I had a lot of fun here. I bought a beautiful purple freesia. It had such a wonderful scent. I also bought a miniature navel orange tree and Meyer lemon tree. I got them both for $45 each, a lot less than other nurseries wanting to charge over $100 for each. Of course the trees I bought were a little smaller but they grow! Saved money buying smaller ones. read more

Lucky to have them in our neighborhood. Our hibiscus plant we got from here is thriving. They have a good selection of succulents and planters- and are our go-to spot for a housewarming gift. The staff is knowledgeable about growing conditions, lighting and watering and super helpful for packaging up the plants for transport. If you're looking for vegetables and herbs, they usually have them seasonally but not year-round. read more

I've had two great experiences at Lucky Plants. The first time, I went in looking for a couple good hanging plants for my patio that gets a lot of sunlight. They recommended two to me. It's been almost a year later and they are thriving. When I left they blocked traffic to help me back out of my spot into the busy street! The second time I went in for a pot and some soil. I asked for advice about my monstera plant and they said to bring it in. They repotted and staked two of my large plants for me! read more

They are Outstanding! They really take the time to find the type of plants you want. They will ask you about location, Sun or Shade and the type of soil you prefer to use. Also if you are using Pots or in the ground. I highly recommend them. It may look small from the street however they actually go way back. read more

Sadly. After being a loyal customer for well over a decade, I will no longer support Lucky plants. I've bought hundreds of plants from this plant store as I was a fan of the selection and extremely grateful for the kindness that the Latino gentleman has always shown me as a customer.... But today I returned to the store with a plant I had purchased just a couple days ago.. after a few hours at my home the plant went into shock and all of the leaves completely fell off and the plant was completely bare - within hours all its life had disappeared. I took the plant back, with my $133.00 receipt in hand and the woman who works there and normally helps me with my selection kind of shrugged at my return when I showed her the plant. She dismissed me by saying if I wanted to replace it she would give me 50% off a new plant... I was shocked!!! Why wouldn't she just replace the $11.99 plant or offer a refund? I've spent thousands of dollars in this store, the least you could do was give me a refund. I wasn't asking for anything free so it was absolutely ridiculous to think that it is ok to not provide support or customer service for the plant that had not been in my care for longer than 48 hours. Well, they lost a loyal Customer and I suggest going to Home Depot over this place... sadly, not the best selection but at least the principal and integrity of the customer experience is respected. As much as I want to Shop Small and support small businesses , it's companies like this that make it easy to walk away from ! Stopped by here in the morning and was super impressed by the selection. They have LOTS of indoor and outdoor plant options. I was particularly impressed by all of the Pothos. Everything was very well maintained and I felt like I could stay here all day. Overall, we got four small plants (Pothos, prayer plant, golden prince, and a peperomia watermelon) for about $32. Definitely would love to come back for some new pots or if I need an arrangement made! They truly have everything from flowers to large plants perfect for your yard. Shop local! read more

How have I not written a review yet? I love this little plant shop. The owners are always really kind and helpful and the prices are the best in the area. They aren't somewhere to go for "rare" or "special" plants but if you're looking for hardy, easy houseplants they're perfect. Lots of pothos and snake plants. The lady accidentally charged me $10 too much last time I was there and rushed to the car to refund me when she realized. They also have beautiful succulent bowls that make excellent gifts and big, showy orchids. One of my favorite shops in Los Angeles and worth supporting. read more

This place is such a gem! We stopped by here on a whim and we're so glad we did. They have a big selection of beautiful and healthy indoor & outdoor plants. Everything is very reasonably priced and the owners are very nice. I picked up a Golden Pothos and a Pothos N Joy today. Both plants are perfectly healthy and they only costed me $14 total. Plants here are nice but the owners don't have much wiggle room on price. Even if you buy a bulk order and there is freak weather there is nothing they will do to help you out. Just do your own research on all plants you buy and come in with a list of questions or don't bulk buy plants. No labels on the plants and no instructions on how to care for them. read more

I kept driving past this place, but somehow didn't see it. They had a great selection of plants, and what I really needed: affordable pots! They were quick to explain the the initial pot I chose didn't have drainage and explained why another one might be a better choice. The fella told me they'd been there for 27 years. One was a big kentia palm which I wasn't sure would stay alive since I don't always have time to care for it but it's held up nice. My only complaint is that initially, I got gnats from the plants but I swapped out the soil in a couple of them and it's been fine since. read more

Beautiful local nursery. I buy all my plants from here, indoor and outdoor and they are so much healthier than anything you can find at Home Depot or Lowe's. The prices are super fair and the owners are lovely and care so much for their plants. I've gotten great tomato and strawberry plants from here, bird of Paradies for my yard, a beautiful fiddle leaf and so much more. Can't recommend this nursery enough. Shop local! read more

I bought several larger plants in a hurry. The aggressive male owner was pushy to sell fertilizer which I didn't need. After I waited for a long time, no one seemed to help me to carry the plants to my car. Since I was running out of my time, I ended up wrapping the plants on my own and loading them onto a cart as the owner wife stood there watching me. She was not only helpful but also spoke to me in a rude manner to return the cart back when I am done. An older male worker was kind and helpful. He was the only one there who could communicate normally and treated me like a customer. I should have gone to our go-to nursery even though the price was higher. This negative experience was not worth the lower pricing. I will not go back there again. read more

The pricing was unbelievable - the haul I left with would have easily run me 3-400 at Home Depot - I spent less than $200. They also helped me load my car and lined my trunk so it wouldn't get dirty. These people are professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly and I cannot recommend them enough. I will be back for all my landscaping from now on. Today was my first time visiting and they have made a lifelong customer of me.

I loved mine so much that I came back a few weeks later to pick up a second one. One of the best things about this place is their koi ponds! They have two inside! You can buy fish food for $3 and feed them at your leisure. It's perfect for kids. For those who own staghorn ferns, they also help with remounting them when they get too big but you'll need to contact them directly and see if the service is available.

The ones that stood out to me (and will one day purchase) are their philodendron white wizards (they had 5-7 of them), alocasia stingrays, alocasia frydek, alocasia polly, and alocasia regal shield. Also, if you're looking for rarer plants, you probably won't find it here. They mainly had generic plants and trees. We came for milkweeds, and got a small butterfly weed plant for only $3 (they only had butterfly weed subspecies though). We also took a look at their roses, and some were only $13 for a pot! Plants were all well watered and not browning or wilting. Near chick fil a and denny's. We parked on the street and walked over. All in all, large nursery with great prices, but limited plant types. We will definitely be back for our plants in the future though!
