    I'm first to tip here--because ABV Appliance has impressed me and exceeded my expectations.

    I am more than impressed with ABV Appliance and wish I had reached out to them sooner--i.e., before going with the default GE (manufacturer's) own technician. I called to schedule and Vlad, the Licensed Technician, came the next evening on December 14, 2023. Vlad is a thorough Licensed Technician. He first listened to the compressor sound of our refrigerator, then continued to do additional diagnosis to ensure that the problem isn't caused by something else (which is less likely BUT happened to be the case here! We're so lucky to have found ABV Appliance. On top of that, Vlad explained to me what he was doing and why -- and what the GE technician failed to do -- all while he was making his analysis and testing. Prior to ABV Appliance (Vlad) coming here, we didn't know better and went with the GE (manufacturer's) technician, who simply listened to the compressor and concluded that it's the compressor that's causing the whole issue. WRONG! Most technicians could get by doing haphazard job, providing wrong diagnosis and wasting consumes' money. But not ABV Appliance. Like I said, Vlad took an extra step and used his technical tools to diagnosis to figure out that the compressor isn't the issue here. Luckily, I felt something was shady with the GE technician (unwillingness to provide a written diagnosis for us to file a claim with our insurance (credit card warranty). I trust ABV Appliance fully and know that they have consumers' interests as their top priority. While they could easily recommend me fixing the refrigerator and make more money from me, they were honest and give their honest professional recommendations, which is to glibly a new refrigerator because the cost of fixing this refrigerator is way more than the price of the refrigerator itself or a new one. My insurance (Credit Card Extended Warranty) asked for very specific and detailed information from the Licensed Technician and ABV Appliance has been able to provide a written report of the diagnosis, even refuting the GE (manufacturer's) wrong diagnosis, for me to use to file this claim. They said they deal with insurance claims all the time and from the look at the detailed report they provided to me for submitting to my insurance, I can tell they are experts in fixing these appliances. I would wholeheartedly recommend ABV Appliance and, again, recommend them over the manufacturer's own services--as those are not trust worthy and are just in a hurry to finish their quick haphazard diagnosis without caring that the fridge would broke down again in a few months. As for values, it cost only $95 for their visit and very thorough diagnosis. Note, this is cheaper than GE's technician, which cost $119.95 for a haphazard incompetent job. I believe in ABV Appliance and trust them with all my appliance repairs need. I trust their experts' diagnosis and trust that they have customers' interest at heart. An honest and thorough and competent business like this is bound to succeed and I will be monitoring them as they get more customers by reviews like Yelp here and by word of mouth. Also, note, as of now, there's 20% off for Yelp users , so be sure to take advantage of that--but I honestly would use them even without the discount as I have experienced enough with bad technicians from manufacturers and other services. Finally, thank you again, ABV Appliance, for an awesome and thorough job that even GE (manufacturer's) own technician failed to diagnosis correctly. I can confidently tell all of my Yelp friends and friends to trust ABV Appliance. You are in good hands. Trusty business and does a thorough all in the interest of what is best for their customers. Because I'm so impressed by the quality and honesty and professionalism of ABV Appliance, I am more than happy to provide any information to others -- just PM me.     Great response time but unreasonably high quote. The turnaround time for parts is average but the actual repair is speedy.

    I have a Sub Zero Model 642 refridgerator that had stopped working on a Friday night. On Saturday…read moremorning I was able to schedule an appointment online for the 9:00 to 11:00 time period. Adam came out and was very knowledgeable. He pointed out that I needed a new master control board due to a failure with it he found. He also pointed out that the master control board works with several different Sub Zero model, but my old (failed at this point) was not configured properly for the Model 642 so he fixed that as well when he installed the new board. He noticed that the fan above the refrigerator was not properly grounded so he connected the grounding wire to it. He also thoroughly examined my system and noticed that the "input panel" had a defective on /off switch which would trigger a spurious "off command" to the master control board. He disconnected the "input panel" from the master control board so no spurious off command would be issued until he could receive a new "input panel" so I could have use of the refrigerator for the few days it would take to get the part. He knew how to "work around" my problem so I could still have a working the refriderator. I could not change the internal refrigerator temperature during those days without the input panel, but I did not need to. I highly recommend him.

    This guy fixed my cooking range and hence two stars but has severe severe attitude issues. Before…read morehe came I sent him a clear photo with an arrow showing the problematic cooking element in my cooking range . He misunderstood and assumed that the whole thing was dead. He comes here doesn't even try to turn it on, doesn't try to diagnose anything and starts to tell me that this ai ain't worth fixing . When I tried to correct him , he starts to yell at me (the customer) saying "you don't understand what I am saying" . All I was doing was trying to explain that not all but only ONE element was not working. Even during diagnosis and repair (second session) he needed help from me (the customer) to hold this support that etc at almost every step of the way . Isn't an independent contractor supposed to be 100% independent in his work? I've engaged electricians and plumbers and other and they all do their job without asking the customer to physically assist. Most importantly his TONE of speaking to the customer (me) was so UNCUSTOMERSERVICE like and almost condescending. I'm an electrical engineer myself with 20+ years of experience and I did not appreciate his approach to talking with a customer. I had no choice and an a time sensitive situation and so engaged with him to get my cooking range fixed. So while HE MAY KNOW what he is doing... that was his opener on the phone ("I know what I'm doing") clearly his work seemed like an amateur who was referencing multiple internet sites etc . To be fair to his credit he did get my cooking range element part ordered and fixed it promptly. Hence I have the two stars. But given his attitude and conversational tone I would NEVER hire him again.

I have an ancient dual fuel Frigidaire range and Mike performed a battery tests, explaining and showing me along the way, to correctly pinpoint and diagnose the key problem - a faulty control board. The entire time he was on his phone checking availability of different parts and providing me with a range of options. Given that the stove is over 20+ years old we've elected to purchase a new one, but Mike helped me make a sound decision and not waste time. Moreoever, Mike loves his work. I put his contact into my phone under favorites and will be recommending him to friends and neighbors. Highly recommended.
