We were then assigned a rude adolescent, Devin that refused to provide any service, training or add any value to my showroom and whenever we called we would wait weeks for emails or calls to be returned. I'm a builder (GC), also a real estate broker and have been in business for over 20 years. I do two personal projects a year and opened an account with them in 2022. They offer 30% discount to contractors, builders, wholesalers, tile-installers, etc (licensed professionals). Last week, I made a purchase for $1700 and my discount was not honored, I reached out to management to rectify this and spoke with the store manager, Cheryl LaFlamme who claimed I was not eligible due to not having visited the store in a couple years. She asked me to send her multiple forms of my licensure to confirm I was eligible, which I did as requested, and she stopped responding to all communications and did not honor their policy. Of note, that their policy does NOT require frequent visitations for the discount to be applied with a valid account. read more

This place is tile HEAVEN. They have SO MANY options displayed on their walls, their floor and, of course, there are also samples you can turn like pages or drag across like a curtain. Shoutout to Fitzgerald Tile in No. Reading. Went in to showroom on a Tuesday, got free samples to take home; great customer service. Staff was helpful but not at all pushy. Took samples home, and narrowed down choices. The next day my tile guy said if I got the tiles he could install the next day. Called Fitzgerald that afternoon. Without hesitation they were more than happy to put together my order and make it available for pickup within the hour. They didn't even insist on credit card over the phone. I arrived Wednesday afternoon to pick up tile, and it was installed Thursday. Tomorrow it will be grouted. Fitzgerald Tile is the place to go !! When I'm ready to renovate my bathroom I'll be back. Hours are pretty annoying (only open late Thursday night, Saturday till noon and not on Sunday), but other than that - this place is great. There's a large selection of tile and they have the tile in the warehouse in the back, so if you can haul what you need - you can take it away that day. Or if you are still thinking about what you want, you can take a sample home to test. What I really like about this store - the tile is actually ON the floors and walls - you can stand on it and see what it would really look like, or stand in a mock shower to feel what the wall tile will look like. Not like when you go to home depot and there is one tile on a shelf - how can you envision what that will look like? We ended up going to the same guy 4 different times to pick out tile for our bathrooms & kitchen - he was really knowledgeable about the products & helped us find the perfect tile for each thing. We would not have matched out tiles quite so nicely had it not been for his help. Thankfully my remodel is almost done (so I can have a clean house back!!), but the next time I remodel a kitchen or bath - this is the place to go. read more

Same experience as the other reviews. I went in alone to pick out my tiles after my floor guy recommended I check out the place for a wider selection than he could offer. I also look about 28 and they did acknowledge me, but it was in an awkward, snotty, condescending - "are you seriously able to afford this" or a "what are you doing here" sort of way. This is unfortunate as they amount of tile selections is amazing and almost overwhelming. When I was able to get some service, they let me take a few free samples home and were very knowledgeable. Fitzgerald tile was recommended to me by my bathroom remodel contractor. Since then I have been multiple times purchasing tile for my bathroom and several other projects. The staff is knowledgeable but not pushy. They encourage you to walk around and get an idea of the varieties they have then they help you narrow it down asking good questions to really understand your needs. They are more than happy to provide you with a couple samples for comparison to help you make you decision. Ordering is very easy and you pick it up at their on site warehouse (just drive around the corner). I have had all extremely positive experiences with high quality tiles at reasonable prices. I think a lot of people don't realize the quality of the tile makes the installation process easier (no warping etc). I absolutely would (and have) recommend to friends! read more

I recently bought a home that needed some updating. I went to Fitzgerald Tile to look for tiles and I met Brittany. She was awesome! I showed her some ideas I had saved on my phone and she was able to help me piece everything together. Not only was she personable, she was knowledgeable! I have never been more aggravated in my life. I walked in to look for many types of tile. I am remodeling my whole house and need well over 2000sf of tile. 1500sf of it is just one room! My contractor recommended I visit this place but I will NEVER go back, I know I look like a 25 year old without a pot to piss in but the sales staff avoided me like the plague. I'm sorry I didn't know I needed to look like a 45 year old soccer mom to get a little help. I wandered all around pissed because I would try and make eye contact and they would avoid me. People who walked in were approached within seconds as I was never helped. Sometimes they even walked around me like a post to get to someone. I finally approached a bitch with who had a dark brown bob haircut with pearls on and kindly asked her if there were any more colors available in a particular tile and she responded with her arms crossed "No, that's it" looking at me like a beggar. I felt like telling this minimum wage saleswoman that my master bathroom is probably bigger than her entire apartment, but I held it together and decided that these people probably work off commission and they weren't getting it from me. I didn't want to stoop to being as snotty as these bitches were. I own a business and have never treated a paying customer like this regardless of what my first impression is. Just because I am in my 20's does not mean I haven't got the money to pay. read more

We went there this thu night and had the same experience as the second woman in the review below. We talked to a guy with a beard who was somewhat bald, and it was probably the worst experience trying to buy a ton of expensive products I've ever had. We left, no one having helping us in the end. But, here's the deal we've since learned -- this is how they plan to treat you. If that helps, it should make it a bit better. This isn't the kind of tile place where you go in not knowing what you want (we since called and asked them about our experience), you need to go here knowing what you want and then basically you can pick through a ton of on the floor samples and they have a good amount stocked. They just aren't going to help you in the process, however. read more

Went in at 1030am on a Wed. Place had quite a number of customers. The sales staff greeted me at the door, and were quite helpful in showing me their marble selection that would match my tile sample. I didn't experience any of the negative customer service that so many yelpers mentioned. It helps that they have the tiles I wanted in stock, so anytime I'm ready, I can just cash and carry. No wait time. I haven't bought anything from them yet. Their prices are lower than the tile shops I've visited in Watertown, but are more expensive than the marble warehouse in Westwood. Their marble selection is limited too - they don't carry real calcutta marble tiles for example, and they have limited types of tile patterns in the carrara ones. They do carry a whiter carrara from china and a greyer carrara from Turkey. Most of their tiles seem to be ceramic, porcelain and glass. They do have a return policy on those. But no returns for marble tiles. That's why I hesitated in buying. I'll update this review again if I do end up buying from them again. But so far, the experience was positive. read more

I showed her my color scheme and she brought me over to a suggested tile, it was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I loved that they have the tiles showcased on the floor, so you actually get to see what you will see when they are installed. They have a great assortment of choices:) The tiles were a little pricey but much to my surprise they were on sale and half off! A TOTAL SCORE! It was a no brainer, after shopping for weeks at numerous different locations. Would I recommend them you betcha, and ask for Gina, she was very helpful and had me in and out of there in under 20 minutes! read more

This place is a mistake waiting to happen. I had trouble from the moment I gave the salesperson my credit card. he never gave it back and I forgot to ask later that nite my card issuer called and wanted to know if I authorized purchases in Ireland. When I retrieved the card it was nowhere to be found after a search it turned up on someone's desk in the back not my salespersons that had left for the day. Then I got doubled billed for the transaction and the accounting dept couldn't refund me because it didn't show up on there end as being charged 2X but my credit card showed it twice billed. I had to call the credit card company to cancel one of the sales. Three weeks later, I get a call saying all my tile is in. i go pick it up a 45-minute drive. it turns out after loading it, it wasn't all there. Unloaded it and wrapped it up and stored in bin for later pick up. Two weeks later i get a call asking if I could give up some of my bullnoses to a customer that needed it. I said no but a week later when my other tile came in my org wrapped pallet had gone missing. the bullnose too. Luckily they had received some more and the order was filled. I asked it for it to be inventoried on the truck I got some rude associate that told me I didn't need to it that it was all there. I insisted and then he walked off swearing to me and at me. Two other warehouse workers came to my aid. and counted it out. so a total of three had counted it. do you think it was all there? No a case of some other size was in order noticed it after I unloaded it. There is no way can a common person now how many cases of what they are getting as the amount is measured in sq feet not box count. So be careful and double check your order before you leave. This place is great if you know what you want. Salespeople are there to take orders not help you out. They have many selections of tile at reasonable prices. Management doesn't care as when I called in the beginning they never called back after three attempts. The company is too big to care about there customers. Therefore to big to fail. This is the attitude of all the help, the dont care and wont until managment changes The company needs to hire a consultant to better themselves. At the minimum read more

Customer service here it is horrible. I went to the store with my family to look for tile for our future bathroom. As we were looking at samples. A lady looked at us like we were stupid and said " hey just look at the floor all tiles are on the floor" (imagine her tone) ...Than after looking for awhile, we approach an older lady, who was annoyed by our questions and not really willing to help. I was getting so mad at her and ready to snap. but held my ground, and asked another person on the floor for help. ...Again we try to ask her for some information and she was so rude!!! I could not believe!!! ....We talked to 3 guys and they were all smiley and ready to help, but the women in this place are just PLAIN AWFUL !!!!! these women work should be paid "$ 0 " ...because I doubt they are able to sell anything !!! THEY ARE TOO RUDE!! ...And by the way the worse one was wearing a greenish glass frame!! run away from her if you decide to go there!! read more
