Placed an order today. Was sent a text that part of the order had been cancelled. Their website said it couldn't look up the order. I called customer service. Their AI couldn't tell me what part was cancelled. Finally talked to a rep but by that time the partial order was already on the move to me. No chance to have them replace it with a different product and this is a very easily replaced item. No call or text to select a replacement part. Now I cannot finish the project because the part won't fit in my car and I'm not paying another $70-$80 for delivery. Supervisor I spoke with did nothing to make things right. This is a review of Lowe's Home Improvement online. I ordered a lawnmower and received acknowledgement from Lowe's, and how they would keep me informed every step of the way. Six days later nothing. I contacted customer service to inquire. Found my order but could not provide any info. I waited on hold while they tried to contact the seller/shipper but they were not taking calls and customer service had no other means to contact??? Advised to try again tomorrow. Contacted customer service the next day and the representative attempted to contact the shipper again without any results. But she did tell me that it was out for delivery that day. Nope. Called the next AM and got apologies and again no luck contacting shipper/provider (AMBO Sales) at which point I requested to cancel the order. After she consulted her supervisor I was told that I couldn't cancel since the shipper had acknowledged the order. At this point I advised the representative that I would dispute the charge and that I was buying a mower locally. Lowe's kept pending charge on my credit card for another 4 days before sending me a email stating that the item was temporarily out of stock. The manager showed a complete lack of effort and professionalism -- they were dismissive and rude when I asked for help. Went in today to purchase a water purifying system for the house and a reverse osmosis system to have clean water to drink. Pushed the help button 6 times and nobody came to help. I finally found an associate to help and all she did was tell me where I could find the systems. She didn't attempt to help but said she'd call someone. Waited forever but nobody came. I asked for a manager, not to get anyone in trouble but to simply suggest better service would be appreciated. Manager was taking too long to come out so I simply left. Service continues to be top notch at this location. The staff goes out of their way to help you find the product you are looking for. There is alway stock of the items I need on hand and a variety of options to choose from. In addition to buying needed supplies, we have used them to install tile, laminate flooring, and carpet. We have also used them for painting and baseboard installation. Excellent experience each time. The locations are conveniently placed (including this one) and the products are well organized on the floor. If you have home improvement needs, then you can't go wrong with this place. read more

Based upon my last experience at Lowe's, I feel compelled to post a review. I had done quite a bit of research and ultimately bought a lawn mower. The customer service was very attentive, and they helped me to put in the order via their website so I could get the free battery plus by applying for their credit application I received an additional 10% off. I ended up getting what I needed at a ridiculously great price! Lowe's doesn't seem as frenetic as HD, and the team members that I dealt with were amazing. At least based upon my experience, I don't think that the overall low score is justified and unless I have to get something at HD, I'd shop at Lowe's. read more

Okay it's been a hellish two days trying to get appliances from this store. I chose my 3 items and set up for delivery on the 30 of September. Then I try to write a check but it was a high amount and they couldn't run it through. I was told they can't even run the pro's checks through on many days. Do they think they will be able to stay in business and compete with Home Depot who has run so many of my checks for multiple purchases easily through? They have a system in place that will not clear checks that are good. The only reason I'm going in with the cash to Lowe's to buy those items is that Kim had two hellish days trying to help me. She deserves my business but Lowe's get it together!!! I'm not happy about this at all. Salinas Lowe's has really good employees I must say. Kim's boss tried for an hour to work the inept machine. I'm writing this review STRICTLY to recognize one of the employees who helped my husband and I out. We went in with our old tub spout. We were looking for one that had the same features as our old one. We came upon an employee in the aisle. His name is CURTIS. He approached us and asked if he can assist us. My husband showed him our old spout and Curtis knew EXACTLY what we needed. He told us the manufacturer name and explained to us that there were issues with that particular part so another version of it was made. He was very knowledgeable and explained the new components about the piece to us. Curtis' customer service was beyond exceptional!!! He is a very valuable employee for Lowe's. His demeanor is very genuine and you can tell he absolutely LOVES his job! It's frustrating when we go into a store like Lowe's and the employees look at you like a deer in headlights when you ask a question. More often than not, we encounter employees that lack knowledge of the product they carry. It was refreshing to interact with someone who actually has knowledge of the area he was working in. I just want to applaud Curtis publicly because, quite often, employees like him are not recognized. He is a true gem! read more

One star, maybe less. We bought a shower door online and needed it installed. So we used Lowes online. I had no idea how disconnected the Salinas store was between online ordering and the Lowes installation services department. They don't talk. So there were several phone calls starting back in the beginning of October trying to get it done. They did send out someone to measure...then we never heard back weeks later. So, I call them and find out they had the wrong measurement but didn't call us, so we sorted that out. Then we didn't hear back from them again for a couple of weeks. So we called them again, they then told us we needed to come to the store to order the installation and pay for it upfront. We did. Well a couple of weeks later, when we didn't hear back, we called only to find out they didn't process the order because the glass falls into a higher category than we paid for, and they wanted us to come in again, and pay more. That was my last straw. I'd finally had enough, and cancelled. The worst type of employees, who don't care if they help their customers in that services department. read more

Very disappointed with our experience of trying to get a tile job done from this Lowe's. We've had several job done by the Gilroy location, and were always happy. Not so with Salinas. The person working in flooring was a young man, who clearly hadn't been fully trained. Multiple time he had to call someone else to ask how to complete our quote. It's post COVID, hard to find people to work, and those who do deserve patience. We place the order and wait. The installation was delayed once, but the company didn't bother to tell us they weren't arriving not 30 minutes after they were scheduled. Finally the install person arrives. He's wearing a mask that looks about a month old, hanging below his nose. A chin diaper, seemed like. He says there isn't enough tile for the job. The tile ordered was based on the measurements from Lowe's. I try calling to find out what happened and how to get the rest of the tile. Called get transferred around, endless minutes on hold, people just hanging up on me. Finally, a person from "Customer Service" takes a message and says the tile flooring sales guy (same one who took the order) will have to call me when he arrives. The call never came. Now, getting pretty upset, I call corporate Lowe's. They tell me they will escalate this to the store manager and copy the district manager, and I'll be called later in the day. 3 days pass, without a call. Okay, I'm over it now. I load the tile and supplies in the truck and return it Lowe's. They won't give a full refund, even though it's totally their fault. I'm out about $100, and several hours, including two days I took off for installation. My takeaway is, this location sucks and the store manager and district managers don't care. LOWES DOES NOT HONOR ITS CARPET CONTRACTS!!! DO NOT BUY CARPET FROM LOWES! I purchased carpet and installation on 5/16/2023 from store 2805, terminal 49, store manager J. Barbosa (this was printed on my receipt). Installation on May 26, 2023. Lowes did not honor the contract. I purchased carpet for 7 rooms to be updated and only half of the carpet was installed. On the installation description it clearly states 7 rooms to be updated, 2 bedrooms, 3 closets, hallway and living. Lowes did not send the correct amount of carpet to COMPLETE the job, MY LIVING ROOM DID NOT GET DONE!!!. In addition, Lowes sent a cheaper carpet pad with the installer. The installer was honest and went back to the store to get the correct carpet pad (medium grade). I HAVE SENT IN A COMPLAINT FOR RESOLUTION AND AM NOW BEING IGNORED! Next step, formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau. read more

We bought a GE refrigerator from Lowe's. It broke less than a year since we've had it. It leaked and caused us to get black mold all over the side of our pantry. Only reason we found the mold is because electricity went out and I pulled the fridge out. We contacted Lowe's. It took a week for them to get a service technician to come out. They said the refrigerator was broke and needed to be replaced. They said to contact Lowe's in two days if we didn't hear anything which I did. when I contacted Lowe's all the calls, go to India to a call center the people from India Told us they didn't have the paperwork to call back in two days which I did they still did not have the paperwork they said to call back in two days when I called back again they still did not have the paperwork so I called the service center that came out. They said Lowes had not called them at all. I got all the information from the service center and try to give it to the Call Center who did not want it but I pushed them to take it then it took another week for them to get a hold of us. We have an extended warranty, Lowes sent us an email saying they would replace the refrigerator but we had a buy it at Lowe's. Our refrigerator that broke cost 2500 plus the warranty but they will only give us 2000 to get a new refrigerator. What was the point of the warranty? I do not recommend Lowe's. They need to fix their service and change their ways if they want to keep customers. I will never buy anything from them again. We have had no refrigerator for a month and it ruined our pantry wall. And they made $500 off of us besides what they made on the refrigerator and the warranty. They are horrible. read more

Every time you ask an associate a question they never know the answer. It seems like they just have the employees floating around different departments with no knowledge of any of the departments. The installer put two doors in (one crooked) and found that the factory sent the third door ten inches too big. I was told that the reorder would be expedited and installed. It is now May 19th and no word from Lowe's. I have been calling the store all week with no answer from an associate. The install headquarters said the order was completed and nothing was pending and I should call the store back. I tried talking to a store manager. I called Millwork. No answer. After many hours trying to reach someone at the store or headquarters, I am out a lot of money, frustrated, have no large door and one crooked one. I'd give them a negative 5 if I could. This place is a joke. Ordered cabinets and counter tops through Lowe's in Salinas CA. Sales clerk Connie Tan. We paid the extra $100 for their folks to come measure our kitchen, then it would be taken off the bill. Connie is not a designer she just plugs in measurements into their cabinet program. Cabinets took about 6 weeks, gave us plenty of time to demo the kitchen, texture walls, paint etc. Cabinets 12 of them finally arrive and are installed in 3 days. Contracted had to be called back, uneven doors, one was cracked. Counter top folks that are not in our area, out of Hayward CA 2 hours away called to come by and temple the counter top. They did not speak English, I don't speak Spanish. I notified Ms Connie and advised her of my concerns. She apparently made a note and adivsed Mission FLooring on install day to have someone who speaks English. Needless to say I was worried. We charged $21000 on our Lowe's credit card. Install took place, I have a small kitchen these 2 men were at my house all day. The work was awful seams are very visible, corners are not flush to wall. They damaged/took out a chunk of a cabinet along with scratches. Lowe's take no responsibility for the contractor they have a contract with. I emailed Connie, who inturn left me hanging. Tried a manager who gave me a 800 number for install support. 26 phone calls later still no resolution. No one ever calls you back, you have to call them every 3 days and it starts all over again. I sent pictures 3 times, I spoke to 26 different people. The problem was the owner of Mission Flooring, George, never answers his phone, nor does he call you back. I spoke to 3 managers at Lowe's in Salinas No help what so ever. DO NOT HAVE LOWE"S INSTALL YOUR KITCHEN pay the extra money and get a professional to design it. What a waste of my money. Every time I go to the Salinas store, it has been terrible customer service! I needed to get epoxy paint for garage floor and the lady at paint department was in a personal conversation for a very long time with someone she obviously knows and when she was done. I asked for her assistance but she just blew me off. I left and went to Home Depot. Another time, I went to Lowe's to see about tools but when I asked for help, I got, "it's not my department ". So again, I left and went to Home Depot. I tried to discuss it with management but they don't care!
