Great product, Price and customer service! I would definitely use them again. All good. Easy to book online and delivered right on time

The staff were amazing! They helped me find all of the exact stones I wanted and didn't seem to mind how long it took. I love that you can have them bring you a pallet and you can select exactly how much you want and which exact stones if you're picky! read more

Staff was amazing. Very patient and helpful. We were able to get what we needed at an amazing price. Great place to buy mulch and stone

1 order was dropped in a very bad spot, ON A HILL, could not scoop the pile easily with a tractor. Next order, dropped where I wanted, but the delivery driver destroyed our mailbox backing out of driveway. NO EMAIL CONTACT TO BRING THIS TO THEIR ATTENTION SO I HAVE TO POST COMPLAINT HERE. read more

I have to compliment McCarty on their great customer service. I had a problem with an order that was delivered, and without hesitation, once I told them about it, they resolved the issue to my satisfaction. It's rare to see such great customer service these days and I will continue to be a customer in the future. Thanks. read more

I called yesterday (May 29, 2024) and spoke to Carissa. She was patient, considerate, friendly, and took the time to understand exactly what I was describing with my project. She offered some recommendations and was truly helpful in getting my DIY project back on the right track. Looking forward to working more with this company as I'm sure- with Carissa as my barometer of a happy employee- when the employees are happy, the business is good :-) P.S. Thanks Carissa! My oddly-shaped, half-oval, river rock base of a driveway thanks you too! read more

I chose to purchase mulch from the McCarty business because the staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable. I didn't purchase anything special or large... just some fill dirt and topsoil. It was just normal and you could even say a small purchase. And, so, why would I bother to give them a 5 star review? Truthfully, the real reason I bothered is because they sent me a thank you note for my small business. That - and it was truly, actually, physically signed and addressed by a live, real person. I want to support local business, and I believe local and small businesses provide better service. They have the potential to truly meet the needs of clients and are the backbone of our communities. The thank you note I received proved that even more. So, will I be back? Oh, yes, absolutely! They have put forth the effort to provide the best service they can and to just be a good business, and that has earned my loyalty. read more

The team at McCarty Mulch and Stone were all helpful to assist us to get the best product. Ultimately, the blended topsoil https://www.landscapemulch.com/landscape/bulk-soils/blended-topsoil/ was the best match for our project. They were able to deliver it a window on our schedule. We worried that 5 cubic yards were going to be too much for the driver to get onto our driveway. He promised it would be exactly in the middle and no spillover to the grass. He did it! Perfect delivery, on time, courteous, and with a smile. Now it is time for gardening! read more

My company has been purchasing lots of black mulch from McCarty Mulch for years. Staff is very nice and quick. Delivery right on time every time. I would recommend them to anyone. I never have any issues with mulch, service or delivery. And I couldn't imagine any situation where they would not make it right if a customer was not fully satisfied. read more

Contactless stone purchase! Mulch? Gravel? This is the way to go! Looking for flagstone for a waterfall and this is the place to go and the way to shop! Front loaders and fork lift operators all over to help. No pressure. Take name and number to collect payment over the phone. Highly recommend! read more

It's a decent place to get landscaping supplies at a very competitive price. The office staff is cordial and helpful in knowing about and navigating their products. We had ordered bulk stone from them previously as well as bulk mulch. After several phone conversations I thought we had our calculations right regarding the mulch, but we didn't. I am still a bit befuddled as to what really happened. The discrepancies were not questioned or caught during the finalization of the order (after a few phone calls) and we ended up with way too much. I am still unclear if the previous conversations were noted in their file. I am only aware of the last contact being documented before closing the sale. We ended up with at least three times more than what we needed, so we ended up getting real creative,.... and after much effort, we were able to work it into the current landscaping. Like life, it's always - live and learn. Sage advice: Make sure you give them the proper dimensions, and then check, double check, triple check, (and maybe even quadruple check them), just to be sure. Despite the snafu, I would do business with them again. read more

Needed bag black mulch, went to a local...the local company knocked it out of the park...delivered on time, delivered as requested, called and ordered more....no complaints. Nice Job McCarty Team...I will spread the word, and by the way the price was right! read more

McCarty Mulch & Stone - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Greenwood, Indiana

Have used McCarty for a number of years. Mostly for yearly mulch delivery, but also for compost, top soil and straw bale delivery. I'm pretty sure one year they delivered both soil and mulch in a truck that had dividers. They are always on time and the delivery drivers are very good. I've ordered hardwood mulch and economy mulch and have always been happy with the look. I've also picked up stone and pine straw bales myself from their facility in my little truck. Never felt intimidated going there by myself as a woman, even the time I used my sedan to get stepping stones. They will help load your car if needed. read more

McCarty Mulch & Stone - 10 yards of economy mulch delivered spring 2015 by McCarty. - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Greenwood, Indiana

we got a few ton of white marble rock delivered everything fine until we started to spread it. Full of some sorta brown rock mixed into it and a lot of sand. A lot of SAND no more rock orders from them again guaranteed read more

Just finishing the construction of two large raised beds for vegetables and needed something a grade up from plain topsoil to fill them. Called several places, but Mccarty's had what I needed: a compost-topsoil blend. Took care of everything by phone, Jennifer was very helpful, advising that I already had the right size tarps for under and over the 8 yards I ordered (they sell tarps also, if needed). Same day delivery to Fishers was available, and the driver called about an hour in advance as agreed. Had the 12'x20' tarp on the driveway, and the dump was perfect - about one shovelful of spillover on each of the four sides. Price was competitive, everyone was a joy to work with! read more

I have used these folks twice now and I will always give them the first chance at my business. Best price for the products I needed and with a split load dump truck I can get the stuff I need with only one delivery price. The drivers are always very nice and the office staff super helpful. Great job McCarty!! read more

I ordered 4 cu yards of their most expensive topsoil blend in fall of 2021 while making a brand new flower bed. Delivery was no issue. But the QUALITY IS BAD. It is FULL OF SAND. I am in landlocked Indiana, not Florida. My plants, mostly brand new roots and bulbs planted in the fall, look sickly this spring. I ordered from McCarty after a bad experience with Northside's soil being full of gravel. At least I can screen out gravel. But the sand has ruined the bed. Never again, McCarty. read more

I ordered 3 yards of landscape rock and got it delivered the same day within a couple of hours! Great service, perfect product, and so quick. I would definitely recommend McCarty Mulch & Stone. Plus, they send a cute thank you note. read more

I work with lots of landscaping companies and usually it feels like pulling teeth! Trying to get pricing, organizing delivery, making payments, etc... This company has literally revolutionized my view of mulch/dirt delivery: 1. Their website is SO EASY TO USE. Most contractors, subcontractors, etc. have outdated, inaccurate, and confusing websites. This company has done a great job keeping their pricing up to date, and walking you through the ordering process. 2. Their office staff and delivery people are so friendly! There's nothing more frustrating than trying to spent $100-$1000 on dirt of mulch, only to be treated negatively by angry employees! NOT THIS COMPANY! Friendly office staff and great delivery drivers. They always call ahead to make sure you'll be home and/or to verify where to drop off the mulch or dirt. 3. I seriously haven't found better/easier pricing. I've used them for my own home and on a few business job sites (rental properties). They always do a great job. They've even coached me on which dirt would be best to use depending on the type of job. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them! read more

McCarty is a great place for local business owners, or homeowners to use. High quality material, great prices, and very efficient. The staff is very nice as well. Thank you. read more

Their price and delivery was top notch on a 50/50 mixture of top soil and composite. They delivered at the early end of their quoted time, which is exceptional nowadays. Enjoyed talking with the driver and his ability to put the dirt right where I wanted it - on center of the tarp. read more

I order 10-15 yds of mulch from McCarty every year, and I've gotten both the economy mix and the hardwood mix. I've also gotten compost and topsoil from them in the past. Very satisfied with everything I have ordered from them. Their pricing is competitive but it's their customer service and delivery that put them over the top in my book. Their website is very helpful for looking for what you need and pricing is listed clearly (MUCH better than other landscape websites). They are also very helpful and friendly on the phone if you have questions or like to order that way. I have done pickup myself with a trailer and that went fine. Anymore, I usually just have them deliver. They have a very reasonable delivery fee and the drivers are always on-time and professional. Highly recommend. read more

Great service, FAST delivery, super awesome and friendly people, and great products. I love their planter's soil for my raised garden beds! Highly recommended!! read more

McCarty Mulch always delivers a high quality product and are very easy to work with. We would not use anyone else!

We are installing a new garden area in our front yard and were in need of bark mulch. I searched the web and found McCarty. After reading the positive reviews, we drove there and were pleasantly surprised how well run they are. The showroom had nicely arranged baskets of sample mulches so we didn't have to go to the "back yard" to see what we wanted. We bought 9 cubic yards of their Economy Trail Mix mulch which was very reasonably priced. A sales woman wrote up our order and she was very efficent and pleasant. We also bought a 16' x 20' tarp on which to put the delivered mulch. The very next day the delivery truck showed up and dumped the mulch exactly in the middle of the tarp which was impressive. McCarty is a great "find" and one of the few businesses of it's type that really has its act together. Their web site is very comprehensive and clearly laid out. I recommend McCarty without hesitation. read more

We ordered mulch from McCarty and had ordered from them in the past. They arrived when they said they would and were friendly and professional. We received a thank-you card and e-mail from them. So nice! Would highly recommend them. read more

I would not recommend this company, I tried to order online, and after verifying my price and entering in credit card information, an additional fee nearly doubled the total cost. When I called to let them know, they said I didn't read the page before. Regardless, as a consumer, the total accurate price should be reflected on the same page where I place my order and enter in my payment details. This is poor business practice and I will find a different provider to use moving forward. read more

Purchased 3 cubic yards of black mulch. It was delivered in the morning and there were rain showers in the afternoon. The black dye washed off the much and now I have brown mulch. I called McCarty and was told too bad for you, the mulch needs to set several days for the dye to set.Why do they deliver mulch that is not ready for customers? Be careful if you buy mulch from McCarty or you could get the same screw I received, Next year I will buy from Indiana Mulch and Stone. read more

Great experience! I priced some landscaping rock at several local chain home improvement stores. The prices at McCarty's were drastically less, to include their delivery fees. The quality of rock was also better. And their team in the office helped schedule a home delivery, which was right on time as promised. Great overall experience!!!! I would definitely recommend them for your stone/mulch needs. read more

Friendly service from McCartys. I called the day before and had no problem getting it to me the very next morning. They helped me through all the selections and helped me pick the one that I wanted. Said they would be there the next day by 10am and was there by 7:30am great job read more
