The experience started with a crew that was gone more than in my home! They did not pick up after themselves and did not put any tarp or plastic down to try to catch some of the sawdust from their cutting wood. Literally every surface in my home needs cleaning. The owner has not contacted me to see if I was satisfied. The only good thing is that the end product looks nice. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company. Chris and his crew did an excellent job on our floors in Bedford NH After getting a quote for one company for 1800 more, we hired C and C. They replaced a couple of hard wood area with deep stains in them, sanded and finished 3 rooms. Very little to no dust. Cleaned up and finished in 3 days Highly recommend them. read more

The communication and manners of this company were appalling. First, they sent the bid to the wrong email address then accused me of not paying my deposit timely. I was then told to communicate with them before 4:00 pm. I did that, but the woman running the office had "left for the day" so we missed my start day. They did go out of their way to start my project over the weekend when my closing was delayed, but then the owner showed up at my house several days later, demanding payment when they sent the invoice to the wrong email address (again). I also questioned whether or not the information they had given me about having needed to do contiguous spaces since they skipped a small bathroom (my fault) and it looked fine. That led to a lengthy email about how I was a "suspicious " customer. If you're looking for a professional service, I do not recommend. read more

I wouldn't hire anyone else to do the job. Chris, Ryan and the rest of the team are fantastic. We hired them for a large project in Marblehead, MA for our three story, 300-year-old home. They refinished original painted floors, installed new wide pine to match, built a staircase and created a custom stain color for us. It was not an easy job, but the results have completely transformed our home. They consistently went above and beyond. Professional, trustworthy and highly skilled. Communication and honesty are not their strong attributes. Planning is also a little weak, but that goes under their communication. The owner (Chris Coburn) is disrespectful and intimidated my wife and demanded a key to our home. C&C never provided a time (only a day) of when they would start the first day of work. The end of the first day, my wife asked what time to expect them the following day, and she was given a time of "no earlier than 8:30am". The following morning my wife (and toddler) were greeted by a crew that came earlier than was expected and my wife was busy with our toddler and could not get to the door quickly. So they had to wait until she could get our toddler sorted out and open the door. The owner (Chris Coburn) came to our door knocking repeatedly. My wife was in the middle of changing our toddler's diaper and asked the Owner to wait as she was changing our toddler's diaper. Chris Coburn continued to knock but in a more aggressive manner. My wife stopped changing the diaper, let him into our home (the in-law, not the rest of the house where the work was being done) and she went back to finish changing the diaper while he waited. Chris Coburn then cast blame that my wife was killing his business for making his crew wait (maybe 5 min?), despite the fact that not one person that plans the logistics and appointments ever communicated when a crew would arrive. He also demanded a key to our house ("you need to give me a key so my guys can come in") which is concerning. Don't know the owner or his crew members. Also, While visiting to generate a quote, Chris Coburn informed that if we did not want base boards to be damaged that we could apply some painters tape (1") where the baseboard meets the floor. When the crew sanded and applied finish there were sections that had the tape removed with no notification to us. Some paint chipping did take place on the base boards which is creating more work for us as there are baseboards we did not plan to paint at all. Some of the rooms we are painting over and those baseboards can be touched up which is still an inconvenience. The crew was fine, they were nice. A cordial crew does not equate to quality workmanship and skill. They did miss some spots when they applied the final coat and they had to come back to re-coat a couple sections. I would not recommend this company. Att Update 3-8-2018 I reached out to C&C Flooring using the email address that was provided in response to my post. The email was sent on 2-22-2018. Wasn't going to post a review but the company continues to repeatedly request customers to post on Yelp. Had to refinish and stain our entire house first and second floors -- they sanded and stained and applied 3 coats of poly. Shortly thereafter there were significant swirls throughout with missed areas of stain along the baseboard. Not sure why this wouldn't have been caught even after the first coat of poly was applied. The short of it all is that they came back and redid the project and admitted their error. Quality control though is a huge concern. Would seek others for future projects. read more
