OMG! I have been collecting Plumerias for over 30 years and can't believe I had never been here! It is basically 3 football fields of Plumerias! Every size, color and quality imaginable. I met Norma one of the owners and she was the sweetest lady that truly enjoys what she does. Pay cash, better deal. I paid between $25 and $30 for 1-2 gallon pots that were EXTREEMLY rare. Would have been $49 at the local nurseries. I will NEVER go anywhere else, goin back next week lol read more

It's quite a long and narrow nursery with lots of inventory. I wasn't sure where to start although I did notice a couple of sheds and a camper. You will not see signage nor necessarily expect to have anyone initiate conversation. If you choose to wander the larger plant pots are sometimes labeled with identification stickers or tags but no prices. Otherwise you can head to the camper behind all the cars to find someone to ask questions. A lot of the staff are moving about the grounds so you may not experience a greeting. I did not take it personally and enjoyed looking around on my own. I found an item and carried it to the camper. I was told the 5 gallon colocasia would be $25, a less mature plant but a decent price compared to other places I've visited. The gentleman who helped me with my transaction was very helpful and provided excellent directions for care light and water in winter and summer. Huge amount of plumeria varieties as well. You may want to call or stop at the trailer to get prices before you start exploring so you don't have to go back and forth. Cute little Merle mix dog came by for a hello. If you like the full customer service experience this might not be for you, but I'm happy to return for selection and price. ok read more

I purchased a "C Stars Nursery plumeria plant (5 gallon pot) yesterday from Costco (July 6, 2024). I got ripped off. We removed it from the black plastic nursery pot with extreme care, but there WERE NO ROOTs. We had purchased plumeria cutting, NOT a plumeria plant. Shame on C Stars, and shame on Costco for selling it. read more

Amstrong Gardens brought me here, lol. While checking out some avocado trees at Amstrong, I saw the name of the wholesaler so I looked it up and happened to pass by the area for 15 minutes. It's a wholesale nursery that opens to the public. It's very long and they allow customer to drive from one end to another to look for plants. They are specialized in plumeria but they also have hundreds of other plants to choose from. Many pots don't have labels so it's hard to tell the names of the varieties. Maybe you need to call in to ask for price while cruising around because the workers are very busy with their wholesaler tasks and many of them don't speak English well. If you don't have time to wander around, check with the office first to know which area they put the plants that you're looking for. I drove to the end toward Vernon Ave to check on some avocado trees. They had good selections (Sir Prize, Holiday, Carmen, Pinkerton,...), 5 gallon and 15 gallon trees in stock. If I remember correctly, it's only $35 for the 5 gallon trees (same tree but $50 at Armstrong, I think). read more

A great Nursery with a lot of variety. There selection and quality are the best I have seen. Very friendly staff.

It's been almost 2 years since we picked up a bunch of plants and a tree for our front yard, and our plants are holding up nice and strong. The owners were helpful in getting us just the right plants for our west-facing home. Prices were good too! They answered all of our questions and told us which plants wouldn't do so well in all day sun. Sure, you can save a few bucks buying at a big chain, but you also won't get the same attention and customer service. Skip the rest, folks. C Stars Nursery is where it's at. read more

Wonderful family-run business with a great selection of tropical plants. Worked with a gentleman named Jose who also runs the stall at our local weekly Farmer's Market--- he couldn't have been more friendly, helpful & knowledgeable, and we found the exact trees and plants we were looking for to landscape our backyard. I have seen the quality of their plants and by the most part are pretty decent. However as a consumer they have horrible customer service. First off the few times I've called they answer the phone 'hello' without any type of clue as to the business you have just called. Secondly I've called a few times to ask if they carry a specific type of plant the answer is 'I don't know' Really ! I know this place is more than likely family owned and operated as most are but I think it's extremely important to have someone answer the phone that has even a slight knowledge of what they have. They could take a lesson from Centenos and MB nursery as they will be able to tell you what is and what is not available at their yard. 2 stars and I'm being generous. read more

Drove out to Gardena from Laguna. Well worth the drive. I was looking for a Japanese Maple and found one that was a perfect size and about 1/3 the cost of what I'd been seeing. The main thing about this place is their plumerias. Literally acres of them! So glad I drove out there! read more
