Unfortunately, our refrigerator was out of warranty, even though it was less than three years old. I shared this with Joe, and he immediately stepped in to help. After GE completed a site visit and provided a list of required parts, Joe placed the order right away and let me know the parts would arrive on 12/18. True to his word, on 12/18 Tyler came out and spent a good portion of the day repairing our refrigerator. He was outstanding--he took the time to walk us through everything he did, and provided us with some tips on what to do / not to do with the appliance. We couldn't be happier with how this turned out and are extremely thankful to the Poirier team for stepping up and supporting us when we really needed it. Words can't express how relieved and happy we are to have a fully working refrigerator again. Kudos and sincere thanks to the Poirier team for a job exceptionally well done! Happy holidays to all!

Initially, I contacted Poirier Appliances which is where I had purchased the washer/dryer pair only 2 yrs and 2 months ago (so 2 months out of warranty). They wanted $225 just to walk in the door and diagnose the machine, + $70/hr labor + parts. I won't be going back to purchase anything there! So, next I called Ace Appliance Repair after I learned from the F-P mother ship that they were authorized to do F-P repairs. I made an appointment for 2 days out, but they called back next day with an opening. Joe came out to diagnose for $70. Dryer needed a new electronic board, which cost around $175, and had to be ordered. He came back a few days later and installed the board for an additional $50 labor fee. Dryer has been fine in the week since installation. F-P parts are expensive, but the labor cost and service rendered were very good and Joe was no drama and got the job done quickly. I recommend Ace Appliance Repair.

I had to find the discount on their website separately because they do not offer to me automatically. I am not happy with the communication and the thermostat replaced. It is a rental property. Unlike other companies I used, I never received a call 30-60 mins before the technician arrived. So I was not sure if he showed up or not. Whenever I called the company, I was talking to the teams handling customer service, not the technician directly. So there is always a middle man between the tech and me to translate information. The diagnosis was on Wednesday. I approved the quote right away after I received it. The repair was the next Thursday 8 days later. The appointment was initially scheduled for the morning between 9-12. I then got a call to say he could not make it on time and would be there around 1pm. I got a tenant message to say he still did not show up at 2:30PM without any call to inform he would be further late. What I am most disappointed is the new thermostat installed during this repair! He replaced my old programmable thermostat with a new FocusPro N100 Non-Programmable Thermostat 1H/1C. When every household is switching to a smart thermostat, he installed an ancient manual controlled thermostat! I would appreciate he could give me some option to select different types of thermostat. I would have no problem to pay for something better or even buy a smart thermostat myself. I called the company to complain about it. All I got was it is fully functional and it is more modern than my old programmable thermostat! I could not be more disappointed about this. Despite they fixed my AC, I do not feel comfortable to use this company again and to recommend it to anyone else if this is not addressed.

Called to have a tech come out and they said "we're not taking any new customers". I've used them…read morebefore and their reasoning was that "it was a couple of years ago". No reason as to why they can't service especially after speaking with a tech last week saying they were able to come if scheduled. The last time they serviced my freezer- it wasn't working properly after service so i called them back because i had over 6k in ice cream melting, so i needed a tech ASAP. that must have had me blacklisted. At least tell the customer why you blacklist them. They came and fixed the freezer after their mistake the first time and that's why i tried to use them again. They're on the expensive side anyway.
