I stopped at this Lowe's in Kyle after our wedding reception resulted in a handful of gif cards. I hate carrying unnecessary number of cards in my wallet so I decided to consolidate them into 1 card. No problem - got in, took 10mins, got out. Two weeks later, more Lowe's gift cards were received in the mail. I took them to the Lowe's in San Marcos (on my way home from work) and it took them almost an hour and THREE morons in trying to get the seemingly impossible mission done. It started with the cashier telling me it couldn't be done. Then she called the cashier who was only that because of her badge. Finally a manager came up and HE had to call corporate to find out how in the world he was to accomplish this task. Apparently My Lowe's in Kyle is the only location near me that has the brain power to accomplish this. Many thanks for actually paying attention during orientation. I used to live in Kyle and figured I'd try shopping at the new Lowe's, while I was impressed with the knowledgeable staff I have to say that I was SURPRISED when I heard an assistant manager (Deborah) berating employees and talking down to them. I will never do business with a company that so publicly belittles their employees. I mean, I understand disciplining employees but it should never be done so harshly and in front of fellow employees and customers. Truly shameful. read more

I just wanted to share my experience with Lowe's recently. My current refrigerator was on death's door. I had no idea how long he would make it. So I went to Lowe's on a Sunday to look at refrigerators. Perfect timing as many were on sale. I worked with Ken McCrory in appliances and he offered to print out specs for me as I forgot to take measurements before leaving the house. I was looking at 3 different models and I had just planned to take notes on my phone for comparison. However, the specs had all the details so that was very helpful. I left and I planed to go by Home Depot to comparison shop also. I found a model at HD that I liked. I went home to compare prices and I found the price was really about the same. HD couldn't get delivery until Friday and Lowe's offers next day free delivery & haul away. I also looked on the web to make sure Lowe's had the model I decided on. They did. I went back to the Lowe's in Kyle to make my purchase Monday night. Ken worked with me again. He did not have the model I decided on in stock yet. It was a new model and the store just did not have any in yet. He looked in his computer to see when they were scheduled to get them. He showed they were supposed to get one that night but it was already spoken for by another customer but they were supposed to get 2 more on Tuesday. He offered to go ahead and put my order in the system for a Wednesday delivery and then have a manager call me on Tuesday if for some reason the system was not accurate and the model was not on the store's truck. He was scheduled off that day so he would have his manager call if there was a problem and if so they would give me a refund. On Tuesday I got a call from the store to confirm my delivery on Wednesday afternoon. On Wednesday the delivery guys called before noon to let me know they were 15 mins away. Overall, I was so happy with the purchase, the customer service by Lowe's employees as well as their delivery guys. These guys went above and beyond for me! read more

There was a time when I would agree that the Kyle Lowe's was awesome. Not anymore. Customer service has gone out the door. Last year before we moved we remodeled our home top to bottom. Everything down to the toilets! Everything was purchased at the Kyle Lowe's. No problems. We moved to a new home in October and now it is another story. First thing we ordered a refrigerator. My husband waiting 2 hours past the delivery time. Hello we are less that 10 miles from the store. Next wood flooring. Nightmare!! We were quoted a price that the manager did not agree with and had "expired". So we agreed to another price. Although the sign said the flooring required glue the salesman assured us it did not. Next delivery time was a problem again! They gave me a time frame and when they did not show up I called. They told us I had the wrong time. Really! They said they will get around to it. Okay we ordered the floor and had it delivered weeks before the installation. I took 5 days off of work for the installation. First thing after the installer shows up we discover that we DO need glue. Not just any glue. Glue that adds over $1500 to the project. Oh and the store does not have the required 9 containers of it. We were told that it was on the truck for Wednesday. We must have at least 5 Lowe's within 60 miles! And we are waiting for a truck. Well now it is day 2 and the glue we do have is not usable. Old and dried up! Just like the Kyle Lowe's!! Lowe's does not care about you wasting your time. read more

We ordered a new refrigerator a week ago for delivery this morning between 8-12 am. I received two phone calls in advance to confirm delivery. I was here, but they were not. At 11:00 am I received a phone call stating because of a screw up at the store delivery would be delayed up to 3 hours. I do consulting work so this meant I had to re-schedule 2 appointments. At 2:30, I was told it would be another hour. At 4:40, they still did not show up so I called to be informed they were held up at a previous delivery and were not sure when meaning another appointment missed by me. At this point I called my final appointment and ended up canceling. Finally, at 4:45 they showed up. My costs? Close to $1000 due to missing appointments. Lowes costs? $0! We paid for the refrigerator and delivery. Congratulations Kyle Lowes for screwing me big time! Good bye for losing me and anyone else I can tell about this horrible experience. read more

We ordered a freezer from this Lowe's and then ordered 500 pounds of grass-fed beef processed. When it was time to pick up the meat, the freezer had not yet arrived. I called and spoke with Cleone Bullock. She actually worked in the cabinet department but insisted on helping us find a solution. She contacted the store manager that day, Maria Hernandez, and they offered to give us a loaner until the freezer arrived. This is what customer service is all about! Let me begin by clarifying that this review is pertaining to Lowes Installation Company, the contractors that they use, not Lowes in and of itself. I recently needed new carpet, floor tile, granite counter top and a kitchen backsplash to be installed at a home we purchased. Without thinking twice I went to Lowes. From the Lowes employees I received amazing customer service! Layla with Installation and Steve in carpet were amazing. Unfortunately, my experience with awesomeness ended there. I had an issue with every install. The last, and most ridiculous, was the backsplash install. The team they sent were no better than someone I could of picked up off the street to install. They literally hung my Lantern shape mosaic tile sideways. When approached and told that they were hanging it incorrectly one of the men literally had a temper tantrum in my drive way. The other asked if I was going to want it to be redone. Um...yes, I will want that corrected! After further inspection, I realized that wasn't the end of it. They hadn't matched up the sections, especially in the corners. Some tiles were crooked, some were chipped and some were spaced differently than others. Well, needless to say after multiple problems with Lowes installers, (the counter top installers sealed our address onto the granite in three places and left trash in our front yard. Tile installers never showed and carpet installers were a week late), I fired Lowes asking for a full refund. Which they graciously provided but not before the backsplash installers removed the walls to the studs and broke a light switch. I wish I could post pics of the disaster, instead you'll have to take my word and NOT use Lowes installers. Sorry Lowes, but it's true. read more

I purchased all new Samsung appliances from your store in January of 2016, spent close to 6k. My stove has been broken for the last 3.5 weeks. Your service provider has been out 3 times and has burned up a new power cord each time. Including 4 new power cords and 1 service call from an electrician I'm out 200$ and still have a broken stove. Your technician all 3 times has showed up not in a uniform with no ID and in his unlettered vehicle. I am beyond disappointed with you as a Company. Hopefully your stove still works and you stick your head in it. read more

Went for a few pieces of lumber, and waited to have a piece of plywood cut for 45 minutes, after asking multiple people for help. Was just about to walk out the door when someone finally showed up, but even then he didn't know what he was doing and was being taught on the spot by a manager who didn't seem too familiar with the machine either. read more

Arrived about 1:30 on a Friday afternoon to have some keys made. The store was by no means busy, but I was unable to gain the attention of any employee. When I finally did locate someone to ask for help, the request was called overhead. After ten minutes, there was still no one to assist me. There were, however, little gaggles of employees all chatting and laughing with each other. When I walked towards one of these groups to request assistance they quickly scattered. This has to be the most unhelpful, unfriendly Lowe's I have ever been to. Luckily there's a Home Depot less than five miles away. read more

I gave 1 star because there is no option for "no star". This company is just the worst for reliability in the installation part of their business. Plus, their customer service skills are non existent. They so totally SUCK. I have shopped at Lowe's for years and in January purchased a new back door with a dog door for our home in Buda and arranged for them to do the installation. What a nightmare. First they measured incorrectly and had to come back. Then when the door arrived in March the contractor Lowe's selected sent an installer who had only installed one other door. Needless to say, he screwed up everything, made a huge mess and then discovered the opening for the dog door wasn't measured correctly and was at least 2" too big. Remember, they got my money up front...$1,000. they were completely uninterested in making the job right. After both my adult children jumped their shit, Lowe's finally agreed to bring a loaner door while they re-ordered the door. Grudgingly agreed. The store rep, Layla, tried to say it wasn't their fault, it was the contractor's fault. Who picked the contractor? Lowe's did. They never took any responsibility for the problems. Anyway, now it is May 13th and the door was finally installed successfully today. Although....they didn't tell the installer to come pick up the door from them before he came to my home so he had to go to Kyle and get the door. Long story longer, I hate Lowe's now and am going to close my account with them (I know they won't care but it'll make me feel better) and I plan to never spend another penny with them. Four months to get a simple door installed. that's ridiculous. read more

The Kyle Lowe's is one of their worst stores for customer service. They do not have enough in-store staff in departments during the work week. On my recent trip to Lowe's it took me over 30 minutes once in the store to find out they did not even carry the product in their paint center. Bob and David are usually very helpful but they can't cover all the departments. Too bad...it's the closest building supply store to me. Back to my second choice, Home Depot. read more

My 89 year old grandfather went to this store to purchase a refrigerator. A WWII vet, he presented his DD214 and DL with the Veteran designation to obtain a veteran's discount. The store would not honor either. Because Lowe's thought $50 was too much to pay to honor a World War II navy vet, I ad my family will never purchase anything at a Lowe's again. Absolutely disgraceful. Home Depot gladly honored his service with a 10% discount. read more

I had a question for the garden department. I was advised to bring the plant/weed in question for identification and recommendation for its eradication. None of the three individuals in that department knew anything about the department in which they worked. I was told that another individual was working the following day and would be the one that could offer help. I was told to come back before noon as she took her lunch at that time. I arrived at 11:35 and was told that she had already left for lunch. Again, no one working there knew anything about the plant that I had brought for examination. I was told by "management" to leave the item and call back before 4 pm. I called at 3:45 and was told that she had left for the day. I was intending to buy a John Deere riding mower from Lowe's but will now look elsewhere as these people and this company have really angered me. No help. No knowledge. No big ticket sale. read more

I recently went to Lowes in Kyle and while looking for something unrelated, my girlfriend went over to appliances as we were thinking of replacing a washer/ dryer, a dish washer, and possibly a new stove. She was speaking to one of the associates, Wes who she was relating our issues with a newer Maytag Washer and Dryer we had purchased nearly a year prior at Home Depot. Wes actually explained some things we could try and basically took the time to lay out the best way to use HE machine and some things to check on the dryer. Everything he had asked us to check worked out perfectly, and basically saved us $1000 for a new washer and Dryer. He also helped us find a floor model Samsung Stove that saved us about $400 and recommended a dish washer to replace the old one we had which was just old and terrible. Lowes did the instal, all was awesome! The installers for both appliances were great, cleaned up there area, made sure everything worked properly, and most of all gave us a quick tutorial on the convection oven, and using the gas top more effectively. All in all, a very impressive experience. By contrast when buying our Washer Dryer from Home Depot in Kyle, it was just that a purchase with no advice operation what so ever, and if you're thinking its just a Washer Dryer, thats what I thought and we hadnt been using the machine the way it was designed. Now its a little nuts that one would need a tutorial on a washing machine these days but I cant tell you they have a whole other set nuances I never realized compared the old school washers and dryers. At any rate, Wes in the appliance department is f*cking awesome to me because he saved me from spending $1000 I didnt need to. Everyone is always reaaly nice a the Kyle Lowes and its my first stop when I need something for the house. Hope this helps. W read more
