The main room as you walk in has some furniture but largely lighting fixtures, dishwashers, stoves, refrigerators, thanks, assorted Hardware much of it new, and interior doors. The second, smaller room in the back room has largely exterior doors and storm doors, more furniture, including office chairs, file cabinets, headboards and footboards. Things here are very reasonably priced and I was able to find almost all the fixtures for my mother's house, all of which were under $5 (except for two chandeliers $10/ea). They have tested all the major appliances and will only sell those that work. I used to sell major appliances. Always look for the plaque starting model & serial number. It's usually on the back or inside on the door on stoves, on the inside of the refrigerator on the left. From the model number and serial number you can search or call the company and ask what the date of manufacture was. Frequently, refrigerators have the date of manufacture right on the plaque inside. Also, ask if it's on recall or has had any problems reported. If you buy a major appliance, you can arrange for your own delivery, or have it delivered for $25, but only in the city of Rochester. And they will only drop it at your door, not enter your house. While it does need a bit of polish organization, there's so many bargains here and this organization does so much good for the community, that it's easy to overlook the haphazard displays. The people are very nice and helpful, except for one cashier who looks very bored and is curt. They need to get more shopping carts. Often the workers use what few shopping carts are there for working in the back. It makes shopping (i.e. ceramic tiles) very difficult. If you want a truly no frills, bottom rung of the ladder shopping experience saving you a lot of money, this is the place to go.

They said that was unacceptable and took it upon themselves to get the manufacturer to make it right. We got a brand new one as a result. The latest bit of praise is that I messed up a setting on the microwave I got there a while back and Steve, spent 45 minutes with me in the phone trying to fix it. When we had no luck , he emailed me my receipt, which I lost and set up a service call for me. This people is why I go to this store and not a big box. Service is everything when you need help with an expensive item.

I prefer refurbished because I feel I get a higher quality product, it just comes dings and dents. Bought a Maytag, was asking 350.00 but we offered 250.00 and we will take it with us ourselves. I liked the idea of supporting a local business for what I needed instead of going to a big-box store. That said, you might pay a little more for some items. The machines smell horrible. On my first time here I did not realize the door automatically locked at 11. My clothes took forever to dry and I ran out to my car to get an extra laundry bag to pack them in. When I walked back I could not get into the laundromat. I called the owner several times and I got no response. When I looked on the door I saw in super small print that the door automatically locks. I did not know and I accept that was my mistake. The door also says that it opens at 6am so then next morning I arrive at 6 am hoping to get my stuff and not one is here and the door remains locked. I have called the number multiple times no response. Laundry is not cheap and at the very least the owner should be responsive to inquiries. Further more, the owner blocked my number instead of responding.

I called two other appliance repair places and they both said Friday was the soonest they could get over. Then I called Register and they said Tuesday and I said, "Bring it!" An hour later they called back and said we can come in an hour. WooHoo! Dave arrived on time and with several alerts both from the company and from Dave that he was on his way. Alas, the fridge needed a part that had to be ordered and it would be Wednesday between 12:30-5:00 before they'd have it and could get back. Dave arrived on Wednesday at noon (with alerts beforehand, as before). Was not cheap, but was entirely reasonable and way less than a new fridge. So again, highly recommended!
