Don't bother calling in January for a lawn mower to be serviced that you bought from them...as they will tell you " your on the list to be serviced and they will call you when they are ready to work on it" and by April after calling every month for an update and being told " we will call in a few days", you can no longer get service in an acceptable time as I was told after 90 days of waiting it will be another 2 or so weeks. I took my Gas Snowblower there because of carburetor issues, It was repaired in less than a week and just in time before the Snow storm. Their service dept has always been great. I have been using them for 20 yrs. I tead a poor review earlier from someone, and my guess is he went there on a very busy day. I have used Dannemiller multiple times over the past couple of years so I can say this is an honest review. From buying fertilizer, ordering mower parts, to the lawn mower they just delivered to me, i always get great service! It may not be much to some, but I just purchased a new push mower and they prepped it, registered it with Toro, and delivered it to me at 6:00pm on a Friday night! On top of that, Gregg (I believe) took the time to make sure I was comfortable with the product before he left! I will continue to use them and would recommend them! read more

yes they have a niche in the market but.... they also have coupons printed for$5 off on your next $25 purchase. Then try to tell you they can't discount on service items so coupon can't be used. No mention of this anywhere on the coupon. I would not recommend this establishment unless you like getting jerked around . To the owners.... come on guys you shouldn't print coupons then make stipulations when presented. Not a way to win new customers or retain old ones. Avoid doing business here!! The owner of Dannemiller is incredibly deceptive. In December of 2017, we hired Dannemiller to do a winterization of our lawn mower, based on a flyer we received in the mail. The winterization was advertised as $159. Rather than the advertised $159, they gave us an invoice for $302. We questioned the additional fees and the owner told us they replaced parts not included in the winterization. We never gave them authorization to do any work other than the winterization. We did not run the mower after the winterization since it was done in December. Now, April 2018, we turned on our mower to mow our lawn. It made a terrible sound, which we concluded were the mower blades hitting the mower deck. We called the owner of Dannemiller and told him of the problem. He told us he would come get the mower, take it back to his shop, and see what the issue was. A couple days later, he called and told us the mower was ready to be returned and we owed him $102. We refused to pay, but he would not return our mower without us paying. Again, we never gave him authorization to do any work. In taking/delivering the mower in December, he or his employees put a dent in the mower deck, which the blades were hitting. He caused the damage plus we never gave authorization for any work to be done on the mower to fix it. Dannemiller is engaging in deceptive business practices, which based on reviews, they have done to numerous consumers. read more

If I could give this establishment a negative rating, I most certainly would. This business lacks integrity, customer service, and professionalism. I had a lawnmower in their shop for repair and maintenance. I was explained that the lawnmower would be examined inside and out and anything that was not functioning would be replaced up to the agreed upon dollar amount. This amount was $250. If the lawnmower required more than $250 worth of work they were to call me and indicate how much more would be required to get the lawn mower in working condition. The bill came to $249; therefore, I received no phone call and paid the $249. Before the lawnmower was delivered, I asked the maintenance technician to ensure that all parts that required repair were adequately handled since the bill came so close to that $250 mark. I was assured the lawn mower had been inspected and was in working condition. I received the lawnmower and immediately began to mow my lawn. I was not even able to mow a full strip of grass before the lawnmower broke due to a belt that was clearly worn and in dire need of repair. I contacted Dannemiller's because they had not fulfilled their end of the agreement. They indicated I would need to pay an additional $187 for the repair of my lawnmower. I respectfully disagreed due to the fact the original job was not completed to my satisfaction due to the fact that if the original job had been thoroughly completed I would have had a working lawnmower. When the belt was removed it was glaringly obvious that the break did not happen simply by mowing that single, solitary strip of grass. The owner stated that I simply did not know what I was talking about and I should stop asking for handouts. In addition when speaking with him I felt verbally berated and insulted simply because I am female. He was not willing to acknowledge the negligence of his employees and in addition he stated that he would hold my lawnmower until the additional $187 was paid in full. I do not enjoy the implications that I am uneducated or that I ask for work to be completed for free. What I asked for was for the work to be completed that was agreed upon. I work very hard for my money and I will never utilize either this Dannemiller or the business located in Southport. In addition, any chance I have to let hard working people know about the type of 'customer service' or lack thereof that is offered here I will gladly do so. read more
