We purchased a clearance washing machine off the floor for an insanely low price. Once we got it home and set up we found out why it was naked down so low. The control board didn't function and the machine got stuck in the cycle repeatedly and controls didn't work as the manual indicated. We brought it back the next day and the young man working returns, I believe his name tag read, Fisher, was very helpful and got approval to refund our money. While we were very disappointed that we purchased a defective machine, Fisher and Lowe's management corrected things. Thank you! read more

After getting the keys to our first home the obvious first items on the agenda were paint and new locks. Seems easy right?! I'm what we shall politely call 'particular' ( I want thing a certain way... Mine). The hubs and I made a list, things we knew we needed, and some paint colors in mind. We had some sketchy room measurements. Off to Lowe's! We pull up and it's smaller than the one in San Marcos. Hmm. First stop paint. We barely get the cart in the section (which I must add is a brilliant design for a cart in a home improvement store). We are not even in the department a minute before we have the paint dude giving us his undivided attention. He's able to pull up and help us locate color codes from the paint we used 2 years ago in the apartment. Tells us what finish is best for the room, even asks what we are painting over. Freaking awesome. He also mentions the paint sale going on. Helps us decide the grade of paint, and goes to work coloring magic. We head to get the small paint supplies we need and head to the lock section. Where within 3 minutes 2 employees stop to attempt to assist us. They could not but a simple push of the 'I need help' button gets us yet another awesome employee who makes sure the 3 locks we needed were all keyed the same. He even busted open the package and did it for us as a tutorial. Ok quick calculation shows we are at budget, but decide to look at fans because we love them. Again several offers of assistance. Does this store have an above average of workers per square foot? When we make it back to the paint center, where the guy who helped us earlier is apologizing that he had to separate our 5 gallon main color because he didn't have the base. BUT! He makes sure to tell us to separate our paint and paint supply purchases into $50 increments to get $10 off each $50. The cashier knew what we were up to and turned off her light to make sure she did things right. When the computer did not cooperate she made up the difference in a gallon of paint. While this review is overly long. As we left the store I added up the 5 separate transactions the cashier did to save us the most money she could, we went from at budget to $150 under. I think that alone is worth taking the time to point out how far everyone we saw who worked there thought of what we needed, and to help us save money. read more

Horrible experience. Won't ever go back. We started in the appliance department looking for a washer. The salesman was rude, unknowledgeable and acted like we were bothering him by asking what he had in stock, as everything we looked at he said "we have none in stock". He appeared to be upset he was there. We made a purchase, got in home moved iT upstairs and unpacked it. The entire backside was crushed in and the inlet water valves were broke. Called and spoke to a manager and they offered %10 discount to keep it or bring it back. Mind you the water valves were broken. We packed it up and took it back. After about 45 minutes they brought another one to the front. I asKed to inspect it and it too was damaged beyond use. Again they offered another %10 discount . Finally after about 1.5 hours we left with a good unit. NO DISCOUNT, NO MANAGER APOLOGY, NOTHING. Lowe's you have failed in your only job, which is customer satisfaction. If there was a zero star option, you would certainly get it here. read more

I usually shop at the Brodie location because its on my way home from work. I live in Buda and decided to try the Kyle location. Unfortunately I had an awful experience at the Kyle Location on Sunday March 20th due to the appauling customer service provided by the Assistant Store Manager Scott. Elizabeth in flooring knows everything about carpeting. We thought we had picked out a workable style for bedrooms and stairs. She vetoed our choice: wouldn't work on stairs. Then she guided us through a comprehensive selection process. Elizabeth will do whatever it takes to make your order happen for you. Our remodel schedule extended dangerously close to the family's arrival. I panicked. Needed a new lawnmower for my new home and in two visits over twelve hours, I had been given a glossy catalog of yard equipment and a crash course on the pros and cons of gas vs. electric mowers. As if that wasn't awesome enough, they retroactively applied a 10% discount I found when I was going through my mail the next day. They help us to get the most discounts possible, best deal of the day, and the best quality of products. Jake and Adam by the lumber section are GODSENDS. I purchased a hot water heater that stated it had same day Installation which if you have a family is a huge selling point. Having a baby and being without hot water is trying. As we reviewed the paperwork it gave a 5 day period it could be installed. Not what all the signs prominent placed say but I understand plumbers have availability so it may take a day or two. On the second day I called the installer whom said they were waiting on Lowe's to provide the heater. On the 4th day I called again, same answer, waiting on Lowe's. Called Lowe's and was given the run around about the installation date. I was told that the seller never guaranteed a date which they did. In all the corporate doubletalk to avoid blame they essentially said it was my fault it's not installed. The employees were rude and unhelpful. Home Depot is right down the street. I will taking my business there from now on. read more

This Lowes in Kyle is (in my opinion) as a roofer, the BEST in Central Texas. For some reason they understand the RETURN material process better than any other central Texas Lowes. It is just astounding. Also they offer by far, the BEST delivery of any Lowes I have used as a contractor. I am guessing is goes back to management. Probably the worst customer service I've experienced, anywhere. I don't think anyone who works there actually wants to be there, and it shows. We bought all of our appliances there, plus odds and ends for the house, both in store and online, and we only did it because of our Lowe's card, and the fact that we refuse to shop at Home Depot for moral reasons. Well, after our many poor experiences, we are making the drive to Ace Hardware in Wimberly. It's just not worth the time and frustration of trying to go in there and finding someone willing (and able) to help us. read more

Went to get a dryer and found Madeline (hope i spelled it right). She was gr8 but, they did not have the dryer in stock so went to Home Depot and met this older gentleman who could not sell a solar powered heater to an Eskimo. He tried to sell us a used returned dryer for 26.00 MORE than a brand new one. He reasoning was because if you want it today then you will pay the extra money. So my wife and I went back to Lowes and spent a little over 1600.00. Thanks Madeline!!! read more

Went to this store for a washer dryer pair since they had what my wife was looking for. I paid for them on line and went to the Kyle store to pick them up. Everyone was friendly and very helpful considering all the craziness with Covid. Got them loaded and off I went, got about a mile from the store when a gust of wind blew them off the back of the truck. I can still see them tumbling down the road, a complete destruction of our new washer dryer pair was obvious. Most people would have tied them down but my thought was the weight should keep them in place. I got back to the store hoping for some sympathy and maybe get a free replacement but that wasn't in the cards. I spoke with one of the store managers and he was more than gracious enough to discount the next pair. Miguel and Antonio were more than helpful and have made a new customer for life. Omgosh. We spent 15 minutes waiting for the checking to ask everyone in the STORE what the price of a 1.15 bag of screws cost. Even though it MATCHED the bag she was able to scan... that was 1.15!!!! The guy who worked in that department told us that he would just scan the item with the tag rather than making us wait for him to go find a tiny bag of screws. NOPE! He had to bring a whole different tiny bag... which took him forever to try to locate. I finally had to go get it myself. All the while, customers are having to find another register to go to. Will never buy anything from there again! Bought a washer and dryer (paid cash)and was delivered. When they connected the washer they damaged a pipe trying to get the old hoe off or did not connect the water hose correctly y. Either way I have a massive leak. I called the guy that installed and he told me to not use it. DUH! He said he would call the store. I called the store also. They said they would put in a service call and try to get someone out today or tomorrow. Uh I have bad leak going on!! Needless to say I haven't heard anything from them and it is now 9:15 PM. Now dryer. My dryer vent hose needs to be placed in the floor where the old one is. Delivery/installation guy said they would do it if it was in the wall. Again told to call the store. Also didn't know they were suppose to haul off the old ones. That's the only thing they did right after I told him I paid for that service. New dryer not connected and washer connected leaking. I love this Lowe's! The manager (Julio??) was really great when I had an issue (truly minor) which was appreciated. The people in the garden area are always helpful and I rarely leave Lowe's without everything I needed.....and more stuff that I wanted :) It's also nice that I've seen them allow boy and girl scouts to sell their wares and raise money for their troops. I find that the store is lacking knowledgeable employees. Total lack of employees. I can't even believe begin to tell you the horror so I went through to get a washer and dryer. Then I was stupid enough to water the rest of our kitchen appliances there, every time their excuses well we don't handle that it's a third-party Company that handles the delivery, it's a third-party company that is doing the countertop it is not our issue. They don't stand behind their product. If you buy a floor or anything they wanna be paid 100% upfront. I can't imagine going to the doctor and paying 100% upfront to the hospital and the doctor before having any surgery. I can't see paying a carpenter to build a house, before they start any work order any material. But Home Depot and Lowe's think they're above and beyond everybody. They have poor service, and they destroyed the small town business. Then they donate some stupid flowers or something to the town and they want everybody to think that they are a hero! They are just plain horrible. On every level from gardening to electric to appliances and more. I went into buy a piece of plywood on a Friday night at 6:30 6:45, I just have the plywood cut in half so I could fit it In my car. They didn't have anybody to cut the wood. The next time I return they said the Saw was broken! I want to buy some pine number 2 pine. I asked the gentleman in the Wood department. Why they put the stickers on the face of the wood, supposed to finish grade wood. So it's almost impossible to get a good finish unless you plain it. The number #2 Pine was rough, that is not #2 pine, then it said it was made in Finland, try grown. why Not USA? Just very sad when we come to go shopping, I would just watch everything you buy at Lowe's or Home Depot it's really not what it seems to be most of the time. read more

I just needed a few house plants to spruce up my new apartment. After reading some reviews on the Home Depot here in Kyle, I tried Lowe's instead. I feel bad that I can't remember the nice woman's name working in the gardening section but I know she was probably close to my age and brunette. Very sweet. Took a lot of time to help me select some good succulents and even talked to me about how much lighting they should get and such. You could find this kind of information on the internet but then again you could just buy whatever you want over the internet too. After scheduling a detail measurement for flooring, it took 5.5 days to receive a call from the store. They refused to provide me the measurements for each room, although they had access to them, and told me that they could only give me an estimate of labor and material. This made it impossible for me to make an informed decision about what rooms I could afford to have redone. The manager continued to tell me that they could only give me an estimate, though I paid $35 for a 'detail measurement' I never received. I was told that if I wanted to take a room off I could tell them and they would re-estimate costs only. As a customer I need the transparency, the measurements and breakdown of costs. No one was able to give me a print out with detail or the information in an email format. In the end, the manager argued that the 'detail measurement' I paid for, was not that at all, despite what what was in writing...I paid $35 for someone to tell me what it would cost. read more

This location has become like my second home with a new house. Everyone that works here is super nice. Even when I have had issues they have taken care of it very well. I ordered a workbench online and when it arrived it was super damaged & missing hardware. They reordered it for me and gave me $20 off. Of course the damage was not Lowe's fault but the manufacturer's packaging of the product. I consistently return to this location for easy access to IH-35, helpful employees and plenty of product. read more

GREAT customer service in the nursery as soon as you drive up. "ASHLEY" (I believe her name is spelled differently) is very knowledgeable of "her" plants. You can tell she loves her job and being able to help with a green thumb. I am the "serial killer of even silk plants"...so I "need" all the help I can get. "Keeping Buda Green" would cringe at my ability to grow much of anything. That is the reason I live in an apartment and am trying to grow a house plant or 2! Ordered a Frigidaire dishwasher on 1/1/2017. At the time we were told 4-5 weeks for delivery. On 2/2/17 we called to check the status and were informed that the dishwasher hadn't been ordered yet due to a mistake by an employee. The manager went on to say that the particular model of dishwasher couldn't be ordered because it had been discontinued. A quick search showed the same model available at Best Buy, Home Depot, Sears and yes, even at Lowe's, and furthermore showed IN STOCK at the Kyle store. A mistake, I can handle. It happens. Gross incompetence and being lied to are what I won't tolerate. We typically buy all of our appliances and home improvement supplies at Lowe's but this experience has now made us lifelong Home Depot customers read more
