I used Instock Flooring to have a carpet runner that I had purchased from Building 19. I got a fair price of $50, and they had it done in a couple of days. They assisted in choosing a matching color for the binding which was appreciated. I have another runner which I will be using them for in the near future. read more

Requested quote for new countertops and hardwood floor--done by 2 different people. I really wanted to support a small business. Purchased hardwood flooring from them, didn't look like the store sample when installed and the finish was very different. I was told flooring was very durable, so since it looked different than store sample, I poured red wine on a scrap piece. The red wine stained, and Drew kept telling me it was the same flooring and he was sure I would be happy with it even though I proved that was not true with the red wine. I felt like he was selling me a bag of crap and telling me it was chocolate. Their crew left my house in a shambles during demolition phase. We literally could not walk in our kitchen because of debris stacked a few inches high. I was told they assumed we weren't going to live in our house while they were there. Countertop quote took 2 months to get final quote, and by that time I had already found someone else. read more

We just built a home in Salem and went to Instock Flooring for our tile needs. This was the most professional, knowledgeable, courteous group we've ever dealt with. The installers are perfectionist in my opinion. The staff from Lisa , Conor and Catrina and the installers are top notch !! Don't shop anywhere else because there is no better !!! read more

We have used Instock Flooring now for our mudroom/laundry room floor tiles and our spare bathroom shower & floor tiles, and we could not be happier! I am very picky, but Conor has helped us each time and can always recommend a great selection based on the design we're going for. If there are any hiccups in the process, Conor will always come with a solution making the experience so much less stressful! It's really rare to come across this type of customer service these days. Thanks Conor and Instock Flooring! We love our tiles!!! read more

Selection seemed great. Pricing was tough to figure out on displays. Just wish someone had greeted when walked in. The people behind the desk were chatting and we stood near the desk in hopes they may ask us if we needed help after already being in the store for about 10 mins. I get not wanting to hassle customers which I do appreciate, but a simple , "Hi, how are you"? would have been nice or once standing right by the desk an offer for assistance then would've been nice. I didn't want to bother anyone so walked out. read more

Recently went in to Instock Flooring for carpet for our daughter's newly finished basement. They had "very little" selection for "in stock". If you're looking for a certain color, forget it. This place is good for builders that are not so picky about type carpet and color or, if you don't mind waiting for what they have on the display cards. Other than that people were friendly and helpful. read more

I was really excited to find my kitchen backsplash today at Instock Flooring. I thought they were very helpful, especially when I had them floor my entire house in 2015/16...until today. I walked in their showroom and said hello to the guys behind the counter, but they both looked at me and then back at their computers. I figured they were busy and didn't think anything of it, but after 25 minutes of going through their samples without any assistance, I became annoyed and inevitably left without any answers. Maybe the timing on a Monday afternoon was not the best, but maybe the big box store gets the money this time around. read more

If you enjoy getting scammed by local business, then stop what you're doing and quickly head to Instock Flooring in Salem. The owner's son (Sam Cloutier) witnessed us paying $22,305 for his cabinets (contractor subsequently invoiced $16,200) and is now withholding them because the contractor had previous debt with him. If he accepted our order why would he then hold our cabinets hostage? We paid up front and in full. Does this business practice feel fair and equitable to you? read more

Amazing! We recently bought carpet and had it installed from them and they were amazing. The carpet is aweosme! The Colors fit perfectly thanks to them helping me pick the colors. There employees were extremely helpful and installed the carpet very quickly and efficiently. Great place! read more

I was in the market for a decent quality carpet at a good price with a quick turn around. I had stopped at several competitors in the area including the big box stores. They were either to expensive, couldn't hit the timeline or just lacked knowledge. After speaking to one of there associated I felt this was the right move. They were knowledgeable and able to hit all requirement I needed. The turn around was as promised. The bonus, the install crew showed up on time, very professional and efficient on the job. I will use them again without question! read more

I have had a bad experience with In Stock Flooring also. Customer service is awful once a purchase is made they don't take any responsibility for mistakes made on their end and play the blame game and do nothing to rectify the problem. read more

When our new house was built we used Instock Flooring and they were great both with sales and installation. We decided to get a quote to have the master bathroom shower tiled. My wife and I met with Conor on December 6 2019. We picked what we wanted for tile and I sent Conor an e-mail with the dimensions and a picture of the shower for reference. He said he would me a rough estimate in about a week. I contacted him on January 9 2020 to see where my estimate was and he stated that he was sorry for the delay and had one more estimate to finish up and mine would be ready in a few days. It is now February 3 2020 and still no estimate. read more

It's been our pleasure to have Instock Flooring provide services for our home in Salem. They were excellent to work with when we built our home a couple of years ago, and today we were wow-ed again with how quickly they responded to an issue with our shower tile. To say they stand by their work is an understatement. I contacted them at 10am about an issue with our custom shower, they had it resolved by the afternoon. Instock Flooring is one of those premium vendors that actually delivers quality instead of just talking about it. read more

While the people were nice to work with at the start and helpful in the design process, the overall price for tile and install were far above other competitors. They agreed to match the material costs, so I purchased the tile with them in the end but they have since refused to deliver the materials I have purchase because they did not get 'more' business. The exact quote in e-mail is: 'We are extremely busy, and need all hands on deck in the warehouse. Please keep in mind that when we discussed delivery, we were under the impression we were getting your other flooring work. ' What type of business refuses to deliver product that has been purchased and agreed to be delivered because they didn't get 'more' business??? Absolutely unacceptable behavior for a business. read more

Sadly would have to agree with poor customer service. They do not work well with outside contractors and good luck if they made an error on your order. read more

Just completed a Kitchen Remodel. I found the experience her to be great..Joe in cabinets and Chris with the flooring...Quality product, quality installation. While they do work with builders quite a bit, they do a great job with retail customers. read more

sales associates were very nice, great selection, now the bad part. customer service is not good. I purchased vinyl plank flooring and was going to get my own installer, installer cancelled on me at the last minute so I went back and asked if they could get me an installer, clerk says, no problem but it may be a couple of weeks, let me look at the schedule and i'll email you in the next day or 2. this was on Saturday, on Thursday I called to inquire about the schedule. I was told, "I was just looking at your file" 5 days later? Then I was assured that I would get a call or email in the next day or 2. 7 days later I call again. "Oh we were just looking at your file , looks like at least 2 weeks before we can get you on the schedule, now we're talking 4 weeks or more. I asked to speak to the owner and was told that the owner doesn't speak to customers. All I can say is "Customer service" isn't a PRIORITY at this store! read more
