Wow! We came for the Sullivan Express Train, but we will return to explore this shop! Beautifully decorated for Christmas! So many different areas to explore! The store is divided off into different 'rooms' with different types of decor, tools and Christmas trees! Several areas were great photo props for the grandkids! Everyone working was friendly and helpful. Prices seemed to be reasonable. Enjoyed the train, however, next year we will probably find a free Santa to visit as the price was steep.

Sullivan's makes getting my garden started so easy! They have a beautiful garden center and everything is so nicely organized. They have a broad selection of flowers, vegetables and fruit which was perfect for what I am creating. I spent about $20 and went home with 10 seedlings so the value is impeccable!

An interesting Saturday afternoon date.... we went to Sullivan's Hardware. We love going there to look at what is in season in the garden center. We'll get some flowers usually. This time, we went window shopping, bought some plants and had a nice lunch. Yep, they have a restaurant in this hardware store. And, it's a darn good one. It is located back by the grills. You may be thinking, "I don't want to eat while people are shopping for whatever hardware they need!" But, once you step in, you are transported away to a fun environment with great service and a menu that is a good value and not too hard on the wallet. Plus, bonus!, it tastes really good too! And by the way - come at Christmas, ride a train or just check out the great decor too!

Usually come here during the holiday season with friends to shop, and it's always a fun time! The concept of having wine and browsing is great! I love that this is your standard hardware store, but they have so much more! I got cats cradle, because nostalgia, and some other fun trinkets! 2026 goal check out the restaurant inside, and see what other fun items are available during the non Christmas season!

The Christmas train is just so cute! It was our first time doing it and our toddler absolutely loved it. Tips: dress warm, book a weekday/midday train if you want to be able to find parking in the parking lot (it got packed 5pm-on), and snag a holiday drink beforehand at the restaurant! They have a themed drink and dessert menu!

Nice selection of children's gifts from luxury to affordable.

As a family trying to avoid buying everything off Amazon, Sullivan's fills the gap for home repair, gardening items, Christmas decor and even secret Santa and white elephant gifts. This hardware and garden store is so much more than meets the eye. There's even a nice cozy little restaurant inside! The Sullivan's Express train ride during the holiday season is a do not miss event if you have young children. The Santa they hire is top notch. Customer service is excellent too.

Sullivan's had a night in the garden. You bought tickets before hand and several restaurants were present. Drinks not included. It was hot as heck but the sweat only slightly slowed the evening. The garden was back behind the nursery and was beautiful. Tables were set up and umbrellas were present There was a great band that played easy rock. A little on the loud side but definitely good. Just as a thought , you could have a wedding in this facility it is that nice Food was all you could eat and there was plenty. Dirty dishes and trash were cleared as soon as you were done. Rain came for a while. They brought out more umbrellas but not necessary as everyone was enjoying themselves We ate plenty and enjoyed wine or margarita smoothies. The pictures I hope give you more of an idea of the evening Would we go again, you betcha

This place is amazing. If you're a gardener or lover of plants, you can spend a lot of time (and money!) here. The plants are gorgeous and healthy; the planters and arrangements are inspiring if you're the diy sort. Sullivans also has a cafe/restaurant which I've not tried but the menu seemed tempting. They also have a ton of yard art, decorations, locally made products, and unique gifts. This place is worth a visit even if you don't buy anything.

I've been meaning to stop by Sullivan Hardware & Garden during the holidays for years. This year, I made a bucket list of holiday activities to do with our 15 mo. old kiddo and Sullivan was on the list. I had heard about the ever-so-popular train ride and tree installations. We wanted to beat the train rush and just see all of the holiday trees this round. We were amazed by the variety of items this store sells. It's a great spot for holiday gift shopping (in addition to all of the decor and Christmas trees). It was fun to see our son take in all of the sights and sounds. We ended up leaving with some holiday gifts. You can find everything from bird seed and recipe books to ornaments and tropical plants. It's quite the variety. Not to mention that they have a restaurant and bar on site to round out the experience. Can't wait to visit next year and try out the train ride.

Three different trains run on this indoor display.

Sullivan Hardware, where you can find neighborhood friendly service and traditional parts, with all the fancy amenities a BMW- driving yuppie needs. This place has family history but seems to have evolved with the times for its gentrified location and clientele. Lots of fun displays for more than just hardware. High end decor, socks, puzzles, coolers, food, grills, etc... Expensive holiday trees, high end grills, or a smoked panini for lunch, this unusual hardware store has it all. I didn't buy anything but it was a fun hour of browsing.

I drove by the strip center containing Pearl Plants earlier this week and was instantly intrigued…read more It's located in a small, older strip building (3 businesses) located just east of The Mousetrap near 56th and Keystone. This is a small establishment by appearances, though it's bigger on the inside and roomy enough that I was quite impressed with wheelchair accessibility. Pearl Plants is, you can probably guess, a plant shop. It's level to the ground and has a couple accessible, though not legally, parking spots directly in front of it. I was able to use one of the spots. The doorway is relatively easy to open, though an employee saw me and came over just to make sure I got in. The front room is filled with plants, though they have nice pathways and I had no trouble maneuvering in the wheelchair. They have a fairly wide variety of plants, though it's important to note they're new enough that they're still getting settled and stocked. I was a little concerned with some of the plants that didn't look terrific, though overall the selection was solid and the prices were fair. They had a nice variety of prices, as well. Got a kid that wants a plant? They have the cutest smaller plants that you can get for $4-6. The front room is primarily plants, though they do have some planters and some other smaller plant-related items. There's a room behind the main room that is mainly filled with planters and plant stands and similar equipment. Again, I found the prices fair. Finally, there's also a back room. It includes more plant-related items. They also have art on the wall for sale in the backroom - it seemed mostly plant or nature related. My sense was that it was local. The shop was clean. They were cleaning and requiring masks. Additionally, they had masks laid out at the door (disposable) and some masks for sale. Employees were friendly, though introverted. They were helpful - they regularly offered help but not in an intrusive way. I ended up buying a plant mainly because I want to support the new kid on the block on this hard time. I've been on a plant binge lately and I may be in trouble having a plant shop so close to my house. I'll definitely be back. I'll likely wait for them to get a bit more settled. I'd like to get a bigger plant for my home and parking is close enough to the door here that it will be easier to facilitate. With friendly employees, a welcoming environment, a nice selection, and good prices this is a nice addition to the SoBro area and here's hoping the word gets out. I will confess I pondered a 4-star rating here. However, I'm giving the "newly opened" curve and the benefit of the doubt. I like this place a lot and am leaning upward and sticking with the 5-star.

There are many glass shapes and accessories to choose from. You pay for the glass and plant (choose from air plants or cacti) and the soil, sand, moss, pebbles, and smaller accessories are no cost. The remaining accessories, which are larger in size, are less than a dollar. This was a fun activity and you can get really creative. Throughout the store, they have well priced plants of all kinds and unique planter options too.

While I've long been familiar with McNamara Florist, I was wheeling around the Glendale area today…read moreand decided to give this location a visit given I knew they'd be all decked out for the holidays. McNamara Florist was started in Indy in 1954 and has eight retail locations in Central Indiana along with a greenhouse/nursery in the Fort Wayne area. Not so long ago, McNamara relocated their main headquarters back to Indy from Fishers. It's now located on the near-eastside of Indy in an area that is definitely getting a sense of renewal. While McNamara is local, it definitely has a national reputation. They offer a variety of flowers, plants, home decor, and delivery options. They were definitely decked out for the holidays with a festive array of decorations, plants, etc. This location is actually on East 62nd Street and it's toward the back of Glendale town Center in the same area as the Huntington Learning Center and Jet's Pizza. Parking is available with accessible options and appropriate curb cuts. I happened to be parked at Target and visited several businesses in this strip center with no difficulty as a wheelchair user. When I arrived, I was the only customer. That changed pretty quickly. Employees were responsive and friendly - a bit hovering but not overwhelming. If I have one beef here, and it's pretty common during the holidays, it's that accessibility definitely was a bit lacking in-store. While I'd imagine they don't get a ton of wheelchair users, I'd think anyone with mobility issues might struggle in here. They have some high-end glass Christmas trees that I was terrified I was going to tip over (I didn't). There were ultimately places I wanted to get to that I simply couldn't. However, I'd say I could get to about 75% of the story without too much difficulty. The store was definitely warm and inviting with a festive spirit and light holiday music in the background. Pricing was clearly marked on nearly every item and while this is what I'd consider to be a more premium florist, it's definitely got stuff in a variety of price ranges. I like that they offer plant and flower subscriptions and McNamara is for sure an Indiana success story when it comes to plants and flowers. I sometimes forget it's here, however, this visit was a solid reminder to consider McNamara the next time I need flowers.

Parking is either along the street or alongside the building. As I've noted, most of the other parking lots along here are privately owned and pretty open about the fact you shouldn't park there. SoBro Flower Co. is a sister establishment to 21 Petals in Lafayette. They are a full-service florist with flowers, wedding/funeral options, plants, chocolate (mostly DeBrand), and even some art. This particular shop benefits from having a pre-existing concrete ramp at the entryway (I believe the previous vendor - which I've completely forgotten - had it done). Prices are pretty consistent with full-service florists, and they do have delivery options. The atmosphere is very winning, and the employees are quite friendly and helpful.
