Dated review but from about a month ago, washer was acting up and not working right, after searching for repairmen I settled on Rochester Appliance. Spoke with both Rebecca and Holden by phone for scheduling and worked with the tech Trevor, for repair work. Trevor made several trips, and for (I think around $300.00) the washer was back up and running. Took less than a week for a new computer board but everything was explained to me well. Am relieved to have it back up and running since it's only a few years old (new from box store). Will definitely be using them in the future for any appliance repairs. Thanks for help :) read more

First off they know their stuff. I was able to ask lots of questions and really feel comfortable with my decision. Their pricing was very competitive. I ended up buying a refrigerator stove and microwave.. Everything was brought to my home in the box and unboxed there. Yesterday, my family and I had a disappointing experience at this appliance store. From the moment we walked in, the person at the customer service desk made no effort to interact with us or offer the tiniest bit of assistance. We weren't greeted, not asked if we needed help, or suggested any options based on what I was there to buy. "I could order something. We don't keep that product in the store." That would be ok, but there was no suggestion to look through a catalogue. On our way out, we saw exactly what we wanted on the floor. It was a return, but there was no way that I would buy anything there. I guess because it was only a mini fridge that I didn't warrant his time. He doesn't know that we will be looking for Wolf, Viking, or Sub Zero products in the next year. I wouldn't buy a drink of water from them after walking through a desert for 5 days. Inexcusable. I don't believe the rating, if that person demonstrates the company's commitment to customer service. A rating of 1 star is most appropriate. read more

They went to your store and dealt with a Jon who was very rude to them. They have no timeline on a new stove and won't even consider doing a refund for a damaged product. Jim reattached a hose and it cost me $140. He was in my house for five minutes And came at the end of the time window he quoted me yesterday because he'd already be in the neighborhood. Was HUNDREDS of dollars less than the big box stores - for the dishwasher - AND the delivery and installation was HALF THE PRICE! Big box stores we had a wait of 1-2 weeks. We got our dishwasher in TWO DAYS! And the installers had a little trouble and didn't charge extra and were so great. If you want to go to the big box stores to compare prices, go right ahead. I bought a very nice gas stove at Rochester Appliance a couple of weeks ago. I was thrilled with their prices, selection and great sales staff as well as the reviews I read about them. The stove was installed on August 14th. After the stove was installed the installer and I both smelled gas. Installer did not have meter to check for a gas leak but assured me that all was fine, it was just the new smell. The installer went out to his truck to leave and I told my husband to call him right back because I smell gas. The installer came back and again assured me it was fine. 20 minutes later I called the service department at the store and I wanted to have the stove checked for a gas leak. They told me no one was available and I would have to wait from that day, Friday till Monday. I immediately told them it was a safety issue and they told me to shut the gas off and not to use it till Monday. I told them that was not acceptable. Then a service man was out in the area and he came about an hour or so later. Again no meter and told me it was just the smell of a new stove. I went for another week smelling the gas but my husband did not believe me. Our son came this past Sunday and he told me the house wrecked of gas. We immediately shut the gas off at the tank and I called the store and left a message,since they were closed. Monday morning came and no call from the store. I called and spoke to John the manager. He at first told me they did not have enough service men to come out and if there was an issue with the stove I should call GE appliance for service. I told him it was not as issue with the stove but an installation problem and that the installers should never install a gas appliance without a meter to check for leaks. John then agreed to send a tech from the store This time this man brought a gas meter and guess what, there was gas leaking from both ends of the gas supply that the installers had hooked it up to. We had asked if we needed to replace the old one but the first installers said it looked fine. The new repair man put a new supply on the stove and then checked it a couple of times to prove there was no leak. It did take him at least twice to make sure there was no gas leak since the gas meter alarm would still go off. I am very thankful that my family did not sustain any injury from this incident. I had 3 grandchildren staying the night the night before we really knew that the gas leak was for real. I also checked my propane tank after installation that day and again the day we shut off the tank and I know that we had gone thru 8 gallons of propane in about 10 days. I WOULD NEVER AGAIN TRUST ANYONE TO INSTALL A GAS APPLIANCE WITHOUT A GAS METER. THIS WAS RECKLESS AND COULD OF BLOWN OUR HOUSE UP OR CAUSED A WRONGFUL DEATH. read more

I ordered a washer and dryer from home depot and there first available delivery was 2 weeks out. I have 5 dogs and going without a washer and dryer for several weeks is extremely difficult. About a week after my order I received a phone call that my shipment was delayed another week. Totally unacceptable. I called and cancelled my order and googled local appliance stores. I believe I spoke with a man named Steve and he was amazing. Ordered everything I needed right over the phone and I got my washer and dryer a few days later. We bought a used washer and dryer set almost a year ago. It has worked great. I went to use it and the washer wasn't working right. I called, and they stood up to their 1 year warranty!! It was awesome. They got me booked with an appointment within 3 days....because I called late Friday so they came Monday! The technician was able to fix it within 5 minutes. Just a simple hood latch. NEVER AGAIN FROM ARTIC WHOLESALE after a cockroach unfurled, coming to life while my tenant cooked dinner! Artic will take in anything -even from cockroach infested buildings- to turn a profit. Learn from my mistake: Rochester Appliance is both selective and very thorough in steam and other sanitation practices. Beware of Artic, with its large warehouses, where cockroaches thrive on grease and dirt. I trust (and can see for myself) the work and showroom area of Rochester Appliance. We were looking to move 2 washer/dryer units between 3 houses, a week before the holiday with little notice. I had called multiple moving companies and was told outrageous prices and that the companies couldn't get to it at such short notice. To say I was near tears is an understatement. I had used Rochester Appliance in the past to fix a stove and they were extremely helpful, so I figured I would call to see if they had the bolts for moving the front loader, and if they could recommend a moving company. Rebecca answered and gave me a Christmas miracle, she said they could get the bolts in the next day and they could move/hookup the units for me on the day of my choosing at a fraction of the price the moving companies wanted to charge. Did I also mention, the aforementioned moving companies said they couldn't connect/disconnect the units, but this was included with Rochester Appliance? Ricki and Jake called me the morning of to schedule the time, and their original time didn't fit with my schedule, so I asked if they could push it back a bit. They were extremely accommodating and showed up at my preferred time. They were top notch professional employees; not only were they polite but they ensured their feet were wiped before walking on my white carpets (a huge + in my book!). They unscrewed doors, and moved the washer and dryers out so I could take pictures before moving them to their final resting place. They also helped fix a dryer vent that wasn't originally hooked up correctly, in addition to running all of the machines after hook up to ensure they were set up correctly. I deal with a lot of contractors, as we own a few properties and are always doing renovations, and these are by far the best contractors I have ever worked with. I would highly recommend them, in fact I already have recommended them to my family and friends. My dishwasher recently died so I needed to buy a new one. Many places were out of them and couldn't get one in for weeks or even a month or longer. I called Rochester Appliance and spoke with a helpful person named Jon, who informed me they had a nice selection in stock. I stopped in and found one for a great price. Although other places had a long wait to have a dishwasher installed, they were able to have someone deliver it in a few days. The installers were also very pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately, due to a problem from the previous install from a different company, the dishwasher I bought wouldn't work. Not to worry though, because the installers called Jon (who I found out is the manager) and arranged for a different one to be purchased in its place. Jon went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled as smoothly as possible, even with the hiccup we encountered, which again was no fault of Rochester Appliance. From my first impression when I talked to Jon on the phone to the completion of the delivery and install, I felt confident in choosing Rochester Appliance. Unfortunately that was not the experience I had with most other places when calling or coming in. I will gladly use them again in the future, and have already recommended them to family and friends. Purchased a new gas range and I had the same positive experience. Delivery guys called ahead, showed up on time and were extremely polite and professional. I like to try to keep my business local so i called Rochester Appliance and explained that i had a propane dryer and needed too convert it to natural gas, they said they had what i needed, i drove down the following morning before work to pick the part up. Unsure of the process I called at 5:40 pm to call to ask a quote to swap out what was needed, but anyone who could quote that had already went home for the day, and that they opened at 9am but they person could help wouldn't be there until later. I took my ambitions found the model closets to mine online and went through the process of changing the part out. I was not sold all the parts needed so not only do i have a disassembled dryer they don't have the part in stock i need. I am going out of town for a wedding, so leaving my dryer in pieces for the weekend and going to the laundry matte to do clothes is less the ideal, all because i assumed that going local would be a better resource then online. I ordered the part i needed online for half the cost of what Rochester Appliance charges, and wish i would have went online from the start, not only would it have saved me time and money, It would have been done right the first time. read more
