Today I dropped my car keyfob on the street and it stopped working. I thought I'd be spending the day waiting for AAA, but I went to Hastings Paint and Hardware and asked if they could help, and the man at the front desk took it apart, put it back together correctly, and didn't charge me a cent. Instead of trying to help me, the senior guy in the store (the owner?) inserted himself in the conversation and proceeded to humiliate me by telling me there was nothing wrong with it. I am certain that would not have happened if my husband had gone in, or if he has been with me. I am usually a big proponent of shopping local but not this place.
