It is a little off the beaten track, located near Tony Stewart's elaborate estate west of Columbus. Not too many flowers, but lots of shrubs, bushes, hedges, etc, at reasonable prices. The business is part of a vertically integrated landscaping concern run by an over-educated gentleman named Dean, although the nursery is run by a friendly and knowledgeable manager named Kim. She is a font of ideas and suggestions, and if you bring photos of your garden and house she is more than willing to get you going. This is about as non-corporate as it gets, and the selection is way more diverse than the big box stores. The shrubs are grown and tended with care, and are guaranteed healthy--you can replace anything that doesn't survive. If you want great service with a personal touch, you can't go wrong here. There's a good bit of deferred maintenance in the gardens but they are still impressive. Apparently they do NOT dig their own plants anymore. One thing I really love about this nursery is the outstanding knowledgeable staff who can tell you so much about many of the plants they sell but be patient as they give this kind of great service to other customers. 4 stars instead of 5 because they don't dig their own plants.

I had to go in to ask about some bushes we were interested in and wanted to see if they had more or were getting more. The two women working the register were extremely rude and disrespectful. They were more concerned about cutting cardboard and making faces and gossiping. I finally got one's attention as the other continued to talk over me and I was just asking for help. She told me she couldn't help me and the other gave me a weird look as I was disrupting their gossip time. The prices were a bit high, but we wanted to support local. If you pride yourself in the quality in what you carry. Where is the quality customer services? We put back what we already picked and the list of everything we needed back. We already had several thousand dollars worth of things and needed help with the rest. We went to support different a local nursery that deserved the business. I thought decorating a cake on Valentines morning would be a great way to spend a few hours with friends. The bungalow they use for classes is so adorable, and it is so fun that they offer such a range of topics and content. They also give you a discount on any purchases you make in the nursery after your class. I really like the selection of plants they offer, especially even in winter. Most nurseries are empty, but Alice's had air plants and indoor plants and they all looked so healthy and thriving.
