Paul looked to his personal stash, and what he couldn't find, he fashioned himself. He has a wealth of knowledge about locks and doors and is expertly skilled. After he fixed my doors, he helped me with an old safe that was in our basement. Cost was very reasonable, and he and his wife were super kind. Highly recommend!!

I really wanted to like this local business, but they seem to be doing their best to get bad…read morereviews. I hired Paul for a really routine re-keying: it was a slow, expensive, and rude experience, but I want to support my neighbors on Garth Road, so I didn't say anything assuming it was a bad day. Then I had to have a second experience with them: The lock started sticking more and more, to the point where I was concerned the key would snap off. I called him, he hung up on me mid-question (saying his wife would call me back to schedule things). I called back and he sent me to voicemail; at that point I got fed up. By the time his wife called me back: - I requested quotes from Yelp - Another locksmith reached out, gave a quote - That new locksmith showed up, replaced the lock entirely, and spent time shaping the lock according to the shape of the doorframe. He was also polite and friendly to talk with! - He charged less than 1/2 the price for *all* of this than Paul's routine re-keying. So by the time Paul's wife called me back, I started to say "look, I don't need your services, someone already fixed it for me". She got incredibly defensive, to the point of ranting about how the super of a co-op was recently fired, and something about an affair? It was weird, she hung up, then immediately called me back (off to voicemail with her!) and I resolved to write this review. What the heck. I just hope they're not replaced with another salon.

Driving through the Bronx, I would always see Auto Keys Made Her, in passing. I finally stopped by and I inquired about getting a key fob reproduced. The gentleman behind the counter did his required investigation to determine if it could be done and what was wrong with my present key fob. The gentleman told me that buttons were missing on my fobs mechanism. My car wouldn't auto start, a feature that I use in the winter. My car didn't lock by remote, it only unlocked and the trunk worked by remote, I also started to develop problems starting the car. I had a wonderful experience and I appreciate the professionalism at Auto Keys Made Here, the staff were both equally kind and welcoming. They welcomed me to their business, told me to park my car on the side of the business, and to come in to have a seat. He said it would take about 30 minutes. I went to the dealership in the past to inquire and it was a pretty penny. So I delayed this review to get an accurate price. I am at the dealer today 10/21 to get a price on the key fob. Here are the results. Auto Keys Made Here key Fob- $299.41 Jeep Dealership key Fob- $761.00 this price is without the little metal or aluminum key. One dealership told me that they would need to order the key fob and it would take one week. The dealership today told me that he may have it in stock and I can get it today. My conclusion- I normally let my reviews speak for itself and hope to inspire someone to visit the independent and local businesses and give support, but I am not letting this review make a silent recommendation. If you want to save money on a fully functional key fob without an over inflated price go to Auto Keys Made Here, I saved $461.58 for one key fob. I am sure that you can save money as well.
