My daughter and I went to Lowe's, on 25th and Post, to find a keyless lock for her front door. A passing rep used the intercom to request assistance on aisle 14. No one came to help us. Ryan, an employee, who was off the clock doing some personal shopping saw/heard us talking and took her personal time to assist us. I was ready to go, as this is not the first time I was ignored, in this store, when I needed service. Thank you to Ryan. She did not have to assist us and we would have never known she was an employee. It's that kind of customer service that allows me to spend my money at Lowe's. Ryan is a special person she even assisted us by getting the lock from the cage and deactivating the security tag that was not deactivated during checkout. We are using Lowes for our patio door and anyone thinking of using them, may want to reconsider! We have been waiting 3 months now and still no door. The first 2 1/2 months we found out the sales person NEVER submitted the order. Even though I had contacted him at least 3 times asking what the hold up was. Now, after finally hearing from them Aug 1st to say someone should contact us by Aug 7th and still nothing, I called them again today Aug 13th. My husband is using a wheel chair, it does not fit through our current door so that makes it hard to enjoy the patio we had put in last year. We have always enjoyed shopping at Lowe's for our home needs. All of our appliances have been purchased at Lowe's, and today we were there shopping for a new stove. The sales associate revealed to us that Lowe's no longer allows military veterans a 10% discount in major appliances. What a disappointment that was especially since we are also going to purchase a garage-ready refrigerator when we re-do our garage this Spring. We have decided to research our options at Home Depot and Best Buy before we purchase any appliances now. Today, we had a delivery window between 8am-noon. The delivery arrived outside that window at 7am. Woke me up with a call at 7am and doorbell. Spoke no English, blocked my driveway while unpacking the freezer, pinned in my daughter that was leaving for school, rushed to switch out the freezer, acted impatient with any questions and left the freezer beeping while plugged in. If I could give this store and company as a whole negative stars, I would. In May 2019 my mother purchased a suite of GE (junk by the way) kitchen appliances from this store. As well, she bought the 5 year extended warranty. She had a horrible time with delivery. Now the microwave quit heating. When trying to submit a warranty claim they denied it because salesman rang it up as a 2 piece laundry warranty. However, he charged her for the 2 piece laundry warranty 2 times. He told her that all 4 appliances were covered. I have been fighting with Lowe's for over a week about this. Today I have been on the phone literally over 4 hours with their warranty people. When I first saw the reviews for this location I was a bit hesitant, but the stove I wanted to purchase was available in store here. I wanted to see it before purchasing online. The store was easy to navigate and find the stove section. We were quickly helped by an associate named Chad. He was so helpful. The stove I was looking at was cheaper online so I was going to purchase that way, and just had a few questions for him to answer. He immediately offered to price match the online price (Lowe's online price) and helped with all of my questions! He was extremely helpful and made the process very painless! Placed an order online. It arrived within the window given. However, Lowe's charged us TWICE!!! That's 2 time!!!!! Once when we placed the order and again when we picked it up. We called CS and they tried to blame the bank. Hello - you had to send it twice for the bank to charge it twice. Lowe's then proceeded to tell me we would get our $ back in 3-10 business days. Lowes is your standard mega hardware store. Of the major three, this is the one I choose to go to. Menards is great for cheap products, but the quality is lower. Home Depot is where you go if you want the same thing Lowes sells, only you want to pay more money for it. Lowes has a pretty good return policy and decent selection. They tend to have good plants, but they don't compare to your local nursery. Bottom line is they are a mega store shipping in products from all over the place. I find the closer you get to the front of the store, the less the employees know. So if you have a specific question, head to the back of the store and find the employee that's stocking shelves or wandering out of the back rooms. If you ask people for help at the help desk, you'll likely be directed to the people in the back of the store. read more

I was looking for a propane tank and called Lowe's when a local Ace Hardware didn't have the right size. The first customer service agent was great! Welcoming and friendly. She transferred me to another department and the worker who picked up the phone was having a conversation for about 10 minutes with another worker. She briefly asked about propane to the third worker and then started using what sounded like a forklift. Then I came in the next day to pay my Lowe's card off with my debit card so I wouldn't get charged interest. The lady charged my debit card $607 and said it didn't go through. Total ineptness... started planning a bathroom remodeling project with Lowes in April 2011. Contractor referrals received from Lowes either did not show up to do the estimates, or showed up and did not follow through on providing the estimates. Orders were misplaced repeatedly. Items purchased for later pick up were lost. It is now August and we are ready for the toilet to be picked up for installation. Lowes is now wanting verification that we did not take the item with us at purchase. We just got a call from the non-Lowes contractor that we hired stating that Lowes ran through their old security camera tape and verified we did not take the toilet at purchase.
