I had a lot of fun here. I bought a beautiful purple freesia. It had such a wonderful scent. I also bought a miniature navel orange tree and Meyer lemon tree. I got them both for $45 each, a lot less than other nurseries wanting to charge over $100 for each. Of course the trees I bought were a little smaller but they grow! Saved money buying smaller ones. read more

I've had two great experiences at Lucky Plants. The first time, I went in looking for a couple good hanging plants for my patio that gets a lot of sunlight. They recommended two to me. It's been almost a year later and they are thriving. When I left they blocked traffic to help me back out of my spot into the busy street! The second time I went in for a pot and some soil. I asked for advice about my monstera plant and they said to bring it in. They repotted and staked two of my large plants for me! read more

This is such a gem! Slow down or you'll miss it cute little nursery with an assortment of indoor plants, annuals and perennials. Everyone was so kind and helpful and I finally found the perennials I wanted for my garden. They even helped me load up my azaleas. The prices are insanely reasonable! Lucky to have them in our neighborhood. Our hibiscus plant we got from here is thriving. They have a good selection of succulents and planters- and are our go-to spot for a housewarming gift. The staff is knowledgeable about growing conditions, lighting and watering and super helpful for packaging up the plants for transport. If you're looking for vegetables and herbs, they usually have them seasonally but not year-round. read more

Sadly. After being a loyal customer for well over a decade, I will no longer support Lucky plants. I've bought hundreds of plants from this plant store as I was a fan of the selection and extremely grateful for the kindness that the Latino gentleman has always shown me as a customer.... But today I returned to the store with a plant I had purchased just a couple days ago.. after a few hours at my home the plant went into shock and all of the leaves completely fell off and the plant was completely bare - within hours all its life had disappeared. I took the plant back, with my $133.00 receipt in hand and the woman who works there and normally helps me with my selection kind of shrugged at my return when I showed her the plant. She dismissed me by saying if I wanted to replace it she would give me 50% off a new plant... I was shocked!!! Why wouldn't she just replace the $11.99 plant or offer a refund? I've spent thousands of dollars in this store, the least you could do was give me a refund. I wasn't asking for anything free so it was absolutely ridiculous to think that it is ok to not provide support or customer service for the plant that had not been in my care for longer than 48 hours. Well, they lost a loyal Customer and I suggest going to Home Depot over this place... sadly, not the best selection but at least the principal and integrity of the customer experience is respected. As much as I want to Shop Small and support small businesses , it's companies like this that make it easy to walk away from ! Stopped by here in the morning and was super impressed by the selection. They have LOTS of indoor and outdoor plant options. I was particularly impressed by all of the Pothos. Everything was very well maintained and I felt like I could stay here all day. Overall, we got four small plants (Pothos, prayer plant, golden prince, and a peperomia watermelon) for about $32. Definitely would love to come back for some new pots or if I need an arrangement made! They truly have everything from flowers to large plants perfect for your yard. Shop local! read more

How have I not written a review yet? I love this little plant shop. The owners are always really kind and helpful and the prices are the best in the area. They aren't somewhere to go for "rare" or "special" plants but if you're looking for hardy, easy houseplants they're perfect. Lots of pothos and snake plants. The lady accidentally charged me $10 too much last time I was there and rushed to the car to refund me when she realized. They also have beautiful succulent bowls that make excellent gifts and big, showy orchids. One of my favorite shops in Los Angeles and worth supporting. read more

This place is such a gem! We stopped by here on a whim and we're so glad we did. They have a big selection of beautiful and healthy indoor & outdoor plants. Everything is very reasonably priced and the owners are very nice. I picked up a Golden Pothos and a Pothos N Joy today. Both plants are perfectly healthy and they only costed me $14 total. I love this place and will definitely be back :) read more

Plants here are nice but the owners don't have much wiggle room on price. Even if you buy a bulk order and there is freak weather there is nothing they will do to help you out. Just do your own research on all plants you buy and come in with a list of questions or don't bulk buy plants. No labels on the plants and no instructions on how to care for them. read more

I kept driving past this place, but somehow didn't see it. They had a great selection of plants, and what I really needed: affordable pots! They were quick to explain the the initial pot I chose didn't have drainage and explained why another one might be a better choice. The fella told me they'd been there for 27 years. I love supporting the mom & pop places! Will be back here when it's time to repot. read more

One was a big kentia palm which I wasn't sure would stay alive since I don't always have time to care for it but it's held up nice. My only complaint is that initially, I got gnats from the plants but I swapped out the soil in a couple of them and it's been fine since. read more

Beautiful local nursery. I buy all my plants from here, indoor and outdoor and they are so much healthier than anything you can find at Home Depot or Lowe's. The prices are super fair and the owners are lovely and care so much for their plants. I've gotten great tomato and strawberry plants from here, bird of Paradies for my yard, a beautiful fiddle leaf and so much more. Can't recommend this nursery enough. Shop local! read more

I bought several larger plants in a hurry. The aggressive male owner was pushy to sell fertilizer which I didn't need. After I waited for a long time, no one seemed to help me to carry the plants to my car. Since I was running out of my time, I ended up wrapping the plants on my own and loading them onto a cart as the owner wife stood there watching me. She was not only helpful but also spoke to me in a rude manner to return the cart back when I am done. An older male worker was kind and helpful. He was the only one there who could communicate normally and treated me like a customer. I should have gone to our go-to nursery even though the price was higher. This negative experience was not worth the lower pricing. I will not go back there again. read more

It is rare to get this level of service years after a purchase, and I really appreciated the follow through. I am concerned about the pricing a bit I think maybe wait for a flyer as it seems like they may have better deals there than in person as the trees we bought were quite pricey. We do love our trees so far though. They setup our appointment and delivered and installed very quickly, maybe an hour or two for two 48" box trees to be installed on the appointment day. The only couple of complaints I have are that the day of the appointment for install they parked the truck with the trees next to one of the trees growing by the sidewalk and when they unloaded the tree a few branches did break, thankfully it was minimal damage but it could have been avoided. Also we tried a couple times to setup buying flowers in bulk for our garden and they said they would call us back when they had them and simply never called back. So if you want a mature tree they've got you covered but the smaller stuff that probably nets less profit may be a no go here.

I found out about this place after driving down Hawthorne blvd and actually read the store name. Since I drive the street regularly, I never read the store names. They have lots of plants and feel like they have more variety than home depot. They have colorful potteries and various shapes and sizes. They laid out their plants and accessories super neatly! There's lots of parking in the back and sometimes Hawthorne blvd gets backed up so might be hard to get out of the parking lot. Will be coming back for more plants for my office cubicle!

It's not your average retreat but a hidden gem, an enchanted garden, a place of deliverance and peace. Barbara definitely knows her stuff, not only was unlike any experience I ever had it was honoring, therapeutic and healing. The women are still praising me for sharing this treasure. If you're looking to get grounded in your truth I highly recommend this space. 5 stars is not enough.

You feel peace…read morethe second you walk into the space and are greeted by the wonderful owner, Barbara, who truly made this experience something I will never forget. She makes you feel at home and calm as soon as you start speaking to her. I really could have stayed all day with her just chatting about life. I went to Meet Me in the Dirt for the Signature class and loved every second of it. Every step of the class is a distinctive and special process that all comes together in the end. If you are someone who is looking for a wholesome and healing experience, this is the place for you. I went in not knowing anything about the experience and I truly believe that is the best way to really feel it all. Barbara guides you through the whole thing and my best advice is to really lean in and be open through every step of the way. I did a one on one experience which I'm grateful for but this would also be a great day to hang with a girlfriend or a group of friends. Thank you for this magnificent experience, Barbara! I really cannot wait to come back.
