This is one of the hidden gems in Torrance and the South Bay. You can't miss their sign when you're driving down Hawthorne! They have a nursery here and they have a very wide selection of plants! I'd say they're known for their variety of staghorn ferns and air plants but they also have monsteras and other popular house plants. Everything is priced very reasonably. This is a great place to get gifts for friends and family. They are very professional and helpful. They're very patient and answered all my questions when it came to taking care of my staghorn fern. I loved mine so much that I came back a few weeks later to pick up a second one. One of the best things about this place is their koi ponds! They have two inside! You can buy fish food for $3 and feed them at your leisure. It's perfect for kids. For those who own staghorn ferns, they also help with remounting them when they get too big but you'll need to contact them directly and see if the service is available. read more

Rainforest Flora in Torrance was absolutely worth the drive. From the moment we arrived and entered the nursery, it felt amazing--almost like walking into a tropical oasis. The whole place was very clean, well-organized, and full of healthy plants. Their prices were also very reasonable and affordable. I was able to get some Bromeliad Fireball and Alcantarea imperialis for a great price. The staff was professional, friendly, and very informative, which made the visit even better. This is a great place to stop by even if you don't plan on getting a plant. You can tell the owner really loves plants because the central display is so lovely and well cared for. This place is a hidden gem! We went looking for plants for our front yard. There are lots of air plants, great gifts for those friends who have everything and a low maintenance plant. We received an education by the staff! Also, there is a koi pond with lots of turtles to check out. It really is a rainforest! Best hidden garden in Torrance & South Bay This is honestly free therapy! Staff is always friendly and helpful. Great spot to stop for a quick gift for friends or coworkers. They have Koi fish and a waterfall, complete with Turtles who hang out on the rocks and shore of the pond. They have a wide variety of air plants, staghorn ferns, different varieties of alocasia, and so many endless options of green leaf friends. I have visited many times without purchasing anything and just enjoyed walking around and taking in the traquil vibrations and energy. Hands down my favorite plant store in the area! I love walking through this place. The workers are always so inviting and are always so knowledgeable about the plants. They have a great variety of plants. I have a few indoor plants from this store and they are thriving. The store has waterfalls and pond in the back of the store, which makes it so tranquil. We saw some nice air plants and beautiful floral arrangements and plants that were reasonably priced. We are going to go back and grab some when we move to our new home. It's a tropical paradise in a greenhouse located in an unassuming spot on a busy street. We've driven by this place for many years and never really noticed it as it blends into the background on a busy street and it's very easy to miss the small entrance/driveway. It wasn't until we were looking for a place to purchase a tropical plants did we realize it is located in the heart of Torrance. I'm not sure of the entire place is open to the public but the first greenhouse (from the street) is a something everyone should at least stop by to see when in the area. The design is far from the typical nursery and mimics a tropical, picturesque paradise retreat full of air plants, orchids and other unique looking plants that surrounds a waterfall and koi pond with turtles that you can feed for a quarter (fish/turtle food can be purchased from a "gumball" vending machine). Hard to find air plants in California. This place has so many air plants, it was amazing!!

Such a fun place to spend some time! We went an hour before they closed and just walked around - the whole setup with the walking path is great and we were able to take some pictures of some very unique plants. Favorite was definitely the pond with the huge koi and some very big tropical plants! In terms of plants to buy, there really wasn't much when we went, and the price is closer to retail rather than wholesale nursery. They had a huge area next to the walking path that was closed off so we didn't see all of it. Still just a fun place to see some unique plants and experience the greenhouse they have set up! read more

Guys, this place is beautiful. It has some of the most beautiful plants for sight. There's a lovely little rainforest on the inside. Koi fish and turtles greet you at the pond. You can buy food for them for $1. Lots of indoor plants to buy. But, I think people who love plants, or people who are beginner plant parents won't exactly agree with the costumer service here. If you come to get a plant that fits perfect for you house, do your research prior to coming. The staff isn't as acknowledgeable about plants as I'd hope for. They even told me the wrong names for my plants. And they didn't offer any advice for watering. After getting vague names for my plants, I decided they aren't here to offer you plant info help. So I bought my plants and asked my other local plant places. I probably won't be coming back. But if you're in the area, pls take a look. It's def picturesque. read more

This is a brumeliad "air plant" place, but they do have a few other things like ferns and the nice plant in the picture. Such a beautiful and nice place. It's captivating, just walking in here makes you feel like you're in a rain forest/ tropical environment. You will definitely find some hidden gems here. You can feed the turtle and the fish. Something about being there just feels so relaxing. I wish I lived closer so I can be a frequent visitor but it's definitely worth the drive. Such a beautiful place! I walked in and was pleasantly surprised at the massive displays of plants they have. It truly does feel like you're walking through a rainforest!! There are benches across a koi pond you can sit and relax at in the back as well. The rock structure in the pond has gorgeous lush greenery in and all around it. It's a quiet, peaceful place to come take a stroll and destress. Not much in terms of stock since they specialize in air plants.. but they sure have lots of different sizes and shapes of air plants -- all clearly labeled with descriptions so you know what you're getting.
