Lowes doesn't care about anything once the sale is made. I bought a gas cook stove 6/12. I was told the stove was in Syracuse and would be local on 6/13 I would hear from installers Friday or Saturday I called the store and installers 6/14 afternoon no one had any information finally said the stove was in transit and would not be local until 6/19. I called 6/18 because the tracking said the stove has been ready for installers to pick up since 6/16 still haven't heard anything from these folks and they tell me it is scheduled for 6/19 so I paid extra 300 to plumbers who came and installed the gas line on 6/13 but ASAP to lowes and company is in their sweet time any delivery info they tell you is a complete lie and their lies cost me an extra $300 for the plumber to rush read more

Bought a vanity two months ago. Took three weeks to get someone to do the estimate for installation. Got an email the same day that someone would call with the estimate and set up installation date. That was over a month ago and no phone call. Can't get anyone on the phone. Worst customer service ever! read more

Ran in to get some bumper/fender washers and asked a staff member who was clearly inconvenienced that a customer needed something. Besides noting there was no such thing, she couldn't even tell where the larger washers were. Had to search around at hardware, and found said washers in the wrong bins - for nuts, and wrong labels. So...uninformed staff, worse customer service, and wrong placement of product in mislabeled bin. How do these places survive? read more

This store gives Lowe's a bad name, worst Lowe's constantly year after year. Today, late morning there were 0 cashiers only self checkouts which I avoid like the plague. Should have left my cart and walked out but I needed some me things. I missed one item which the attendant caught which never happens with a checkout person. I could have been accused of theft which I have never done in my life. Contractor friends refuse to patronize this store, they have a lot of legitimate complaints. read more

my husband and I will NEVER shop at this Lowe's again. Major complaints, no one to assist in locating items (20 minute wait after clerk tells me that she did not work in the department, she did only pricing and left to find someone who could help). Left the department without purchasing anything as no one came to help. Check out - only one cashier open and was having problem cashing out purchase. Again, after 20 minute wait I went to customer service. I was advised by the clerk that she would "see what she could do). Finally, my husband was denied his veteran discount. The cashier submitted his phone number 3 times, each time it was NOT the number that he told her. She told him he was not on file. Have been trying to get custom Graber Plantation Shutters for my living room since mid July from Lowes in Macedon. First the issue was Graber installer screwed up the deal and had to come twice to measure. Only got this accomplished due to a wonderful store associate Taylor (who then returned to college and no longer working there) finally get all the quotes this past week and try and sign the contract and actually make an appointment at the store and there is no one available and then an associate who is supposed to help comes to the dept and complains the entire time about how she is off the clock and cannot help. No one in that store minus Taylor has ANY customer service skills. The manager couldn't be bothered to come and help while we were in the store or when trying to contact them through a clerk. We are done with Lowes. Credit card is cut up and will be returned with our last payment to them ever... read more

Can never find someone to help you and if you do they are only trained in some other department. Also had carpeting delivered to my home. They brought the wrong one the first time. Second time the carpet was damaged. Ended up getting money back and going somewhere else. read more

I began the process to replace windows in April, it's now August and it's still an incomplete job. Horrible communication and service. Contractor was rude and foul tempered especially to his help, and did such a poor job that someone needs to return to fix it. Customer service was unprofessional. Moved to the area from Virginia so we visited this Lowes, which is near our new home, several times. They have yet to be well-stocked, but we gave them a few chances. The customer service was terrible. I swear I think they trained the employees to avoid all eye contact with customers. A female employee working in flooring was short with us, she spoke rudely to both my husband and I, and she rolled her eyes several times. We were going to work with this store on a significant home renovation project but we struggled to find someone to help us to even schedule floor measuring. When we finally scheduled floor measuring, the measuring person cancelled twice, telling us that his car had broken as his reason for the second cancellation. We rescheduled for the next day. That morning he called asking for our address because the "computer had wiped it out" and that he "might" be on our side of town, despite the fact that we had agreed that he'd stop by within a specific time frame. When he spoke, he didn't seem to remember any of this and asked if he had stopped by the previous day, a time during which he had said his car had broken down. We cancelled the order because we didn't trust him to measure the floor accurately if he indeed showed up. We found it challenging to get reimbursed. Although there are undoubtedly employees capable of quality customer services at this Lowe's, they don't seem to communicate with each other well. We've purchased flooring and window treatments through the Home Depot in Victor and have never had a problem. read more

Ordered a dryer a week ago. When I looked on-line (before going to the store), indicated the dryer could be delivered the next day. The sales associate said it would take six days to deliver. Not ideal, but figured I didn't have much of a choice. Was supposed to receive a call Saturday night to confirm time for Sunday delivery. When I didn't receive a call, I called the delivery center and was told they didn't have a timeframe for me but the dryer would definitely be delivered on Sunday. When I still didn't receive a call on Sunday, I called again and was told I would not be receiving the dryer and would have to wait five more days for delivery. After talking to a supervisor, I was told they could deliver the dryer on Tuesday rather than Friday. It is Monday night and I've just gotten off the phone with Lowe's delivery (of course, I had to call them again). It sounds very unlikely that I will receive the dryer tomorrow. I've made it clear that if the dryer does not arrive tomorrow, I will be cancelling the order and going with another company. I will NEVER shop at Lowe's again. The customer service has been horrible. The person I spoke with this evening didn't care at all if I cancelled the order. She was rude from the moment she answered the phone. Management at the store where I purchased the dryer isn't helpful either since, apparently, all they do is take the order and charge my credit card. They take no responsibility for what happens beyond the sale. read more

Went with my senior citizen parents to help them pick up brickface concrete steps and flagstones for their garden. They asked the cashier if Lowe's does price matching, he checked with his coworker, who said they did, but they'd have to go to the trouble of looking it up inside and there was a line... My parents decided to forgo the price matching and asked for assistance loading the 30 concrete steps and 18 flagstones into their van. We were told someone would be right out. After waiting 5 minutes, I helped them load. My mother has a back injury and my father had just had hand surgery a month ago, but we couldn't get any help. I overheard one of the associates who looked our way say, "I'm not up to that" before walking away. Afterward, my mother went to complain to the cashier and his less-than-helpful friend started laughing at her and mocking her. At that point, I demanded to speak to a manager. She apologized and made the price match, but the whole experience has permanently soured my opinion of Lowe's. I would recommend staying away from the Macedon store if you enjoy decent customer service. read more
