The Service: Very helpful and friendly service. The Plants: They have clearance sections 50% off, if you have green thumb and see some potential of those plants to come alive again, definitely check it out. They always have limited-time deals, pay attention to those signs. The Parking: Huge parking lot.

I asked them to cut all the boards to 36" height. The tallest is 37" and the shortest is 35.75" ‍

Horrible cutting service. I asked for boards to be cut at 36". The tallest one is 37" and the shortest is 35.75". Now I have to reload them and have them fix it or fix it myself. The whole point of getting them cut there is so I wouldn't have to deal with cutting at home ‍

Slow customer service. Waited 15 minutes to do an exchange. Ridiculous. Two working on one issue while we waited.

As someone who has been watching woodworking videos online for a long time and just starting to get…read moreinto the hobby it was a great experience. The people are friendly and helpful, and it helped me feel less intimidated to ask about things. Some stuff to know for beginners like me. First if you're getting wood bring a measuring tape, they have some there too if you need. There is a finished lumber section in the back, lots of S4S lumber of different varieties that you can choose from. Theres a desk in that corner where you tell the people what you want and how to cut it. They give a couple free cuts with each purchase. For the long pieces that are standing up, you can ask for them to cut a piece and put the rest back, but only if the piece you put back is 8ft or longer. The 'B' means they charge by board foot. Its really easy to calculate, they have signs with the calculation, 'L' means they charge by the foot. For sheet goods like plywood, you park your car at a number in the back past the gate. Then you ask someone at one of the counters for what you want. You are also free to walk into the big warehouse outside the building in the back to look around at the sheet goods. You buy the plywood at one of the counters and tell them how you want it cut up. They'll give you a paper after you pay that you take to the booth in the back. You tell them what number you are parked at, then someone will go get the wood, cut it up, and deliver it to your car. Overall I'm really happy with the experience and am looking forward for a chance to go again. I managed to fit two 8.5ft long boards into my suv along with other various goods. It barely fit but now I'm excited to have lots of wood to work with.

I shop here occasionally as I am just a guy that does my own home projects…read more I am getting ready to build a new front porch on my house and went in to look at the composite deck options and get samples to bring home to the wife. The section where they have the decking displays was in complete disarray. There were boxes everywhere. No organization at all. I had a difficult time finding the samples and nobody at all paid any attention to me. I finally got the attention of someone to assist, but he seemed to be in a rush and I don't think I got all the samples I wanted. I then asked this person about a miter saw I was interested in and he seemed oblivious to what I was asking him. All I wanted to know was if they had a new one in the box available. All I saw was the floor display. He then just told me to ask someone at the desk. If I wanted service like this, I would just go to Home Depot!

I prefer Lowes over Home Depot. Lowes stores are cleaner and the parking lot is less chaotic. I…read morehave recently written how Lowes offers a no paper receipt option at checkout. This reduces trash and saves them money that can be passed on to the customer. However, HD sells small hickory wood logs to use in a smoker. Lowes only sells chunks. I dragged the 30 lbs. of wood to the register and went through the payment process. When I asked if there was a no receipt option, the person working there said, don't worry, it will give you one." I proceeded to throw it away in the trash can as I left. There is no need in most cases to produce a paper receipt. I have an account with HD, give me the electronic option there.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service and the repeated logistical failures…read moreI experienced with this order. I placed the order approximately three weeks in advance of the requested delivery date. Two days before the scheduled delivery, I proactively contacted customer service to confirm the delivery window and make sure there would be no issues with the drop-off. Despite that, I subsequently received communication indicating that the delivery might arrive outside of the confirmed window. I immediately contacted customer service again and was assured that there should not be an issue. Shortly afterward, I received a call from the delivery driver stating that they were about to deliver the order--even though I had specifically indicated that the order could not be delivered at that time. From there, what should have been a simple logistics issue turned into approximately eight separate back-and-forth phone calls and four rescheduled delivery attempts. Each time, I was given assurances about what could be done to resolve the situation, only to have those commitments subsequently walked back or changed. Ultimately, the delivery was rescheduled to the exact day I needed the supplies on site. This created a significant disruption to my project and put my contractor's schedule at risk. The most frustrating aspect is that I did everything I reasonably could to prevent this situation. I placed the order well in advance and proactively contacted customer service before the delivery specifically to confirm that everything was in order. After all of these failures, the proposed resolution was to waive the $80 delivery fee and provide a $200 credit on an approximately $3,000 order. While I appreciate the gesture, it does not adequately address the amount of time, inconvenience, disruption, and frustration caused by the repeated failures in communication and logistics. This was not a single mistake--it was a series of preventable failures at multiple points in the process, compounded by inconsistent information from customer service and a lack of effective ownership of the problem. I should not have had to make approximately eight calls and repeatedly explain the same situation simply to get a delivery handled according to the arrangements that had already been made. By comparison, I had a significantly better experience with Lowe's, where their staff did a phenomenal job helping me locate and purchase the supplies I needed for immediate pickup. That allowed my contractor to stay on schedule and complete the work as planned. As someone who manages a business myself, I find this level of customer service unacceptable. If I or someone on my team handled a customer situation this way--particularly after the customer had proactively taken steps to prevent the problem--I would expect there to be serious accountability for the failure. This experience has completely undermined my confidence in your company. Unfortunately, based on the way this situation was handled from beginning to end, I will not be doing business with you again. The issue was not simply that the delivery went wrong; it was the repeated failure to communicate accurately, follow through on commitments, take ownership of the problem, and provide an effective solution when there were multiple opportunities to do so.
