I needed some keys made recently. I've used a few different key makers in the area, but I decided to come back here. One key was a standard key; the other was a heavy duty key. It took several minutes for them to be made. The owner wrote the codes on a sheet and let me know if they didn't work he'd remake them for me. Both keys worked great! I hired this locksmith to replace my front door lock. He installed a new lock and told me that the Baldwin lock he provided was better than my previous Schlage. Right away, I noticed that all the keys he left looked like copies rather than original manufacturer keys. I later followed up to ask why I hadn't received an original key with a brand-new lock. During that conversation, instead of addressing my question, he repeatedly said, "I don't remember you," at least six times. I had a situation recently where I was locked out of a room at work that I never received the key to. I broke my key in my front door lock. I called Preferred Locksmith. Kevin answered immediately and asked me to text him a picture of the lock. He told me he could come fix it and would be there by 1 pm. He then texted me that he might be a bit late and arrived at 1:05!! The cylinder in my lock was so old that I found myself with both the cylinder and the keys in my hands with no ability to get into my home. Luckily, I called this locksmith company and Kevin came in within 10 minutes to help me get into my apartment. It wasn't simple but Kevin tried everything he could creatively think of since the lock was defective, and after 40 minutes I was in. I was impressed by the fact that A. Kevin arrived promptly, B. he did not break our expensive lock, C. he did not break our expensive door, D. despite this being an untraditional case, Kevin managed patiently to find a way to resolve it with no added costs for me and while maintaining a pleasant conversation with me as an added bonus.
