7 Months. 2 Measurements. 2 Failed Installations. Still Not Done. If you are considering using Lowe's in Woburn for installation services, don't. My wife and I started a storm door project in August during their "free installation" promotion. We needed Larson storm doors and I clearly stated from Day 1 that the frames required a build-out. I was told this was routine and handled "all the time." That statement turned out to be fiction. Measurement #1: They missed the first appointment. Rescheduled for 10am the next day. Arrived at 1pm. I again explained the build-out requirement. It was not documented. Installation Attempt #1: Installer shows up and informs me: Two doors are bent and unusable. They were never told about the build-out. The porch rails might prevent installation. They drill holes into my front door frame and then leave. Zero completed work. We start over. Measurement #2: Different person comes out after I request someone with more experience. Photos taken. Build-out discussed again. Then comes the quote confusion. I'm told I owe roughly $500 more because the build-out wasn't properly carried over in the new quote. When I ask for documentation comparing the original and revised totals, I'm told the associate "doesn't want to do the math." I had to fight through their automated phone system for nearly an hour just to get basic pricing documentation. Seven months later, end of February, installers return. Installation Attempt #2: They immediately inform me the measurements AGAIN failed to account for build-out width and rail placement. Their proposed solution? Cut my porch rails and improvise framing. They also suggest relocating my house numbers "off to the side." At that point, I stopped the work. Seven months. Two measurement appointments. Two failed installations. Damage to my door frame. Incomplete project. This wasn't a complicated custom job. It was storm doors with a clearly disclosed build-out requirement from the beginning. The pattern here isn't a mistake, it's systemic incompetence between sales, measurement, and installation. I will be hiring an actual professional to finish the job. If you value your time, your home, and basic project management competence, do not use Lowe's installation services. read more

First they are desperately short employees. I was sold a dishwasher with installation and all. We were told 2 weeks moved out to 4 weeks by them and then told they don't have the one we paid for. Plumber calls tells us our unit is not available, phone calls to the store ring for 10 minute before they pick up. We are getting our money back and going to Home Depot. Do not shop here!! read more

Good place to get some paint supplies. Their prices are usually very competitive with Home Depot and I particularly like their customer service and corporate culture better. Although staff were polite they were often unavailable-repeated phone calls went unanswered, staff not available in blind department, and no one seemed able to resolve issues. I special ordered blinds. One of the two was great, the other was too long. The response was to reorder despite being told by manufacturer it would still be too long. The only professional responsive department was installation. In the future I would only buy off the shelf. Never order anything from this store read more

I ordered a 2 piece swivel rocking chair set Dec 18th. Was told they have an outside distributor to deliver chairs. Cleared the 16th of Jan for delivery. They informed me they couldn't deliver until Jan 22nd 10am to 2pm. At 6pm called store. Manager Donald Pickney investigated, called me back, and went out of his way to deliver the set to me after working all day. Was very impressed, and very grateful. Donald you are a superstar and the Lowes in Woburn should be happy to have you. You are one in a million. We thank you so much. Writing on behalf of my mother who's a senior citizen. She bought a new refrigerator this week that she had delivered. The delivery workers refused to hook up the new fridge because of copper wiring, refused to put handles on the new fridge, wouldn't take the old fridge away , complained it would ruin his truck. My mom paid for both hook up of the new fridge and to haul away the old one. One of the guys had the nerve to ask if she lived alone. Made her feel very uncomfortable. Beware: Lowe's delivery of refrigerator will not install the refrigerator for you if your building has copper pipe--this is different from Home Depot, who does not have such absurd policy. You wouldn't know what type of pipe you have anyway, until the moment of installation when the delivery just say, sorry can't do--not their problem. They suggested us hiring a plumber to replace our building copper pipe to a different pipe then they can come back to install the fridge for us months or so later (and after additional hassles). Who would do that? We just have our contractor friend install for us and have Lowe's delivery come back to haul away the old fridge. Lowe's should be more clear about their absurd policy. Not many people would know especially when Home Depot does the same job just fine. read more

Then got a quote then problem started. one window measurement was missing. Told person that gave me quote. She told me the person needed to measure again. Eric was absolutely wonderful and patient. I had no idea what I was doing. Just what I wanted to accomplish and the color paint I wanted, I gave him the idea I wanted, and he got me everything I needed to do what I needed. He also was cautious of what he offered, giving me his advice on what was the cheapest and then what the best was for what I needed. He even walked my stuff to the register for me. do NOT risk purchasing large items from this store- in fear of the damage they can create while delivering and then doing NOTHING to fix it. I had a fridge delivered Nov 10th(not to mention the 2nd one bc the first was damaged). well when they delivered the guy took my door completely off the hinges (not the hinge pins) he then put the door back on- he said he knew how(I took his word for it). well it is now Nov 28th and I've been dealing with a nightmare situation with Lowe's. when he put my door back on he didn't do it correctly. my door is missing screws in the hinge, my dead bolt doesn't work, cold air is seeping in my house, and the door sticks because of how wrong they put it back on. I called Lowe's immediately. what have they done since then you ask, nothing!! it took me 12 calls to finally get a hold of someone 2 weeks later. Then when i finally demanded to talk to someone else they told me I needed to find someone to fix my door and they will reimburse. Well I have struggled to find someone to come out and fix my door. Lowe's is a home improvement store- THEY broke my door and now are making ME figure out how to get it fixed. this process has been absolutely infuriating. The company does not care about any home damage they create. I would not recommend this store or company to my worst enemy. They give you the same scripted lines and do NOTHING to rectify the damage THEY caused. If you've ever wanted a bathroom model to take eight months in total, you've totally come to the right place! Almost every visit was a comedy of errors, I just began to laugh at everything so I didn't go completely insane. From toilets that were two months on backorder (certainly not the stores fault) to having a contractor they hired completely flake out (that is somewhat their problem) and finally migrating to a new system and completely losing my order (that one's on you, fam).....I'm so glad we weren't on any sort of strict time schedule to get it all done. I'm here often because it's the closet Lowe's and there is no Home Depot any closer. I'm not going to this location by CHOICE, and nobody else should either. If you think you can get better customer service elsewhere, I highly recommend it. Even four months later, I'm still dealing with a Lowe's credit card problem where they said they would extend to me special 18-month financing because of all of the issues I've had and it still hasn't gone through with the servicer. The store promises me they've called to fix the issue and nada. I had one competent CSR that left this location and the rest I have dealt with have been anything but. Even picking up one last piece of an order took me almost an hour with the front desk. This should never, EVER happen. How they couldn't track down the timeline of events within the system is beyond me. Everything about our experience was extremely sub par and I can guarantee I'll never go through them again for a big job, I don't care how tasty the 18-month financing deals look at the time. Stay far, far away unless you're great at helping yourself with what you need. I literally don't trust anyone here to be able to help you in the first shot at anything. They'll give you bad advice, you'll be pushed back and forth between departments, it's a terrible company culture issue that is going to cost them business in the long run. read more

I rarely write reviews on visits to the hardware store but I needed to take the time out and thank Matt & Warren from Lowe's Woburn for their outstanding customer service this weekend. My partner and I bought wood from a Home Depot in Waltham and had them cut for the kitchen cabinet shelving. We tried to install them into the cabinet, but the dimensions were off by a 1/4 inch on one side for all 7 pieces. The employee there was very dismissive to cut the wood to match the original shelving, saying they don't trim wood down. We called an Ace hardware store in Newton to which someone said they can trim the wood, only to be rejected by another employee there. "We don't cut outside wood, only what was bought from our store". This was understandable, but how this employee handled our request was disappointing. We came by based on the other employee's confirmation that the wood could be trimmed, only to to be turned down. However, we appreciate Jason from that location for being helpful. We called Lowes in Woburn prior to arriving to find out if they could help. I was a bit hesitant since our time was wasted from the previous locations. But Warren said they could trim the pieces on the phone. We arrived at the lumber area and was already impressed by the inventory they had. I was greeted by a gentleman there, who wished me a Happy Father's day. That was a nice thing to do. We found Matt, explained what we needed, and without hesitation, he trimmed a few of our wood (purchased from somewhere else) to the dimensions needed. The wood, which was plain lumber, was terribly cut as we learned. So we decided to buy the wood there. Not only did we buy a pre-made white finish wood, Matt went ahead to cut and trim the pieces, with some extras. Warren was on hand to watch. It's the type of customer service that is rarely given but so appreciated. The pieces fit perfectly into our cabinets, and they look amazing. Regardless of this store's overall rating here on Yelp, it will now be our go to store for home improvement and other needs. The customer service experienced here is worth the 27 min drive compared to the 5-7 min drive to Home Depot or Ace. Thanks again to Matt & Warren for their superior customer service! read more

I bought a water heater in Lowes yesterday and found it's demaged. I called the company and it covers the parts and they gave me the authorization code email. I was told to go to store and take the parts. when I get the parts and lowes don't allow me to take it and said I have to removed old parts off the water heater and come back to exchange the parts. The store return service is not helping at all. I ended up to pay those parts and get the money back after replacing it. It's bad experience with lowes warranty. Being carefully to buy water heater there. maybe just return the bad water heater back to store. read more

He finally begrudgingly talked to me and half assed attempted to get someone to the isle to help me. I noticed all the other customer service people announced over a loud speaker to go to the isle to help a customer. He did not bother with doing that. Of course no one showed up. Safety warning to women, elderly and others. I just got a dryer installed by Lowe's third party delivery and service company XPO. They were rude and frighteningly angry when I kindly asked them to complete the job by putting the dryer in the proper location. The anger and misogyny from the XPO crew was horrifying. They stormed out and slammed my door. They scared me. Lowe's chooses this group so I will never order from Lowe's again as I was frightened for my safety. I left a complaint with customer service. I am still shaking! Please be safe and don't have anything delivered from Lowe's. read more

The advertised curbside pickup is deceptive. I ordered insulation online for curbside pickup and the store cancelled the order. I called the store but no one picked up the phone. I called Lowe's corporate and was told that the store requires people to purchase products only inside the store. I asked why, in this age of covid, Lowe's is requiring in store purchases, the rep changed her story. If I want curbside pickup the store employees will have to call me so I can make the purchase and then I can have curbside pickup. I'm pretty certain deceptive advertising predates covid. read more

TLDR, This Lowe's locations customer service is horrendous. 3 days no call about failure to deliver, 4 days of phone calls passed the promised delivery date only to be told they refused deliver at first, then failed to reserve the product and then deliver as promised on a follow up day even the order was never canceled. After ordering baseboards for delivery, this faculty failed to deliver the product on the day it was suppose to be delivered. After calling to find out what happened I was told they wouldn't to deliver to my location because it was 31 miles and they only deliver to 30 miles. As a policy I understand but they didn't call or inform me in any way. I had to call them 3 days later to find out and getting through to customer service took more than hour. After finally getting clarification and follow up with a promise to deliver anyways, I rescheduled the delivery and having never canceled the order only to be called the morning of deliver to be told they sold the product I was waiting for and they could deliver 6 of the 16 I ordered. For fear of dealing with this facilities customer service I would highly recommend avoiding it altogether. read more

This has to be one of the worse Lowe's that I've encountered so far. They don't always answer your calls, you'll keep ringing and ringing. Their delivery process is convoluted. I've ordered an appliance, got an email about the delivery which will be all day of waiting from 8 am-8 pm, really? I called them several times and found out that the appliance hasn't arrived at their store yet so there won't be any delivery. Do you think they would call you first? Why sent an email confirming the delivery but it's not being delivered. They will tell you it's better to order in store than online. That's exactly what I tried to do but their appliances were not well stocked and they were totally busy without any help. Their inventory is not updated on their website. I went to Lowes on 5/29/22 to look at flooring. A young man and older man assisted me. With their recommendations I picked out an affordable floor planking that looks great in my house. I even saved 100 dollars on my order by getting a Lowes credit card. I called the manager to let him know that my experience was a very good one and appreciated the help I got. He asked me to do the online survey which I gladly would have but the survey wanted too much personal information. I was a regular Home Depot customer but I'm switching over to Lowes. I went to Loews to find a vanity and before Eddie came to the dept. KEVIN from flooring helped me out and way beyond any expectation. Wasn't even his dept. but took so much time to look into what was available and did his best to explain each vanity. EDDIE , who joined us, from the bath dept. was so helpful. Went over so many different option from vanities to faucets and fixtures. From there, he took us to lights and was so helpful as well. Finally, because I had prepaid for my items out back, the smaller things I purchased at the register and had to show LESLIE my receipt. She really took time looking at the receipt-- only because she was afraid I got charged twice- She was great-- overall - great experrience!! read more

I had Lowe's botch up our delivery, all cause they were using our OLD phone number. We asked salesperson to use one of our cell phone numbers as contact, and the day before we receved no call, called them in the evening to find out if any problem or what number were they using. Person we spoke with just past us on to delivery office, and they only really said they would still call. If they would have been more patient and LISTENED to us, they would have discovered they were calling wrong number! Both people weren't helpful. I call the next day and then they say deluvery is between 10:30-2:30- we stay at home waiting- no delivery, only later to find out they called the wrong number. I like the store in it self- but this review is response to a very poor delvery experience. Thursday 6/20- Purchsed a dishwasher on clearance. Told it wold be delivered next day to our facility which is a quarter mike from the store. 6/21- No delivery. 6/24 No delivery. 6/25- call customer service. The have no record of my purchase. After about 30 minutes on the phone on hold, being transfered around a dozon times, I finally speak with Katie- the Delivery manager that reports it will be delivered later that day, which of course no surprise, was not delivered. 6/26- 6 days after The dishwasher was finally delivered. You can't find anybody To find your product for you, they just tell you go down to I'll 16 take a right and it will be on the left on the top shelf and when it's not there you have to turn around and try to find somebody else who knows. The online order, delivery process, and customer service follow-up were abysmal. I ordered the equipment late November, it was delivered early December, but the delivery driver and accompanying person was not able to haul away the old oven/stove because it was not disconnected. So, they left 2 stoves at the property. I was confused because I thought that was already part of the process (why make it harder on the customer?). I wouldn't have ordered haul-away service if they said "we will not be able to haul away if it is not disconnected by you" but they did not say that. So I was surprised when they arrived and did not take the stove. I explicitly ordered a haul-away and paid extra for it, yet the stove is still there. I have not received a refund, and no one reached out to me to offer one. On the order form, there was only 1 check box, and that was for haul-away service, not for special fee/service for disconnection/connection service, and that was not disclosed there. If I was told early on I would have been afforded the opportunity to make preparations with my plumber. When I called the delivery driver back from missed call, he did not speak English, and the person with him did not translate well. When I spoke to the tenant in the property who is Spanish-speaking, I asked her did he say why he did not take the other stove away, she said he said "he did not know how to do it." Because I could not resolve the issue with the Spanish-speaking driver, I called the management line to get resolution, but had a long wait time, so did the call back. Eventually got the call back but the service representative was not helpful and she said she could only open a Case Number and have them get back to me in 24 hours. They did not call back in 24 hours, they did not call back in 48 hours. I had to call them back and remind them about the open case. There was not real apology for not calling me back. Then they only offered to update the website so maybe have a pop up on the screen when I made the order so customers in the future know they have to sign up for disconnection/connection service. They offered for me to get leads or quotes for the install through their providers but at that point I was already upset and want to do nothing else with them. Now I have to pay $325 for my own plumber to install the stove. At a minimum they should be cover any cost I have associated with this. This was terrible service and not work it. read more

I know they are busy, but when you order something 5 days ago that says it will be ready in 4-6 hours and receive no notifications and the website still says processing. Waiting 5 days because of the situation in the world with the virus and finally calling and the person says we have them here if you want to come in and buy one that you didn't order and hangs up. Listen, we are all off a bit, I am also working....I would never be that rude to my customer who waiting way longer than needed for a pick up. read more
