He lead us to the display but beyond that couldn't help. I figured it out, but it was kinda annoying. They didn't have 3 combo smoke detector: CO2 detectors on the floor of the kind I needed. I asked if they had more in the back and be immediately said no. Now maybe they don't, but I am skeptical. I ended up buying 2 of 1 and 1 of the other because I needed them today. When I was rung up he exclaimed "Dayum!" Not exactly the reaction I was hoping. Prices are fair for some things. I didn't have time to price compare.

I got a call from the guy who runs that department a few days later saying that they were going to have really good sale starting on Monday and if I could come in and talk to him about it. I told him I would come by between 1 and 2 pm. I got there at 1:30 and there was no one in the door department. I was able to finally stop an employee to see if he could find the guy who called me. He couldn't. I stopped by the Pro Desk and asked if they knew where he was and was told he had the day off. He wasted my time for nothing. I'll still shop at Home Depot for some things, but I'll never deal with their departments that deal with items you can't just pick up off the shelf again.

Then had some harder to reach one's in even more of a bad angle. Went to harbor freight in frustration and walked out with $20 worth of 5 tools, w of which came in sets. They worked perfect. Returning the home depot and lowes garbage. Lowes is good for like appliances but when it comes to needing 1 tool they only sell $40 sets. Whereas at Harbor Freight, more often than not, you can buy just the 1 tool you need. I can't believe they literally had everything I was looking for here. I will definitely come here first next time. Oh and I also had the same experience last year buying a tool chest. Harbor Freight had nicer sliding drawer mechanisms and better size and it was on some holiday sale so for like $100 less I got what I feel like was a better product. This seems to be the recurring theme in all of my experiences with this store. You pay much less and get what you need. I will be back again and again!
