an hour after loading 200 pieces of lumber on our truck. They will not let him leave until they get the bill situated but no one seems to know how to take an online bill and charge a credit card. This literally has been the worst experience of my life is 1015 at night the store is already closed and they still have not figured it out. I'm at Home Depot girl all the way. Lowe's in Ridgehill is the absolute worst. I was given three different prices for the same room. Which they measured twice. I guess the room got bigger. In the store there aren't any workers and the ones you see are walking around on their phones. I have literally been trying to get this straight for months. I had to go back four times just to pick the carpet. I went I picked, first visit. Went to pay the second visit. Told I had to come back to pay as they did have measurement. Then on the fourth visit thought we had it. After the second measurement , could not pay on the phone or at another Lowe's. Was prepared to go back again to pay. Get a call about the price for the room that grew. The price for the same carpet, the same room, went from $1000 and change to $968 back to $1000 and change after second measurement. The final price is now $1200. This Lowe's is so hilarious they should be on stag. Had to call cooperate to even get a response read more

One star for the customer service person that tried to recover my business. I didn't have a problem with the customer service desk like the other reviews, I had a problem with the resident bathroom designer. We showed up for our appointment on time and prepared to discuss our exciting remodel of our rental property. This 'woman' treated us like horribly, from the dirty look when we arrived, not knowing who we were, why we were there, and as if we have no experience with home renovations. The entire time she repeated the same information and questioned me condescendingly. I had to tell her 'I got it' before she would move on and actually answer the questions I was asking. We left prematurely because we were tired of her attitude and told customer service we wanted to work with someone else, with better customer skills. I even looked into sending corporate a letter, until I realized the website doesn't provide that option. Then I realized it's a brand-new store and barely has 1 star, as of this review. They have A LOT more problems than this one non-working "designer" making a wage plus commission and turning down business with her horrible attitude. But it is worth warning you!! We went there twice this weekend because we had a project at home. The first person we dealt with in the garden center his name was Johnnie. He was so helpful and knowledgeable. He really knew what he was talking about! We are not a gardeners to say the least so We were kind of lost. He told us exactly what we had to buy and helped us figure out how much we would need. He is a real asset to your company. The second time we went back Vinnie helped us and he really went above and beyond. He had wonderful customer service . Terrible awful customer service. I have just spent over 2 hours trying to get someone on the phone trying to help me. It just rings and rings and rings. If I do get someone they quickly put you on hold and then it disconnects. Another example: We made an appointment for someone to measure a doorframe for a new door. We had rented a van to go meet this person at the new house and he never arrived. We got the door guy on the phone, finally, and he said he was all booked up even though we had an appointment and had confirmed it with him earlier in the week! Atrocious customer service. Clearly has zero care for customers. Another example: went in to order carpets and there was no one on the whole store who could help us. (the worst being the home depot in yonkers... but that's another story). they'll usually have what you need if what you need is not a specialty item but don't bother with curbside pickup - the lockers don't work and you'll have a long wait for customer service inside. read more

Went to buy a lawn mower. Said they were in stock on line but when I got there the mower section was bare except for a few boxes that I guess nobody wanted. The people in the store are hard to find to get help. It's like a baron desert when it comes to help. My wife left me by the mowers to go see if she could find someone to help and didn't return for over 10 minutes. I left in disgust after not finding anything even close to what I wanted. Unfortunately yelp doesn't allow zero stars... Last week, I was told my flooring, wall tiles, and mirror was ready for store pickup. I went into the store 2 days later to pick it up. No one at customer service seemed to understand how to process the pick up. Additionally, the rep skipped me in line to help her friend; her friend was the one who said I was waiting the longest. I was there for an hour and a half while I waited for them to find my items and also give them to me. I even tried getting in touch with the store manager and they tried passing off an Associate as the Manager. The following week, I came to pick up several more items and no one at the store could find my items. I purposely got up early to come into the store before it was crowded. Again, when I asked for help, they walked away from me without acknowledging the frustrating situation. No one wants to acknowledge the lines or help customers. I am still here 2 1/4 hours later with no end in sight. So far, I've seen lines of 10+ people long, self-grooming at customer service, customers telling my husband and I in the parking lot that they feel bad for us, and at 22 weeks pregnant, I made myself comfortable in the store display lounge furniture. I might be sleeping here tonight waiting for my last pickup. Eventually, I was offered a 10% discount on 15 tiles for my wait. For comparison, my pick up order is $2,000. I pretty much laughed as a response. I was really excited for a Lowe's in this area as Home Depot's prices and selection aren't as good. At this point, I'd rather die at Home Depot then step foot in this Yonkers location. read more
